Previous thread

Any guesses on what Meghan will wear to introduce baby Sussex? I'm guessing Givenchy as it's her go-to designer for big events.

Then again she could surprise us all and come out in a JoJo Maman Bébé breastfeeding tunic!

I'm 5ft 9in and when I met Diana many years ago, she towered over me in her mid-height heels.

QueenOfTheAndals · 10/05/2019 12:15

Oh yes, I've seen their gowns on display at Kensington palace and Diana's are like a giant's in comparison.

keiratwiceknightly · 10/05/2019 12:17

That was what Prince P was supposed to have said about the proposed marriage between Charles and Diana - "well at least she will breed some height in"!

QueenOfTheAndals · 10/05/2019 12:18

Strange to think Diana's a grandmother four times over and wouldn't even be 60 if she was still alive...

Kedgeree · 10/05/2019 12:25

Agree with thenightsky - I've been at very close quarters with Diana and I would say she was a six footer. She athletically built too, so was quite Amazonian in the flesh. She was also much much more beautiful than in photographs.

Kedgeree · 10/05/2019 12:27

And indeed she has bred some height in Grin. I don't think Kate is 6 ft though. She's slim so maybe looks taller than she is. I reckon she's about 5ft 9in, but would come up to 6ft in the high heels. Diana was taller.

MotherofPearl · 10/05/2019 12:28

That is indeed a strange thought @QueenOfTheAndals.

Have we seen these of Max in an interesting dress yesterday? I especially like the one showing her clutch bag apparently open with stuff about to slide out!

FrugalKitty, we're at very different ends of the clothing spectrum! I love a bit of the much despised Per Una wheras you probably recoil in horror at it.😁
My DH is a natural gamine, but his season is blue Spring.

frugalkitty · 10/05/2019 12:41

latedecember you've got it spot on! Per Una was great when it started, lots of summer colours and then they started throwing lace and frills and fuss at it Grin

My DH is also a summer but is a Full Natural which I always say he interpreted as 'tramp' Grin

SenecaFalls · 10/05/2019 12:58

I also think Meghan wears heels for height. I have to admit I like admiring her shoes, but I could never wear anything that high.

allworthwhile · 10/05/2019 12:58

Two years ago Meghan was officially 5’5” as I remember looking it up to compare against!

BertrandRussell · 10/05/2019 13:02

If she’s 5.7 then Harry must be a bloody giant!

QueenOfTheAndals · 10/05/2019 13:25

5'5 is probably a closer estimate. Kate is apparently the same height as me at 5'9 so closing on 6' in heels is about right. And she's so slim she looks taller anyway.

I fell down a google hole trying to find out the heights of different royal women - B&E are 5'4 and 5'5 and Princess Anne is 5'6 but probably adds a few inches with her hairdo!

Ha ha more literal dressing - but this time from Max who looks like she's dressed as a pie chart and/or a version of the diagram behind her.

Regarding CPV and Daniel, I dread to think what their pillow cases must look like! I'm guessing one of the benefits of being a Prince/ss is you can have your bedding changed every day if you want.

I always wanted to see a picture of Daniel without the gel and the glasses - I thought he was disguising his good looks and might turn out to be like Superman, epecially with those cheekbones. But when I finally did, I was quite disappointed (which will no doubt be a huge relief for CPV Grin). But the main thing is he's clearly making her very happy and they do make very cute children!

Elllllle · 10/05/2019 13:43

I wonder whether B&E would have been tiny (in terms of weight/frame) if they had lived in their grandmother's era, given HMQ and Margaret were both so small and based on standard sizing back then, it seems women were generally smaller I think? They seem to have similar sort of figures

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 10/05/2019 14:02

B&E have the Hanoverian bosom

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 10/05/2019 14:04

Harry is 6’1 William is 6’3

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 10/05/2019 14:09

Does anyone know when Harry & Meghan went to this @giveusashout initiative ?
Was it literally this morning? No sign of bump; new coat. Maybe Doria was babysitting?

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 10/05/2019 14:12

Princess Anne is 5'6 but probably adds a few inches with her hairdo!

Can we talk for a moment about Anne's hair? She has strong hair with plenty of body but it could do with smoothing a bit. I appreciate she isn't one to fuss with her hair but while they're bothering to get it into that trademark style could someone not apply a little serum and work their magic with the GHDs?

I feel as though everyone's gone quiet now...

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 10/05/2019 14:13

Check out Meghan’s (vegan probably) leather trousers. She’s literally had 3 days maternity leave. Shock

escapade1234 · 10/05/2019 14:14

I hardly think those pictures are from today.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 10/05/2019 14:16

Well this is why I am confused... Confused

escapade1234 · 10/05/2019 14:17

Where did you see the picture? It looks like an old one to me.

PinguDance · 10/05/2019 14:17

Says last November in the insta post. Love that coat.

QueenOfTheAndals · 10/05/2019 14:25

As usual, Charlotte from Mad about Meghan is on the case with lots of information about this initiative and video of Harry's trip to The Hague yesterday.

It seems the photos are from a private engagement last year.
