Thanks Melen. He's been away for a couple of days (despite being so ill) as his mum is end of life. Back today and sooo knackered, he's been asleep since he got home! The paralysis may or may not get better but will be a long job whatever (months to years). I'm just looking after him!

dontcallmelen · 09/04/2019 18:16

Aww Fuzzy so so tough on you both, life is fecking shite sometimes💐😘

neveradullmoment99 · 09/04/2019 18:51

Oh @Ella, that is so awful, So glad that everyone is ok. Reminds me of at time my mum was stuck at the lights on a hill and this car behind her was speeding so fast. She was really panicking as right enough he didn't see the lights were at red and she could see the whole thing playing out but she couldn't move from her lane. In the end the car absolutely bashed into her with force but fortunately she was fine. Its what could have been that plays with your mind. It just sends chills. Hope everyone recovers but it does haunt you. Hope you dad is ok too. So kind of friends to help him out.

ella so sorry to hear that, what a horrible shock for you all. How are your mum and nephew today? I totally agree that it really makes you think about life and how things can change so quickly.

Your friend sounds lovely, what a nice thing to do for your dad. I hope it goes well for him Flowers

twosoups1972 · 09/04/2019 18:57

Hi fuzzy thinking of you. Your poor dh. It sounds like you have a great partnership and however rubbish things are, you totally support each other.

Ellapaella · 09/04/2019 19:16

Thanks Soups - they are both ok. They were both checked out by paramedics on the scene yesterday and a very kind person who stopped to help drove them both home as car was a total right off (it was a 40 mile journey back to my mums, complete strangers have been so kind and helpful) but today my nephew has woken up with a very sore neck and so they've spent most of the day in A&E getting him checked out - he's fine though luckily.

Oh no ella how dreadful , (and how fortunate that they were not badly injured) . I hope they are feeling less shocked today , and that your DF is ok .
and fuzzy , You are having such a bad time right now,yo must be devastated, and exhausted I hope you are managing to take a little time for your self ,
soy I had recurring back spasms for some weeks also a few years ago . It was utter agony, I remember one time being here on my own and on the floor , unable to get up for some time , ...

Fresta · 09/04/2019 19:34

Anyone know when Hush are next likely to be offering a discount code? I really want to buy a few things but can't justify the full price.

Laska2Meryls · 09/04/2019 19:39

Fresta they have just finished one so I imagine that it wont be until new summer stuff comes out , But I have a £20 off £80 code I can Pm you if you are a new customer and would like it

Laska2Meryls · 09/04/2019 19:59

I pm'd it to you Fresta Wink

Laska2Meryls · 09/04/2019 20:02

I pm'd it to you Fresta Wink

FuzzyPuffling · 09/04/2019 20:42

I got a Wrap catalogue through the post today. Well, what an uninspiring load of stuff. The only thing I liked was a pair of denim shorts but they were £89. EIGHTY NINE QUID!!!! Daylight robbery.

The rest was sort of beigey floppy buttony stuff that looked nearly but not quite presentable on the skinny young models and would look like the worst sort of bag lady chic on size 14, 61 year old me!

Still, think of all the money I have saved!

(Thank you for the lovely comments about DH and me. We are a late- blossoming relationship(we married when I was 53) after both being divorced and have learned a lot in the past few years!)

Fresta · 09/04/2019 20:44

Thank you for the code- I'm not a new customer but maybe DH can order for me Smile

Laska2Meryls · 09/04/2019 20:49

Ooh would great if he did Fresta Wink I have some things in my basket again.so a referral discount would be brilliant! .Grin

I think Hush are sneaking odd things in , people, have just noticed the Janelle dress is now in Midnight as well , it definitely wasn't when I ordered the khaki one previously

neveradullmoment99 · 09/04/2019 21:29

I thought that too @laska

Laska2Meryls · 09/04/2019 21:30

What else have you spotted never?

neveradullmoment99 · 09/04/2019 21:43

I noticed cropped black leggings, blue dress with crochet on back? A red ombre jumper and there was another rib jumper i have never seen.

neveradullmoment99 · 09/04/2019 21:45

Oh and the blue dress you mentioned. What about you?

Ellapaella · 09/04/2019 21:45

Have never heard of Wrap Fuzzy - off to have a look. It'll be a cold day in hell when I pay £89 for a pair of shorts. I thought the Hush ones were bad enough!

@Ella your poor mother! And all of you really. I’m not at all surprised you’re so shaken, and hope once the shock wears off all will be well. Also your poor dad, what kind friends you have. Indeed we have to be so grateful for the gift that every day really is Flowers

@Fuzzy take care you’ve really been through such a traumatic time and your lovely DH. Lots of self care needed on a daily basis I say

Which is exactly what I did this afternoon. It’s kind of like sciatica pain but basically I did it to myself by twisting and bending weirdly. I’m glad to say the rest this afternoon made a huge difference and feeling the deep muscle pain is starting to ease off.

I was looking through the Daniel sale today (blaming Laska) and came across studded black flip flops. Think I may order. How RocknRoll are they?

GinandGingerBeer · 09/04/2019 21:56

Thanks for looking on my behalf for the boots @laska and @soy. Very kind of you.
I haven't ordered any hush from the new season apart from the Beatrice jumper, I did order the hush hareem dupes from the other thread in S&B.
They arrived today, and are very thin compared to hush and if you're able to wear hush ones out and about without looking like you're in your PJ's (I just can't pull it off) theyre not for you. However if you just chuck em on when you get home from work and need a summer version, then for £6.99,they're great!
Smile
Sorry to hear about your back @soy, mine fully 'goes' once or twice a year, I have had surgery at the top via my neck but it's my lower back now that causes me grief. Daily painkillers or I can't function. Hey ho!

GinandGingerBeer · 09/04/2019 21:57

Oops. Bold cock it. Blush

GinandGingerBeer · 09/04/2019 21:57

Shock UP!!!!!
