@curlywurlytwirly he’s got a great sihlouette , I remember Karl Lagerfield saying that Kate was the perfects looking woman for him, in reference to their heights and physiques.

I must get into the fashion chat more, I grew up with a parents and grandparents that were evening wear retailers and its half of what they discussed over dinner ~ frocks, chiffon, fashion trends overseas etc.

Have we heard anything about the other (minor) royal wedding next month (Prince Michael of Kent’s daughter)? I wonder if the queen or W&K will go.

I doubt H&M will go as they’ll be cocooned indoors with the baby, but she was at their wedding last year.

Have to admit it’s a great show of solidarity as a half Aussie_New Zealander to have WIll fly down. Very sweet to see him engage with the little girl in coma.

@RaymondReddington There's a poster on these threads whose parents have been invited to that wedding (groom is a distant cousin IIRC) so maybe she'll be able to fill us in!

I like these threads the way they are, and see no need for a separate thread. These are called 'Royal Style and Gossip' after all.

Pure gossip threads often descend into nastiness I've found. On here there's usually measured discussion about gossip but I rarely see anyone being mean or spiteful. Generally also posters are pretty respectful of each other and differing views.

The fashion is great but I think these threads would have died a death long ago without veering off from fashion. There's gossip, but there's also a lot of genuinely interesting history and information given and it's great!

Did HM attend Freddie W's and the Gloucester girls' weddings? She may well show at this one given it's just on her doorstep! If not then I assume Edward and Sophie will go. They're usually the ones who get trotted out for weddings.

News just in is that Harry will join Kate for today's Anzac service. Apparently his name wasn't printed in the service booklet in case baby arrived. But I guess that means that he/she is still taking their time to get here!

Thanks queen! It will be interesting to see what Kate wears today as the weather is so mixed. I can’t even decide whether to hang out the washing let alone wonder what type of coat I’m going to be photographed in when I go to Tesco.

Think Kate will opt for something black and white as a nod to NZ. I do like the thought and sentiment behind her style choices. It reflects her serious and deep nature.

Though sometimes I think she also has a sense of humour about it - like when she visited Prince Edward Island and dressed like Anne of Green Gables!

Just thought I’d break the silence with my favourite Princess Mary gowns of all time. I love her as she’s an everyday Aussie girl that married The Danish version of WIlliam. Funny as she could be Kate’s long lost older sister.

These dresses literally make me swoon as much today as when I first saw them years ago. I took the second one to dressmaker when getting my wedding dress made in 2014. Obviously didn’t go for purple.

That red dress is gorgeous on Mary and with the headdress she looks like Anne Boleyn. She does look like Kate's older sister, as does her SiL Princess Marie!

I think Kate looks nice today, not sure about the shoes with the coat but otherwise lovely!

Nice colour on her. She looks very Kate is about all I can say! Nothing that'll set the world on fire but nicely judged and appropriate for the occasion. Though clearly I'm disillusioned by the press as another thing that came to mind was that if Meghan wore that then the Mail would be asking why she wasn't in black!

I like the dress coat, that’s a good colour on her. I thought she’d be in black or navy too. Like Harry in a navy suit, haven’t seen any pictures to see if it’s got an interesting lining yet. I reckon Meghan is in pjs today
