Will Kate emerge from her Norfolk seclusion sporting a bigger than ever Alice band? Will the Mail and Express stories about Meghan get more ludicrous by the day? And will this thread see the arrival of Baby Sussex? All will be revealed in due course...

I find that very hard to believe Queen to be honest. I mean in this day and age there would be every likelihood someone would film that on their phone.

But it fits a lot of people's narrative about evil Kate I guess.

brizzlemint · 20/04/2019 18:29

Giving her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she had early pregnancy morning sickness?

BertrandRussell · 20/04/2019 18:33

That really is bollocks. She would know she’s being watched all the time and the kids would go straight home and tell their parents-she’s not stupid!

QueenOfTheAndals · 20/04/2019 18:35

@brizzlemint This was a couple of months ago, so she wasn't pregnant.

@mrscampbellblackagain my friend did film it but I've not seen her to check it out myself.

I don't think it makes her evil or fake or anything like that, just a fairly normal person!

“I don't think it makes her evil or fake or anything like that, just a fairly normal person!”
Well, it makes her a fairly normal person who’s crap at her job!

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 20/04/2019 19:12

It's possible she was on a tight schedule Queen and there wasn't time for a walkabout. Or security issues maybe. A shame for the children though.

mrscampbellblackagain · 20/04/2019 19:12

If it is true which I doubt.

QueenOfTheAndals · 20/04/2019 19:16

I'm seeing this particular friend next month so will demand to see the footage and then report back! As you say @Myimaginarycathasfleas she may have been on a tight schedule and rushed inside where she did do stuff with the kids.

The Mary/Marie/Kate lookalike chronicles have taken a twist as Mary is pictured <a class="break-all" href="http://go.mumsnet.com/?xs=1&id=470X1554755&url=www.newmyroyals.com/2019/04/a-new-photo-of-crown-princess-mary-of.html" target="_blank">wearing the Issa dress Kate wore for her engagement interview!

Single White Female territory!!

RosinaAlmaviva · 21/04/2019 00:48

Charles would definitely be missionary and mumble.

I seem to remember Diana was reported as saying he was roll on/roll off, like a ferry. Camilla was full of praise for his sexual prowess in the infamous Tampax conversation though, so could be horses for courses.

I was wondering would you wear a bag that had an accessory/ way of matching it to your Alice band or would that be too matchy matchy ?

I like tying scarves to my bags as they're a good way of pulling an outfit together, so I might match one to an Alice band, or a scrunchie now they're finally back. E.g., tan bag, tan and black leopard print scarf, black accessory. The matchy-matchy is strong with me though so it won't be for everyone. Grin

Mummylovesbags · 21/04/2019 03:08

@RosinaAlmaviva lol well there you have it about Charles Grin that’s great reporting and memory. I agree about matchy matchy - it is a bit 1990’s to match things but i think that’s making a comeback and very polished and regal.

Mummylovesbags · 21/04/2019 03:09

Well I see that Meghan and Harry are in the need again. It was front page news of the Sunday Times which I believe is fairly credible. Daily Mail also reported on ST report....

Apparently plans being drawn up for Harry and Meghan to spend three years away, possibly in Botswana Shock

Mummylovesbags · 21/04/2019 03:10

Need = news. Sorry using my phone at moment and am not proficient tester.

IdaBWells · 21/04/2019 03:39

They are apparently going to be allowed time at home first with the baby, this would happen next year. What if they refused to go?

Mummylovesbags · 21/04/2019 04:06

@IdaBWells exactly this what I was thinking too, surely it is their choice.

On one hand they would be close to Harry’s animal and environmental causes. They would also be able to shed light on the causes by getting down and dirty. On the other hand, there is more money in UK and US to fundraisers for these causes. Their child would be almost 4 by the end of their placement so would have to attend school there. It’s a lot of travel for Doria and upheaval. Meghan is very social and what about Easter and Christmas alone in Africa ?

I know it was published in credible paper, Sunday Times but I find this hard to believe. The feud can’t be so big that William wants his future niece or nephew and brother in distant country.

I think it’s more likely that they will have a post in US or Canada. The article said it’s not practical for them to be governors in those countries but can’t they just invent some modern title, like queens ambassadors or something ?

This is so fascinating, I could go on forever, apologies for the waffle !

Mummylovesbags · 21/04/2019 04:18

I think the men in grey coats run the show. Their office is run at Buckingham because they didn’t want Meghan and Harry to have too much control over media.

Even with their private wealth M&H could not afford the staff and PR and travel required to run their private household.
Added to this, most of the photographs of M&H are at charitable engagements and the regal photos are at events invited by the Queen. There is also the Queen’s lawyers involved if stories get out of hand and government and media contacts that the Queens office would have. If they release Cambridge stories at the right time or other royal stories, that can take the heat of negative press of H&M. I think the negative stories of Meghan are just a fraction of what’s really going on. It’s a mud slinging match and if the royals let them loose more will come out !

queenofarles · 21/04/2019 05:32

Do you think someone just went “why don’t we send them packing to Africa! they love it there”.

Actually I’d rather live somewhere like Kenya or South Africa than go live in Canada.

And If they were really committed to their causes , then it’s the perfect post for them.

QueenOfTheAndals · 21/04/2019 06:38

The Sun reports that Doria has cancelled the yoga class she usually teaches this week and someone else has been photographed walking her dogs, so unless she's taken ill this may mean she's in the U.K. or on her way here.

What in earth would they Do in Botswana? Is the Queen trying to get them out of the way, or are they desperate to escape?
Meghan doesn’t have a private fortune. She was an actress for a bit, I doubt very much she is hugely rich. Why should the tax payer pick up the tab for them to live in Africa living essentially private lives?

QueenOfTheAndals · 21/04/2019 06:51

Article from The Times. I know it's a more credible source than the tabloids but I still find it a bit hard to believe. Who knows if HM will even still be around in 2020? At her age a lot can happen in a year.

Well whatever happens, it would seem that the establishment is tiring of her. It could all be lies OR it could be smoke where there is ALOT of fire. My guess is...

Now that her office has moved to buckingham palace instead of KP, it’s an even worst situation. The Queen and her associates who are steeped in tradition and top of the tree are seeing first hand how much of a struggle it is to reign her in.

Yes I agree much could happen if the Queen moves on but let’s not forget her staff who will hold the same values and traditions. I think Charles in his desperation to be the next monarch will do whatever he has to to win public favour and fill the Queens shoes. I don’t see anyone getting in the way of that.
