soy - I really feel for you and your back...glad it is slowly recovering, but its awful having to work in pain like that. I don't know exactly what it is that has gone wrong - whether your spine itself, or the muscles around it from bending - but I was in absolute agony last year from "twanging" something while twisting and coughing at the same time (I know
- I really shouldn't damage myself through coughing fgs). It was awful - I was
from the pain, which paracetamol/ cocodamol etc wasn't touching. I ended up going to the GP asking for painkillers to knock out a horse... and he said to try that muscle rub stuff for sporting injuries (voltarol or something). I was
as it felt to "deep" for that, and was by no means a sporting injury - but, my goodness, it was magic - the pain went almost immediately. I'm sure you've tried every painkiller going - but that was what worked for me!
I really hope your DS gets the passport sorted - what a pain, but yy - what a plonker... Definitely a life lesson there...
lego - I tried the cropped jumpsuit in the tiger print. I loved the style, but i thought the fabric was weird...a bit shiny. (the other colours may be different fabric, though?) Also, the v-thing at the back was too deep and flappy for me, and showed my bra - though that would be fixable with a cami or something. Though I didn't love it enough to try... Sizing wise I went for my "normal" high street size and it was fine, though on the larger side. As I'm a pear shape I found the top really too big (though that is always the case...), and I could maybe have got away with a size down even for the bottoms, even allowing for shrinkage. But I may well be a really weird shape
Though on the jumpsuit front, I did find a lovely linen one from toast on eBay a while back (was it never asking?). I took a (v risky!) punt having tried a few actual ones in JL - and it is freaking lovely... will be just right for summer. It is actually a "small", though as with hush, that isn't an "actual" small... Its probably a few seasons old, but the style doesn't seem to have changed. So its a thumbs up from me...
laska - that dress with the hat looks amazing. Really chic. is it like straw? (i.e. could it cope with a freak scottish shower on an otherwise lovely sunny day?). I need to work on my hat game - I love them, and think I can suit them- but always "forget".
soups - hope you find your holy jeans grail. I have to say I took laska's Gap straight recommendation too ages ago, and they are brill!
never - that camo shirt looks amazing. I also remember you saying right at the beginning of the launch that you loved that red pointelle jumper, so I hope you've got for it "to see"! It is cotton I think, so might be OK for a Scottish summer (with a vest underneath!). And the sandals are lovely too.
gin I feel you with the pink boot love. I had the same search when they were launched (its the combo of the shape and colour that is so special), but i couldn't find anything even remotely similar. (Though the shape of the Daniel ones is pretty good!). I told myself not to be so stupid and they would almost certainly be horribly uncomfortable and impractical, and I'd forgotten about them until you mentioned them again!! So yes, I'll fight you for them if they go in the sale
.
Though I noticed the puss in boots boots that were so popular here are in the sale
. For the bargainous price of £150. Who'd have thought... (I still don't hate them - but still not tempted, until they are, maybe £15).
I'm loving everyone's buys, and looking forward to seeing the sale stuff! (I'm still not buying, but, hey, it's nearly Easter..
so always up for a few reviews, though nothing is really shouting at me at the moment). And sorry the jackets weren't good for len, cherries and soy
. But hope the blush one works for you cherries.
