I can't quite get my head around how an avocado so could be so dangerous. I suppose it's the 21st century equivalent of the chip pan......now they were scary 😱
Back to avocados, I was taught to gently skim all round the middle of the avocado with a knife. Put knife down & twist avocado until you get two halves. Sometimes the stone can be gently prised out with fingers or you trim round the stone with a knife then use a spoon to scoop it out. Apologies if I'm teaching grandma to suck eggs.
Anyway I find old fashioned veg peelers scary (the stick type) after at the age of 4 I deciding to help DM peel the carrots as a surprise.......my DM screamed as there was so much blood. I give those peelers a wide berth.

I'm sure it would be very easy to banish senior aristos whom have stepped out of line.

Hah, if Rose attends the Trump banquet, we'll be able to tell how much trouble she's in by how close she sits to the guest of honour. If she's right next to him, we'll know she's done something truly awful

On the first Trump visit HM wore a brooch given to her by the Obamas to signify their friendship, a brooch in the shape of a snowflake given to her by Justin Trudeau on behalf of Canada & finally she wore a brooch that the QM last wore to the funeral of George VI (a sad occasion)
So reading from that HM was saying I like the Obamas, you're a silly snowflake Mr Trump & Mr Trudeau is better than you. I'm not very happy with this occasion & I'm only meeting you because I have to. I wish my parents were still here to tell you to bugger orf!
Of course HM could be doing nothing of the sort & just wearing what she likes........however she's clever our HM.

Swedish royals visiting the Ericsson plant in Athlone, Ireland this week...state visit to Dublin which has passed me by. Tiny picture so impossible to comment on clothes other than to say they appear to be wearing some. First time my hometown newspaper has been linked to these illustrious threads .

We’ve had all the royals this week as Charles and Camilla are in Wicklow visiting the Avoca handweavers... Prince Charles seems to be enjoying himself. I like Camilla’s coat.
