New Sussex insta posts tonight, so I am thinking there's no baby yet. Gee, it does feel like a very, very long pregnancy (as PP said, somewhat like my own )

I grew up with the QM being regarded as a benign and rather sweet old lady. She was often portrayed somewhat comically as a confused old dear with a penchant for gin. Very far from the truth. (Except maybe the gin )

Especially Dubonnet & Gin. When we visited The Royal Yacht Britannia we were told this. There is also a bar for the staff/sailors on Britannia that apparently Phillip used to visit occasionally.

Decommissioning the Royal Yacht was such a mean thing to do. I know it was very expensive to run but I can't believe they could have found a way to make it pay. I think after all her service the Queen has earned that perk. I could have cried for her.

I think it paid it's way in terms of commerce, but needed a lot of money spending on it, to bring back up to standard. And the Govt. at the time couldn't justify (or wouldn't justify) commissioning a new ship.

It must have been a very nice 'perk' for the Royals - one where you could truly get away from everything.

It did look very dated. Especially the bathrooms, they looked a bit institutional, made me shudder!
Anyway in the gift shop the woman behind the counter was a Kate lookalike. I mentioned it & she said everyone tells me that! Good marketing eh?

I always had an aversion to the Queen Mum, no reason just a feeling of her not actually being that nice. The Queen though, I think she's fab, I get the impression she would be a fun person for an afternoon tea/Pimms if she was off duty.

I’m guessing flower is Rose so if the other rumours are true, W&K need to eat humble pie for putting the blame on Meghan? Which I imagine doesn’t come easily to them.....

If Blind Gossip were right, which it almost certainly isn't , Kate and Harry (Starchy and Rooster) clearly get on very well. What a load of rubbish. There is also no sign of tension between Kate and William, absolutely none.

I’ve never noticed signs of tension between David and Victoria Beckham either in fairness.

But agree Blind Gossip is rubbish. Hopefully it is all rubbish!

Hopefully it's rubbish nasty malicious gossip perhaps started by folk putting 2 & 2 together & getting 5.5. Possibly just flirting/mild crush or completely mortifying drunken snog or even drunken passing out on the sofa together, or nothing to do with William but some other couple.
Apparently at one of my workplaces I was having a mad passionate affair with one of my bosses according to a couple of colleagues. All we did was get on well & have daft mildly flirtatious banter & go for a drink occasionally (most of the time with other colleagues) nothing ever untoward happened. I was/am married & my boss got on well with DH. Rumour started by a vicious female colleague who was jealous as he'd knocked her back.
Going back to William could the Shakespearean sweet smelling flower be a woman turned down?

Anyway we need more dresses!
