45, size 18.

Elder DD (17) says no - too much pattern.

Younger DD (12) says yes - lots of pattern.

Both DS just shrugged...

What is is tho...

GlossyTaco · 22/05/2019 20:36

It's too much pattern imo. Nothing to do with your age or size , it just looks too 'busy.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 22/05/2019 20:37

Would be slightly too patterned for me, but the style is good. Maybe with a long navy vest top? I only ever have one pattern at once, and have very little patterned stuff.

PhannyMcNee · 22/05/2019 20:39

Bugger. I love the orange but they didn’t have a plain orange t-shirt Sad

Am I right thinking it needs to be a fitted t shirt rather than baggy?

Nice pyjamas

Summerorjustmaybe · 22/05/2019 20:40

Navy vest top tucked in...

whatswithtodaytoday · 22/05/2019 20:40

I like the trousers, but not with the stripes. Try a plain top?

PhannyMcNee · 22/05/2019 20:41

And thank you Smile

I’m not a regular in S&B and this a very new look for me! I’m normally tunics & jeans or dresses but saw the trousers in Seasalt and fell a little bit in love with them!

You don't look size 18. Both items are really nice on you and it doesn't look awful but both would look better with a plain top or bottom. You have a great figure.

holdupthere · 22/05/2019 20:42

Eh I like the clash of patterns actually. Flattering trousers!

Apileofballyhoo · 22/05/2019 20:43

The shape of the t -shirt is perfect.

DeadBod · 22/05/2019 20:46

Too much pattern. You need a plain top.
Are you really an 18? Surely not.

AnyFucker · 22/05/2019 20:46

Take no notice of me Phanny Grin

If you like 'em that's all that counts. But the top needs to be plain.

Kanga83 · 22/05/2019 20:46

I like them but I think it needs a plain white or navy T-shirt/long sleeve top. Not too baggy, the fit of your T-shirt is perfect.

russianoak · 22/05/2019 20:46

Love the patterns, I think you look great! And not that it matters, but I wouldn't peg you as a size 18.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 22/05/2019 20:47

I love 'em both, but not together! Agree tucked in navy top would look great with the trousers.

I normally love a pattern clash but here I think a crisp white tee would look great! Love the trews

PhannyMcNee · 22/05/2019 20:51

Very kind apileodballyhoo - def a size 18 but tall and hour glass shaped which helps Wink

I think that’s why I liked the trousers - they are elasticated waist at the back so actually fit my waist and the wide leg masks my thunderous thighs! I watched enough Trinny, Susannah and Gok back in the day to know that it’s all about showing off the good bits Smile

I’m also a bit of a bugger for mixing patterns/colours so like the busy look BUT realise it could be OTT and ruin a good outfit Blush

Better? Not a great top but the right colour?

Definitely better. Now you're streamlined.

Summerorjustmaybe · 22/05/2019 20:56

Skinnier straps but colour is ideal!!

GeorgeTheBleeder · 22/05/2019 20:57

I think it’s a rather fine combination! Add a decent leather belt and a good plain jacket - plus sunglasses and ... hmm ... flatforms for balance and height - clever outfit.

(On holiday you could try a printed silk scarf belt but keep a tailored shape of jacket - adds gravitas.)

And yes, you look skinnier than an 18 ...
