Can never achieve these hair looks, help!

Bit of a style crush on Jenna Coleman and my hair is similar length. I can never achieve these touselled kind of hair looks (or find them on YouTube as I don't know what they are called). Will post as separate posts so please reference each post if you can help name the style or identify the techniques! This one I like how its not too fussy.

I get them if I curl my hair at night (big curls) and then go to sleep. My hair looks like that in the morning.

A favourite as it's straight but with shape and I have no idea how to even describe it?! Now awaiting further pants detail haha!

Just put your wrist through a leg hole, double them round, then use them like a giant bobble 😁 it makes big soft waves where a real bobble gives you lines in your hair.

A bit of Lush R&B hair conditioner in the morning smooths it all out.

I think this is hugely to do with her having naturally thick but straight hair so it styles easily. Mine is super curly but because it's thick, it still has plenty of volume on the rare occasions I straighten it. What's your hair texture / thickness like?

My hair is very similar to hers, thick and easily straightened but does have some kink. Hmm I've got my hair tied in a ponytail in knickers, do you mean more of folding it back on itself so a scruffy bun rather than a ponytail @bearfoxbear

Yes, fold it back in, I twist it as many times as possible.

Do yu put the knicker bun on top of your head?

I am fascinated by the knicker bun but think I’d just end up with a frizzy mess as I have fine hair

Blow dry with big round brush for loose waves, paddle brush for the straighter one. Straighteners would make it look very flat.

If you already have thick hair and don’t need to worry about volume then you can curl with the straighteners for a tousled look. The trick is to kind of pull the straighteners down vertically as you’re curling. Curl in the same direction the whole way round, bit of mousse to scruff it up a bit.

I have just washed 90% dry hair, I'm putting knickers in to see what happens.

My hair kinda looks like that if I don't do anything to it. I have lots of straight hair.
