Is Sophie wearing a butterfly clip to hold her hair back, or is that a trick if the camera? I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a butterfly clip as scrunches are coming back into fashion ( but the velvet is good for the hair )

mathanxiety I agree! I loved that dress at the wedding & here. I also like the high necklines so I guess I’m a gang of one!

Heels are much easier to walk distances in if you are very light - I could do a 12 hour shift on my feet when I was 7 stone, I can last about 20 minutes now! Kate really is tiny.

Chipping in to say that I may not always agree with @BertrandRussell but even then the posts make me pause to consider her posts as she usually talks sense. Plus I like that she is fairly direct which always helps to clarify unclear posts or (un)intentionally call out snide or snippy posters.

As you were. Kate needed to shred that dress and all night wear inspired shapeless clothing in her wardrobe.

CPM wearing H&M (the retailer, not the Sussexes) today. It's quite similar to the dress she wore a couple days ago.

Deurking to 'tentatively' join the thread - I'm always slightly nervous of commenting on s&b for showing my total lack of knowledge on the subject 😁. I was surprised at KM's outfit choice yesterday - I usually think she looks lovely, if a little 'safe' sometimes. But usually she gets it spot on. Her dress seemed a bit too flashy for the occasion (as in the amount of leg!) so I'm wondering if it was a button malfunction? It's years since she's flashed herself like that and she's usually quite demure nowadays.

Gorgeous shoes there on CPM. I wish I had their shoe budgets!

Are there any Norwegians on this thread? Would love to know what the Norwegian public generally think of their New Age Princess Martha? Can't help but think she's be dragged across the coals in the UK with her new love life.

Ok, hot off the press re Norway, news is: mostly positive but some conservative people think it's crazy.

I’m really interested in social history and I would love to know about the social side of the royals. Maybe for security we don’t see it, but have we any photos of what their homes look like? We see gold pianos and dining tables that seat 50 people but do we ever get to see any photos of where they watch television or curl up on their sofas. Those chippendale chairs don’t look very comfortable!

Also what do the royals do when they don’t have engagements. Kate looks like she works out but does she go to a gym class for very rich people? How do they shop for clothes? Can you bump into Harry in the Gucci shop?

I love imagining that side of their lives. Does anyone have any stories?
