Laska you really suit the Moritz jeans, I prefer with the trainers which are a fab colour, am 😳 at nine miles crikey well done.
never fab fab jacket, but does look a bit big on the shoulders I think.
cherries looking good I always wear a scarf with my bikers, think it sorts of finishes the outfit off iykwim.
Granny thanks I might give it whirl when I come off the no spend bench.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/04/2019 15:37

I like you in the black one! You suit it @cherries. Has that given you confidence with the hush one?
Thanks for the positive feedback. I agree with you about the durability of suede. Maybe its just better to get a faux suede one!

dontcallmelen · 13/04/2019 15:39

never good idea with the faux suede, lots of those about as well at the moment, I would be afraid of damaging a real suede to easily I’m a messy so n so though.

SoyYo · 13/04/2019 18:25

Hello lovelies, I’ve been out with an old girlfriend in a nearby market town, it was great to catch up and a lovely day out browsing, coffee and lots of chat!

@never I do think the suede is stunning but yes it’s too big on the shoulders...for the investment it needs to fit perfectly and you should try a 12. Unless you’ve decided a fake suede one is best for you...I agree suede is quite fragile so understand if you’re wavering (says she who owns 3 suede bikers! But if I’m honest they get half the wear of my leather bikers)

@cherries you look stunning in that black leather jacket, you seee?Wink how utterly fabulous they are now? I’d nick your DD’s one AND keep the Hush one too.

@laska I love the wide legs on you too, not at all bay city rollers on you because you’ve the long legs to carry it off. And well done on the bike ride! Go you! (Btw I faced the scales this morning and I’m angry with myself I need to lose a whole stone! 😤)

@granny great haul!

@justi great to read you and to know you had a good work week, and that the weather is cooling down a bit
@len hope dgd is a little angel for you

My back hurts a little after my gentle walk all afternoon but here’s hoping I’ll be mended soon as I have another Paris trip next week so planning on pottering at home for the rest of the weekend. DH has Led Zep on loud right now “Fool in the Rain” one of my favourite tracks so best go dance with him round the sitting room now

neveradullmoment99 · 13/04/2019 19:08

Yes, @soyo, its already wrapped in the bag to be posted back on Monday. Its a shame but I do think it needs to be perfect for the price. So I may look for a 12 or i may just leave it. I have my other one anyway, which I love so don't 'need' it. It was more of an opportunity. So, back to the jumper and whether to post that back too!!! I will consider it tomorrow.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/04/2019 19:11

Hope your back gets better soon :)

Laska2Meryls · 13/04/2019 19:12

Whats for dinner? DH picked up some lovely big pork chops from our local butchers this morning , and is makig bubble and squeak ( which i have just cooked the veg earlier veg ) with carrotsand onion and mustardy gravy .. LeYum.. ( not very conducive for weight loss though..)

He has also just handed me a Negroni ( and tonic) ..

I have been feeling really down and a bit tearful all day though ..no real reason I can put my finger on.. just one of those down days I suppose...But It has been a crap few months , as you know, so I suppose thats how it goes ..

legs dont ache too much! (that will probably be tomorrow) but I can feel muscles Id forgotten I have!

Laska2Meryls · 13/04/2019 19:30

..Would I be really stupid to keep the Moritz jeans that fit me now, and the smaller ones?.. I'm also a stone (and a bit) heavier than last summer , and the smaller ones are not that small, I could be in them in a month or two ..

I have been losing weight slowly , but am starting the Fast 800 properly on Monday again, I do need structure and have done it previously and it does work , ( and It means i can eat some carbs..) I think I'll even sign up to the £99 guided programme.. I think that i need to do something positive for me.

(I also haven't yet decided finally about the exercise bike. I mean, I do have a bike, dont I?)

ilovecherries · 13/04/2019 19:34

Oh, big hug, laska.

dontcallmelen · 13/04/2019 19:56

Aww Laska big hug from me too, it’s early days yet I always think sometimes it can be a good thing to have a few tears, gets it out iykwim, I have been feeling a bit low last few days as well it will be my DF anniversary on Monday & sometimes my heart aches even now, so don’t be too hard on yourself💐
We had beef stir fry with Soy & chilli sauce, was lovely.
I don’t think it would be daft to keep both, they are fab on you.

Soy hoping the back improves, definitely just potter about this weekend, dgd had her bath & now fast asleep hopefully she will stay asleep 🙏🏻
never shame about the jacket, yy has to be totally perfect for that price.

dontcallmelen · 13/04/2019 19:58

@FuzzyPuffling hope you are both ok💐

Ellapaella · 13/04/2019 19:59

@Laska2Meryls you could keep both as I'm sure you'd be able to sell the bigger pair on eBay - I expect they'll get snapped up!
DH is out with his mates tonight - just about to put DC to bed then I'm going to pack for our Holy Island trip and make myself some dinner - I'm making mustard Marsala chicken, a very tasty recipe that I made up myself 😋 to be enjoyed with a glass of wine and catching up with Line Of Duty.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 13/04/2019 20:04

Oh @Laska, why don't you just keep the smaller ones and make it your goal to fit them? I think keeping both is really not worth it. Sorry you are feeling so shit Flowers Enjoy your dinner with zero guilt.[ and wine]

Laska2Meryls · 13/04/2019 22:05

I may never get that thin, though, never

Laska2Meryls · 13/04/2019 22:11

Its a gamble keeping both , ..will they sell out ? If they end up in the sale I will have lost out big time, but if they dont, I will also have lost out..and if I keep them and eventually sell on ebay , would I get anything worth having ?

FFS! I dont know!!!... if only I was rich and didn't need to worry about ££ ... and if only I could be thin and stay thin for more than 5 mins at a time..

neveradullmoment99 · 13/04/2019 22:31

Well i am the same. I may lose weight but then i may also put it back on. I would keep the 12. Wear them now. Unless they are really loose on you already.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/04/2019 22:38

I mean its the same with everything i have bought. One thing is for sure, there will always be nice things to buy. I would keep the 12's and not think too much about it. If they are very loose that only a few pounds will make the difference to fitting in the 10, then send the 12's back.
If you keep them both its very expensive - like about £140. Its up to you. If you can afford to keep both and you really really like them that you will wear them to death, thats fine.

ilovecherries · 13/04/2019 22:46

Hmm, it’s a tricky one. I guess my view is not to buy things that aren’t perfect right now, and I could or would wear tomorrow. The exception might be something amazing like a coat or boots that I might buy off-season - but even then I’d be wary as by the time the appropriate season came round, they would no longer feel like new as I would have seen them every day. So I would probably buy the jeans that fitted well now, and wear them to death, then either let them go, or be happy to wear them a bit loose with a belt, a bit lower on my hips.

justilou1 · 14/04/2019 00:50

Oh @Laska, it sucks being a woman, doesn’t it? In the three weeks of prac, my intermittent fasting diet went totally out the window and I managed to put on five kilos despite being über careful about what I ate and drank. (Dead thyroid helps nothing at all as well!) Back on that especially boring bus as soon as I have been veggie shopping later today. So mad at myself!

Laska2Meryls · 14/04/2019 07:45

Ah yes you are all wise as usual! i have been guilty before of buying clothes that are just to small, for the mythical day I am thin...... I shall send the 10s back..

JustLou and yes it certainly does suck! , that's about the amount I put on in about the same time visiting my DM in hospital and just after she died, what with sitting around eating sandwiches etc..(perhaps its something about hospitals?) and a bit more dues to coming home and opening the Wine and making and eating lunches etc for/with my DF in the weeks after . ..

All my careful diet and weightloss has gone straight out of the window, so I have to have a good kick up the bum now.. I am booked for on a Greek beach in June ...Hmm

SoyYo · 14/04/2019 08:12

Morning laska keep the 12, return the 10.
I’m totally with you, I never had weight problems till the menopause and so it’s difficult to keep at a diet for life which seems to be the only way to keep weight down these days...😢 I eat healthily anyway but by eating “healthily” and having a glass of wine or a G&T 4 Times a week (FFS I’m not downing bottles!) I’ve managed to put on a whole bloody stone.
It’s bollocks getting older and I’m not someone who’s ever obsessed about weight or looks.
I’m just frightened of piling another half a stone on so let’s give each other the motivation.
I will miss bread (I only eat 2/3 slices of whole meal a day as it is) and olives and my glass of Malbec 😩 but I know It Must Be Done...

SoyYo · 14/04/2019 08:17

Oh and Olive Oil on my healthy salads, and drizzled on crusty rustic bread (occasionally).
I’ll have to go back to that pants Hellmans fat free dressing...
Life is unfair. Olive oil is supposed to be healthy!
I can’t give up carbs altogether though, it makes me thoroughly misserable. So will still eat pulses, a bit of brown rice or new potatoes.

Maybe we are “meant” to be slightly overweight as we get old? (Says she hopefully Wink)

Laska2Meryls · 14/04/2019 08:27

Olives are ok Soy! have a look at the 800 blood sugar diet.. although Low carb did work for me , I could never stick to it ultimately ,

The BSD works pretty well with how I like to eat anyway , coupled with intermittent fasting, and although giving up wine is best for at initial 8 weeks , I did find that after wards you could have a weekend couple and it didnt make that much difference. Also it was maintainable, as long as you do keep off the bread .. it is pretty low carb, but not as much as the diet cherries followed ..

I just fell back into both carbs and alcohol.. and here I am, Mrs Blobby..Sad

Im going to get out the bike again later and test out how my legs and saddle bum' are doing.... if ok i may go down the railway track again!

Laska2Meryls · 14/04/2019 08:30

and olive oil!! Dont do low fat , its rubbish...look at the fast800 website ,

Im thinking of signing up !

Laska2Meryls · 14/04/2019 08:34

or buy the 8week blood sugar diet book, thats what i did before, and did it for free using this forum, but this time i think i may just sign up to the new version with the online support ( in the previous link) . I really do need to change my eating ways for good..
