@evilharpy my boy has light eyes, only relative i have with them, spin out when they’re so different to you isn’t it. No way he looks half Italian like me so you never know.

I feel sorry for Meghan and can relate to her family struggles. I have very little family due to tragic circumstance and dysfunctional family so I can really relate. Instead of being applauded for making it on her own despite her family, people judge her. I can relate absolutely as my in-laws so judgmental of me. I don’t doubt she’s a diva but doesn’t deserve all this. She isolates herself because of trust issues, I think there’s far more to the story. I also think behind the scenes the RF are very cliquey and have cliques within their family clique and a pecking order that isn’t necessarily by succession line. I also think that although Kate is a lovely person, I don’t think you could marry an heir and be that beautiful and privileged without being a bit aloof. I noticed during a walkabout that she was talking to a very attractive mummy blogger and her facial expressions were just as you would expect. She seemed different and their body language was the same as any two very attractive women with mutual admiration. I don’t think Kate is necessarily less ambitious than Meghan, she’s just more subtle and has a different goal - being the traditional, respected, perfect wife and mother that pleases husband and family and people pleaser.

Apologies meant to click new post but forgot to go back off the post I was reading so ended up posting on this one . Sorry ! Don't no how to delete it !

GrumbleBumble · 23/04/2019 16:01

Queen I've definitely heard a rumour that the Queen rejected Anne's first choice for Zara so Anne went totally off-piste an plumped for Zara as a reaction but how would we ever actually know?

I think W&K are restricted but further from succession I doubt they would be (Zara & Mike have chosen non royal names).

Humpy84 · 23/04/2019 16:02

Yeh she’s totally had veneers but so has Kate, she went for a more subtle look. I’m pretty sure every celebrity in USA has had veneers, it’s like hair dye to them. Same as the rhinoplasty, Scarlett Johanssen, Gwyneth Paltrow, everyone has had one, I even suspect Danish Princess Mary has had some work done looking at earlier photos. The Us actresses look so symmetrical and have that perfect American look because they get work done. If you look at Uk actresses they don’t have that look and have more charisma.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 23/04/2019 16:05

Not sure about hoovering but the Queen has been known to do the odd bit of washing up at Balmoral.
(when staff have been told to make themselves disappear & the family want private time.)
Anne certainly mucks in, in the kitchen according to Zara.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 23/04/2019 16:14

I can imagine Anne hoovering and washing up. I shouldn’t think there is much she doesn’t do. She’s amazing. Always working hard.

queenofarles · 23/04/2019 16:17

What if they chose something very old like Georgiana , Henrietta , Lavinia Or Theodora ?
Love these names.

But hope they don’t jump on the daft foreign food and place name band wagon and name their child Celerie, cannelle or Colmar.

BigGlasses · 23/04/2019 16:27

The queens great grandchildren are:

Savannah Anne Kathleen Phillips
Isla Elizabeth Phillips
George Alexander Louis Cambridge
Mia Tindall
Charlotte Elizabeth Diana Cambridge
Louis Arthur Charles Cambridge
Lena Tindall

And the youngest granchildren are
Louise Alice Elizabeth Mary Mountbatten-Windsor
James Alexander Philip Theo Mountbatten-Windsor

Interesting that Zara and Mike along with chosing less traditional names also left out any middle names. I think Harry and Meghan might do something similar.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 23/04/2019 16:27

I do wonder what Baby Sussex will look like and I hope it doesn't take after Harry. I did a jigsaw years ago (oh the glamour!) of the Royal Family and his face was a massive part of it so got to see it very close up, and he just reminded me of a pig - he was all pink and hairy. I honestly don't know what people see in him.

To the pp who suggested Eleanor - that is a beautiful name, and a Royal one to boot. I wonder if the Queen still has veto on the name? She vetoed one of the York children's names I recall.

The pregnancy announcement / Eugenie wedding debate - she arrived in what looked to the world to be a maternity coat. Even if they didn't announce it at the wedding, as soon as they stepped out of the car it was obvious that she was pregnant.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 23/04/2019 16:33

Just to be clear, I'm not saying Meghan has had a boob job! (Although I think she probably has, certainly from the Suitcase Girl photos). It was a lighthearted comment. I don't care one way or the other, she still looks pretty amazing.

Connieston · 23/04/2019 16:36

Twin girls, one will be Doria the other Diana, possibly with trad middle names like Elizabeth and Victoria. I predict healthy weights around the 7lb mark.

Mintandthyme · 23/04/2019 16:37

Interesting that Zara and Mike along with chosing less traditional names also left out any middle names.

Mia is Mia Grace
Lena is Lena Elizabeth

Connieston · 23/04/2019 16:37

Yes, yes I do lack imagination 😹😹😹

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 23/04/2019 16:38

Zara was quite a surprising name choice in its day, especially after a Peter. It was the first non traditional sounding royal name that I can remember.

Petalflowers · 23/04/2019 16:50

My - I agree. Zara was unusual, even in non-royal circles.

Japonicaflower2 · 23/04/2019 16:57

William and Kate have two sons named Louis.
It does seem to indicate a singular lack of imagination I feel. I guess Lord Mountbatten was the inspiration?
I have never heard of anyone else reusing a Christian name.

Humpy84 · 23/04/2019 16:57

@ Connieston 😂 you never know

Just been reading the latest on Lainey Gossip about the Harry Africa
saga. The woman knows how to take gossip to next level and analysis.

brizzlemint · 23/04/2019 16:57

Apropos of nothing much, I saw an 11 or 12 year old Peter today. At least I assume he is 11/12 as he had a 2018 leaver's hoodie on.

SenecaFalls · 23/04/2019 16:57

To the pp who suggested Eleanor - that is a beautiful name, and a Royal one to boot.

Also Eleanor Roosevelt, a strong woman who did quite a bit of good in the world.

Zara was Charles's suggestion, I believe. I think I heard Zara say that in an interview.

StCharlotte · 23/04/2019 17:07

“William and Kate have two sons named Louis.”

I know someone who has [First Name] Bryonee and then a Briony [Middle Name] (it isn't actually that name, but similar and one version with a very twee spelling).

I'd love to know how that came about.

catofaragon · 23/04/2019 17:23

I know someone who called their 2 sons (have changed the names)

Andrew Peter
Peter Andrew

I've always found it so strange......

I also have a feeling that Meghan will have a girl. Maybe Elizabeth but perhaps something more unusual.

I can imagine she or he will be a very attractive looking child. I'm not a big Meghan fan but I think she is stunningly pretty.

QueenOfTheAndals · 23/04/2019 17:36

Aren't Earl Spencer's daughters Kitty and Katya? So basically derivations of the same name.

OP posts:
SlipperOrchid · 23/04/2019 17:47

I remember reading somewhere or perhaps watching an interview with Zara Philips or Anne and they said that Charles had been the one to suggest Zara and they liked it enough to use it!

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 23/04/2019 18:02

Earl Spencer's children are Kitty, Eliza, Katya Amelia (known as Amelia) Louis, Edmund, Lara & Charlotte.
