Weren't they all at Boarding school from a young age? The wales boys spent summers split between balmoral and KP plus I'm sure a holiday or two so who knows how much time they spent together!

Harry had lots of family there and a fair few of his friends too! Including his ex girlfriend. If anyone should of cut back to make way for his family it was him!

I was also under the impression that the link to the Clooney's was Harry initially.

In Oprah's case, I think it is fairly well known that she had voiced support for Meghan both in public and in private in connection with the racism that Meghan was experiencing in certain sections of the British press and online. So perhaps their friendship was established over that. It is obvious that Meghan was interested in honoring her African American heritage at the wedding. I think that Oprah's presence was part of that.

I have a memory of Victoria Beckham after the weddi g saying 'she seems like a lovely girl' which made me think she had not actually met Meghan.

Probably not but again, the Beckhams would've been invited by Harry. I doubt they knew Kate either, before her wedding.

For whatever reason Meghan had virtually no guests at her wedding. The ones she did have were work colleagues or people who had come on the scene since her engagement who may or may not have become her friend had they met when she wasn't engaged to a prince. We'll never know.

However it is entirely their decision who gets invited to a wedding and I don't know many people who would recognise their distant cousins let alone invite them to their wedding.

I think with most American network shows you end up spending so much time with your colleagues that they end up becoming your friends!

We'll also never know if she did indeed have old friends there as a) the guest list hasn't been released and b) how would we recognise them?

Suits was my guilty pleasure. I first watched it mainly for the fashion and the wacky premise (I'm a lawyer) and then got drawn in. So I feel like Meghan and I go way back.

What about her aunts? Uncles ? Why not celebrate her African American heritage through them? I really felt so bad for Doria, she was all alone there,why not invite a favorite friend or close family member of her for support,?

The thing is we could recognise a great deal if the congregation, and they weren't there for her.

Wedding gossip is coming in slowly! I’m overseas and I’ve also been away for the weekend so with the time difference I haven’t been able to chat! But here’s what i’ve got so far...
They were sitting opposite the royals in the chapel!!!!
They met P&PMK, kissed the bride.
HM was at the reception briefly but didn’t stay.
Afternoon reception at Frogmore was standing only, canapés and speeches.
There was an evening party in the city which my parents weren’t invited to.
I’ve seen a photo of LGW in a blue dress leaving the reception, but I can only see the skirt. It looks similarly patterned to the wedding dress.
That’s it for now. I’m going to try and call home this morning so will see what else I can find out!

I just googled Doria and it appears she has a couple of older half-siblings and one much younger half-sibling who's younger even than Meghan. Who knows how close they are 🤷🏻‍♀️

Cassandra thanks for those tidbits. Very interesting. I saw a sketch of a dress that looks very bridal. I wonder if that is the blue one you mentioned.

Seems to me they are not as close as people seem to think.

Doria only has half-siblings. She might not be close to them.

@QueenoftheAndals - I have just today been down a wiki rabbit hole and there is a list of guests at H&M's wedding, along with a list of guests for quite a few Royal weddings!

The photos are PR ones of the children at DOC's RHS Garden.
