I think the KP announcement is a direct message to Thomas Markle not to camp out with the general public waiting for news of his grandchild and to take in the pay-per-interview money.

My view is Taft I think they are all déclassé parasites and I will be delighted when the tumbril carries them all off to Tower Hill. But until that glorious time arrives, I want frocks and babies and scandals and gossip like a proper Royal Family!

I am eating Fortnum & Mason Sandringham Coffee Truffles, because if Meghan likes them (and she does) they're good enough for me (and they are. Prefer the milk ones to the dark ones).

All the Baby Sussex kerfuffle seems to amount to is that Meghan will wait up to 3 days to do the photocall instead of making an appearance within hours of the birth. Seems reasonable to me.

Meanwhile, Republic want to re-nationalise the Duchy of Cornwall.

It’s a DM article but it’s very sympathetic to her.
Tessy sounds awesome and her ex and his family sounds like a loathsome waste of space.

Tessy is considering an appeal. She just wanted a lump sum to buy a house and a car.
She’s paid £8,000 pa. as his family’s huge wealth is being ignored.

£8000 a year is very stingy considering her ex is royal

Teddy wanted a £1.5 million lump sum. Which sounds like a lot but, considering Louis' family's wealth and that she lives in London, it's a fairly reasonable amount. Hell, where I live that would just get you a 3 bed flat!

I'm with SenecaFalls on this. Royal baby or not everyone deserves a few days to used to being parents before going public if they want it. Children, even royal children, deserve far more privacy growing up than William and Harry had, no matter where they get their income from we are not owed news or pictures.

If she's living in London then presumably she has her own funds or got a bigger lump sum? I can't imagine her living in a grotty bedsit somewhere.

I think she has been given the London home until the children leave uni/are 18 or something. And stripped of all titles. It's extremely draconian. Especially when you consider what happened to Princess Alex of Denmark.

There was an interesting comment on Tessy's IG a few days ago along the lines of her being uninvited from a global women's event because the organisers were worried about the reaction from her ex mother in law. Implication being she was the driving force behind the way Tessy has been treated. Sounds like she's best off out of it to me.

I think she’s just renting. She runs a non profit organisation, Teachers without Frontiers and doesn’t draw a salary. She met her ex when she was peace keeping aged 18 in Kosovo.
Apparently the Grand Duke was not happy that his eldest grandchild was “born out of wedlock”.
I think it’s disgraceful that her ex hid behind his title and family money ( which must have paid more for his legal representation than he pays for his own kids in a year).
