That pink and black puts me in mind of a star trek uniform for some reason I think it's all the sharp diagonals.

I realise this is memorabilia rather than style or beauty, but this decorative bell to mark the occasion of Prince Andrew and Sarah Fergusson's engagement was on sale at the Anglesey Antiques fair today.

Oh, I've looked again and I think it's a Bell's Whisky novelty item. I only took a quick snap at the stall as the stall holder was very eagle eyed.

Going back to PW and PC vs the Queen -I wonder if she was helped by not being born into the job?

From what I have read, there was always a sense among some in the RF that because of the PofW's personality and love interests, Elizabeth might become queen one day. But chances are those notions were kept from her. For her though, I think much of it might be personality. I recall Crawfie's account of her finding out she would be queen is that she took it in stride. She was 10 years old, and Margaret, age 6, is reported to have said "Poor you."

She has form for slightly interesting outfits on race day. The patterned dress is last year and the red one was 2017 and it has an interesting hemline.

I'm afraid I think Charlene's outfit today is really rather unfortunate. I love Beatrice Borromeo's dress though.

There is no multi-colour tunic over trousers that could look good! I think Charlene couldn’t give less of a hoot about royal duties or being anywhere near Albert, and doesn’t care much for fashion. Beatrice looks nice but I’m suspicious as to why that generation never hang out with Charlene and make her feel welcome (yes making lots of assumptions! But you never see them together)

I get the impression from the photos of the Swedish RF in Ireland that the King doesn't spend much time standing around in muddy fields with dry stone walls around them.

I’m going to break ranks here. I don’t mind Charlene’s tunic.
It’s the pairing of it with those salmon pink pants, They are very Palm Beach Matron.
I think she should have worn skinny cigarette pants and continued the colour blocking theme, with a darker pink; like say Watermelon.
