Bras for bigger breasts (32F) & sports bra

AliceRR · 27/04/2019 14:27

I’m now apparently a 32F following having my first child in February

Maybe they’ll shrink a bit more (I was a 32DD before) but I need bras to fit. I got a nice one form Debenhams. Couldn’t find anything nice in M&S.

Any recommendations for nice bras that support a larger breast? I seem to like the balcony / full cup (non padded) style after they were recommended by the lady in Debenhams (I used to go for padded t shirt style)

Also decent sports bra for bigger boobs. I couldn’t the shock absorber ones in my size on!

Thanks

Bravissimo - 100%
They are great with bigger boobs

Holidayshopping · 27/04/2019 14:37

Definitely Bravissimo-go and get fitted properly as well, as the sales folk (certainly in the ones in Cardiff!) are superb.

Bravissimo - 100%

Thanks, will have look at theirs

Have you been to a Bravissimo shop or to a department store?

A bravissimo shop-there are quite a few across the country. Worth travelling to!!

AliceRR · 27/04/2019 15:01

I just googled and there is a Bravissimo near me

I didn’t realise they existed, knew the brand but thought they were just sold in Debenhams and the like and online

Thank you 😃

For sports bras I find Freya are by the best. I am a similar size to you and no movement when running!

AliceRR · 27/04/2019 15:05

Thanks I will look at Freya

I got a couple of sports bras in M&S, two of their own bras and about £30 for two which was good. It was all they had that fit but they are ok. Not sure if they’d be quite right for running etc but they’re pretty supportive

Definitely go to a bravissimo. It'll change your life. Well, sort of!

I was fitted by Bravissimo with this for my 32Gs

AliceRR · 27/04/2019 17:14

That’s nice @SpeckledyHen

There's a brand called Syrokan who do a sports bra that is almost identical to Moving Comfort/Brooks Juno... and it's under £20. I wore them whilst breastfeeding and training for a marathon and thought they were great.

KinkyFink · 27/04/2019 17:43

I'm a 32E and I bought one of these and then 4 more - I like that you can have a racer back and nothing moves!

If you are sure of your size you can order brands like Freya, Panache and Curvy Kate online from Brastop for a fraction of the price. I'm 32FF and haven't paid more then £15 for a new for years.

AliceRR · 27/04/2019 21:08

Thanks I’ll have a look

I was measured in Debenhams this week but wouldn’t say I’m 100% sure if size and presumably brands differ in size

M&S are shit for large bust/small back bras (I'm 30FF).

Freya are my absolute go-to, I find the sizing across their styles reliable so can order online.

I find any stitching on non-padded cups very irritating, so I tend to stick with lightly padded ranges (I have about 6 Deco bras) personally.

AliceRR · 28/04/2019 20:28

Thanks @AwkwardPaws27 Sounds like you are similar sizing to me.

Panache non wired sports bra is the business. It is sometimes worth going for a slightly higher back size.

florence11 · 28/04/2019 21:17

Freya for normal Bras and shock absorber for running, got mine from Next

dementedpixie · 28/04/2019 21:18

I like panache ultimate underwired- 36GG

AliceRR · 28/04/2019 21:19

So Bravissimo, Freya, Panache

The shock absorber I tried in Debenhams wouldn’t even do up on me, same with a more robust sports bra in M&S but the cheaper two for £29.50(?) fit ok and actually feel quite supportive

Will maybe try a 34F 🤔

OP posts:
dementedpixie · 28/04/2019 21:35

Think shock absorbers run small in the back

Merename · 28/04/2019 21:45

Also hotmilk if you are breastfeeding.
