I like the carly jumpsuit but there are way too many fussy openings for me. The wrap part at the front and the back. I wouldn't have minded had they just done one or the other. It is very pretty. I just would feel a bit exposed.

Laska2Meryls · 11/04/2019 16:25

So the Chino shorts and star T are nowwinging their way back... I just sashayed down to the Post office in my navy Chamonix crops the Brigitte jumper (thats currently back in the sale) the gingerChester suede trainers from the last sale and my Panama!! ,
@#HusistaMax !! Grin.

I am going to put myself on the waitlist for the smaller chino shorts ,- despite the cost - when we get another 10%, as they are nice., and I intend to be a lot smaller by then anyway .. ( but I bet they will also be in the sale, and that usually happens when I am on holiday)

legoqueen · 11/04/2019 16:27

Hmmm, I like the sleeves as my upper arms are meh but you could be right, also thinking the viscose might be shiny...will ponder some more...

NotAnActualSheep · 11/04/2019 16:48

Oh - I'm so behind again! Still catching up - but can I just say to fuzzy Flowers Flowers Flowers (and Gin and Wine ). What a b*ggering arse of a week. As with everyone else, I wish I could give you a hug. I know you're taking care of your grieving DH too, but please don't forget yourself. And some more Flowers .

And ella - I can't believe I didn't pick up you were coming to Edinburgh! Are you in the (Radisson?) hotel on the corner of G IV Bridge/ Royal Mile (just going from the possible location of your photo - though i could be totally wrong). V swanky if so! i'm sure you've got all the touristy things sorted - but do let me know if you want any 'tips" (as long as it involves soft play and pizza restaurants, as that's pretty much the only place we go at the moment Grin). Actually, Vittoria on G IV Bridge is pretty good for the latter (plus they do a mean Aperol Spritz and some rather yummy ice cream). Also - hope your DM is recovering - what a nasty shock! Thats another thing to go in the arse-week annals, definitely.

Right - will be back later when I've caught up Grin

neveradullmoment99 · 11/04/2019 17:09

@lego, I really like it. Just with closer inspection there are lots of gapy bits which I am not sure wouldn't show too much when moving. The shape of it is really nice. I also really like the sleeves.

neveradullmoment99 · 11/04/2019 17:09

@Laska, very hush -chic!!

SoyYo · 11/04/2019 17:09

Good to read you @Not!
@cherries yes the blush leather goes with navy, kakhi, red, any neutral colours as it’s more “beige blush” than my jacket and a real classic biker shape. Judging by Hush glowing reviews I’d say worth a try.

@laska you sound super stylish for your little outing Panama hat and all!

DS failed at Peterborough so now he’s going to his gf in the north as she lives 1/2 hour away from passport office in Durham which did have an emergency appointment tomorrow. He’s lost his Ryanair flight tomorrow but rebooked himself on another flight on Sat at crack of dawn...anyway long story. It’s cost him close to £300 the lack of planning and I think he’s learnt a valuable life lesson about forward planning. Poor boy. He’s beating himself up about it, his dad will get up at 4am to drive him to Luton airport on Saturday. He’s too kind.

On the wide stripe trousers...you’re tempting me. Are they that good? I’m only 5 3” so can take some shrinkage...

neveradullmoment99 · 11/04/2019 17:12

I had them and really liked them. Nice fabric and very comfy as well as looking quite classic.

ilovecherries · 11/04/2019 17:15

I I loved them soy. In fact, I was a total dirty minger in them as by the time they needed their first wash the shrinkage reviews were starting to appear. So I aired them in the sunshine for as long as possible, then washed them, shrank them, and got a refund.

ilovecherries · 11/04/2019 17:19

And I’ve ordered the jacket. Looks sadly at halo lying in smithereens. I was a bit ARGH about sitting out for two leather jackets till the BA one refunds, but hey ho. And for some reason my cc has ended up in credit, must have paid it off and then got refunds, so it didn’t feel quite as bad.

ilovecherries · 11/04/2019 17:21

Haha, only ordered it at 17.10, have already had a dispatch notification.

SoyYo · 11/04/2019 17:22

Okay I can afford to give them a go at £35...have always wondered after your fab reviews.
As it’s elastic waist 10 or 12?
I take S in joggers and harems but quite porky at the mo, but still very slim hipped. I’m thinking try a 10? Confused

ilovecherries · 11/04/2019 17:24

Yes, a 10 I think.

neveradullmoment99 · 11/04/2019 17:24

Wow that was quick!!!
I cant honestly remember what size I had. I think I may have had the 10.

SoyYo · 11/04/2019 17:25

Well done cherries! I’ve returned my BA but they’re super slow so yes to waiting out Sad but I do hope the Hush blush is “the one” otherwise you’ll wonder forever and kick yourself later (I did with the Kiera culottes which I really liked last year and foolishly returned, glad they’re back and have been able to reorder)

SoyYo · 11/04/2019 17:25

Thanks! That’s what I thought 👍
I’ll try the 10 and blame you if I don’t like them Grin

neveradullmoment99 · 11/04/2019 17:29

What I cant believe is that there are some jumpers that were just put on and in the sale!!!

neveradullmoment99 · 11/04/2019 17:30

..Like the Clovis ombre jumper..or was that on before?

SoyYo · 11/04/2019 17:35

The ombré is new this season. That’ll teach them to overprice things...and patience for us before rushing to buy before discount or sales are on unless we really really cannot live without trying...
Certain things like the fab sandals and Panama hat may never be reduced or if reduced too late in the season to be of any use but otherwise worthwhile to be prudent and sit it out...
I’ve ordered the stripe trousers and now I’m sitting on my hands refusing to look at the website again Wink

SoyYo · 11/04/2019 17:39

In fairness apart from Boden Hampshire trousers (also bargainous in sale) and the jacket I’ve just returned I’ve not ordered anything this season other than the few Hush (mostly reduced) bits I posted before but still...feeling quite naughty I’ve spent nearly as much as the Hush leather jacket with this sale haul so something must go back!

NotAnActualSheep · 11/04/2019 17:52

soy - I really feel for you and your back...glad it is slowly recovering, but its awful having to work in pain like that. I don't know exactly what it is that has gone wrong - whether your spine itself, or the muscles around it from bending - but I was in absolute agony last year from "twanging" something while twisting and coughing at the same time (I know Blush - I really shouldn't damage myself through coughing fgs). It was awful - I was Envy from the pain, which paracetamol/ cocodamol etc wasn't touching. I ended up going to the GP asking for painkillers to knock out a horse... and he said to try that muscle rub stuff for sporting injuries (voltarol or something). I was Hmm as it felt to "deep" for that, and was by no means a sporting injury - but, my goodness, it was magic - the pain went almost immediately. I'm sure you've tried every painkiller going - but that was what worked for me!

I really hope your DS gets the passport sorted - what a pain, but yy - what a plonker... Definitely a life lesson there...

lego - I tried the cropped jumpsuit in the tiger print. I loved the style, but i thought the fabric was weird...a bit shiny. (the other colours may be different fabric, though?) Also, the v-thing at the back was too deep and flappy for me, and showed my bra - though that would be fixable with a cami or something. Though I didn't love it enough to try... Sizing wise I went for my "normal" high street size and it was fine, though on the larger side. As I'm a pear shape I found the top really too big (though that is always the case...), and I could maybe have got away with a size down even for the bottoms, even allowing for shrinkage. But I may well be a really weird shape Grin

Though on the jumpsuit front, I did find a lovely linen one from toast on eBay a while back (was it never asking?). I took a (v risky!) punt having tried a few actual ones in JL - and it is freaking lovely... will be just right for summer. It is actually a "small", though as with hush, that isn't an "actual" small... Its probably a few seasons old, but the style doesn't seem to have changed. So its a thumbs up from me...

laska - that dress with the hat looks amazing. Really chic. is it like straw? (i.e. could it cope with a freak scottish shower on an otherwise lovely sunny day?). I need to work on my hat game - I love them, and think I can suit them- but always "forget".

soups - hope you find your holy jeans grail. I have to say I took laska's Gap straight recommendation too ages ago, and they are brill!

never - that camo shirt looks amazing. I also remember you saying right at the beginning of the launch that you loved that red pointelle jumper, so I hope you've got for it "to see"! It is cotton I think, so might be OK for a Scottish summer (with a vest underneath!). And the sandals are lovely too.

gin I feel you with the pink boot love. I had the same search when they were launched (its the combo of the shape and colour that is so special), but i couldn't find anything even remotely similar. (Though the shape of the Daniel ones is pretty good!). I told myself not to be so stupid and they would almost certainly be horribly uncomfortable and impractical, and I'd forgotten about them until you mentioned them again!! So yes, I'll fight you for them if they go in the sale Grin .

Though I noticed the puss in boots boots that were so popular here are in the sale Shock . For the bargainous price of £150. Who'd have thought... (I still don't hate them - but still not tempted, until they are, maybe £15).

I'm loving everyone's buys, and looking forward to seeing the sale stuff! (I'm still not buying, but, hey, it's nearly Easter.. Grin so always up for a few reviews, though nothing is really shouting at me at the moment). And sorry the jackets weren't good for len, cherries and soy Sad . But hope the blush one works for you cherries.

neveradullmoment99 · 11/04/2019 17:56

ha ha @ the pussnboots @not! That's exactly what they look like!! To be fair, they are really retro 70's.

dontcallmelen · 11/04/2019 18:24

Just catching up, been painting all day at dd’s am shattered.
You have been well chatty, I’m sure all the stuff you have ordered or thinking of ordering will be fab, I’m too tired to try & figure out who has what😂 do love the Panama hat though Laska cherries I think a blush jacket sounds really good, will be very versatile go with lots of colours, off to look at the sale stuff just to torment myself.
Soy a lesson learned hopefully for Ds, especially when it hits the pocket mine are no better though & still expect me to come to the rescue.

Ellapaella · 11/04/2019 18:40

@NotAnActualSheep that photo was taken from the top of camera Obscura looking down towards the royal mile. We were just staying at the Travel Lodge (on train home now). Coming again in October with some friends from back home (down south) - we'll be staying in an apartment near Haymarket then, can't wait to show them the city, it's so beautiful.

@neveradullmoment99 lllove the leggings, sandals and camo top.

@Laska2Meryls dress is lovely, really suits you

Oh my, they have some good stuff in the sale I like the navy Denver top.
Can also recommend the beaded crepe top, I bought the rose colour last year & have worn it loads, it’s one of my favourite tops looks great with smart shorts or jeans.
