Does this dress look ok on me? (Pic included)

It's to wear for a wedding. I need it taken in and the skirt taken up a bit. Just worried it looks a bit too little girly/makes my hips look much bigger than they are.

I'm going to have to take it to pieces to make the adjustments so I'm now having cold feet and thinking I should just send it back and go for something a bit more fitted.

I'm early 30s, in case that makes a difference.

You look fantastic, absolutely beautiful dress and it fits you really well.

WhiskersPete · 01/05/2019 19:33

Lovely fit!

VictoriaBun · 01/05/2019 19:33

It looks lovely on you . Could you just not get a size smaller . ? I think the length is fine.

Chimchar · 01/05/2019 19:33

You look fantastic in that dress...it really suits you and fits beautifully!
Keep it! Thanks

Fairylea · 01/05/2019 19:33

Lovely!

LaurieFairyCake · 01/05/2019 19:34

It looks wonderful - I assume you're holding the fabric behind you ?

But frankly with your figure you'd look amazing in a bag of shite Grin

GinasGirl · 01/05/2019 19:34

I think I'd leave the length as it is, it looks nice!

Bluntness100 · 01/05/2019 19:34

Actually that's lovely on, you suit it.

thewreckofthehesperus · 01/05/2019 19:34

In no way shape or form do your hips look big. It's a lovely dress and you look summery and elegant.

HollowTalk · 01/05/2019 19:34

It's beautiful, but I'm really worried about that orange rash on your face Grin

BlueEyedPersephone · 01/05/2019 19:35

Length is perfect, it really suits you

Bluntness100 · 01/05/2019 19:35

I also think the length is perfect. Any shorter and it will be too girly.

You are one pair of nude heals away from perfect. Why take it up? I think shorter would make it girlier, it’s a very classy length.
As for the hips, I have absolutely no idea why you would think that 🤷🏼‍♀️

OldAndWornOut · 01/05/2019 19:35

You look beautiful in it, like a 50s film star. Smile

HappyGirl86 · 01/05/2019 19:35

It looks lovely!! You really suit it

Marlena1 · 01/05/2019 19:36

Your hips don't look big at all. I think it's lovely.

GlubGlubGlub · 01/05/2019 19:36

I think you look absolutely gorgeous.

hatemyhairhun · 01/05/2019 19:37

I think it’s pretty.

If anything, I would see if you can get the bottom of the dress altered so that the flare of the hem isn’t so wide in comparison to your legs.

I don’t think it makes your hips look wider per se. I wouldn’t have thought that the silhouette was the actual shape of your figure at all, as the dress is a bit bulky and tapers out so I know it’s just the shape of the dress. Your hip area under the waistband looks normal.

Aimily · 01/05/2019 19:39

That is so pretty!!! I agree the length is perfect, can you not just order a smaller size to save having to take it in?

honeylou42 · 01/05/2019 19:42

It looks stunning Smile

ShopoholicIn · 01/05/2019 19:42

The dress looks lovely on you n the length is just right.

HollowTalk very funnyGrin

AdaColeman · 01/05/2019 19:43

Are you holding the top in behind your back so the dress fits better?
If not, then the fit seems lovely, and I'd keep the length as it is, very elegant, yet still light and summery.

Still18atheart · 01/05/2019 19:43

You look great. Have a fab time at the wedding in that gorgeous dress

ThePerturbedPenguin · 01/05/2019 19:43
