Yes, they are very nice but i have them in black😀

neveradullmoment99 · 09/04/2019 07:02

I seem to have an odd habit of needing to wear a thin cami or vest under everything so need to crack that habit!

I do this!

CakeInMyFace · 09/04/2019 07:08

@neveradullmoment99 I am glad I'm not the only one! I think it makes my wobbly bits feel more secure somehow!! Grin

Laska2Meryls · 09/04/2019 07:15

Never that's why I pointed them out! I thought the taupe are more "Spring" Esp with Denim .....

SoyYo · 09/04/2019 08:01

@cake that’s a shame but if you have a cami that’s low at the back too? That might work as nothing wrong with wearing a cami with it, I just thought it may look a bit strange if you could see it through the v neck back. It’s not that low as it covers bra straps so I’m thinking a silky cami with a back at bra level would work okay...

SoyYo · 09/04/2019 08:04

Gorgeous Daniel boots @laska, I had a wee look for @gin too but didn’t find anything remotely as nice as the Hush boots (yet) in that blush colour...

SoyYo · 09/04/2019 08:06

My back is still very sore. I’m going to try and work today from the sofa as I can’t sit for long but I have tons to do. So annoying, I thought I had got rid of my weak back with the last 3 years of Pilates. Obviously not Sad

neveradullmoment99 · 09/04/2019 09:17

Oh @soy, poor you. I suffer from a sore back but it had gone for a long while and it has come back but is more to the left for me. Its down to me lying on my bed on my laptop! I cant stand sitting at a desk or sitting at a table as that hurts my tail bone after a while. I just cant get comfy. Where does everyone else use their laptop?

neveradullmoment99 · 09/04/2019 09:19

I'm looking for comfy places solutions Grin I sometimes have it on my lap but that's not comfy either.

neveradullmoment99 · 09/04/2019 09:19

@Laska, they are very beautiful but sadly I have spent WAY too much on myself - again!

Laska2Meryls · 09/04/2019 09:43

I did Alexander technique a few years ago and invested in a couple of Wave stools ( one for work and one for home ) they are fab ,but it looks like the company no longer makes them . They make something called poschair instead. But they also
lookgood. They were expensive - about 200 each so work wouldn't pay , but I reckon have saved me that in chiropractor fees several times over ,

Laska2Meryls · 09/04/2019 09:45

My job is all sitting at desk..

neveradullmoment99 · 09/04/2019 10:07

That makes sense. I don't know what it is with me and sitting at a desk. I really don't like it!

SoyYo · 09/04/2019 10:35

I also sit all day, it’s not a problem really, until I go and do something stupid like weird twisting in the shower. It’s the first time since I started Pilates that I’ve had a back problem so I do think it’s a one off.
Currently sitting on sofa, propped up wit cushions and a hot water bottle on my sore muscle (left hand side lower back). I’ve obviously just pulled some ligaments as I bent and twisted to shave the back of my thighs.
Tell you why: the IPL Philips Lumea machine was on deal of the day in Amazon on Saturday and I’ve fancied it for ages. It’s quite an investment so it arrived Sunday and I went to shave my legs ready to use for the first time. I want hair free legs this summer...As it is still sitting in its box as I cannot move very well.
Bloody typical Angry once I’m back to normal and can use I’ll let you know if anyone is interested...

SoyYo · 09/04/2019 10:41

I like the posh chair laska. Because of Pilates (and old times when I really did suffer from a bad back all the time) I’m super aware of posture. Agree it’s important to have a decent seat if you are deskbound daily.

dontcallmelen · 09/04/2019 11:12

Soy sending healing vibes, nothing worse than back pain💐 don’t know if this would help, but chiropractor I see sometimes recommend that if you stand against a wall & put a tennis ball in the spot where it hurts & sort of roll it around & pressing against it, can help release the nerves, I do it on my shoulder & it does help.
Yy the vest thing I do it as well, even in the height of summer.

grannycake · 09/04/2019 12:09

Popping in to say to fellow back pain sufferers that I now have a standing desk in one of my offices (I work on two sites) and it definitely helps. You can adjust it so it becomes normal height (but I can't remember how to do that)

twosoups1972 · 09/04/2019 12:21

laska I LOVE those Daniel boots and a great price too. I MUST NOT buy any more boots Grin

gin your 'circle' made me laugh Grin I'm sort of ok at hand sewing but don't own sewing machine and don't have much inclination to learn. Do you know anyone who could alter things for you? We have a chain of shops round here called Sew, they are pretty good (not cheap though).

Soy so sorry to hear about your back, sounds terrible. How are you today?

SoyYo · 09/04/2019 13:34

Thank you for the good wishes ❤️
I am a bit better today in that I am more mobile but still very very sore and if I move suddenly I get spasms. I actually did a couple of hours work this morning and joined a TC but I’m giving up now as I was too sore to properly concentrate.
I’ve just taken a tramadol and I’m off to lie down with a hot water bottle.
All there’s for it is to rest...
I’m sure I’ll be better again tomorrow.
@len yes the tennis ball trick is great and will do once it’s less painful. I got a BA alert in my inbox the Muubaa is shipped 👍 Hope by the time it arrives I’m able to try it on straight away

twosoups1972 · 09/04/2019 14:05

Have a good rest Soy hope you feel better soon Flowers

Ellapaella · 09/04/2019 16:52

@SoyYo sorry to hear about back woes.. have you heard of trigger points? If not it really helps, have a google of them and then ask your DH to massage them for you. It really helps with my neck pain.

Had a bit of a shock - my poor Mum was involved in a car accident yesterday. She was driving my 10 year old nephew from London back to her house and her car was hit by a lorry who had just drifted into the lane she was in, hit her car and sent them flying over the central reservation into the other side of the road. By some miracle she and my nephew escaped with minor injuries only but it's all been a huge shock.there but for the grace of god... My dad has a renal biopsy tomorrow and my mum was obviously going to drive him and can't do that now - hospital is nearly 20 miles from their house. I live 270 miles away but was thinking I may have to go down and take him myself.
But... such lovely friends I have, my oldest and most lovely friend who still lives in the village is getting up at 6am to take my Dad and will take him home afterwards.
I can't believe how lucky we have been that no one was seriously injured or worse. Makes you realise how precious life is and how things could change for ever in an instant when you least expect it.
Sorry for sharing but just feeling really emotional right now!

ilovecherries · 09/04/2019 17:20

Oh god, ella, that is terrifying, no wonder you are feeling emotional. How awful for everyone.

soy, sciatica is just crap. Having spent most of my 50s on opioids, they are sometimes nearly as bad as the pain in terms of their side effects.

dontcallmelen · 09/04/2019 17:35

Ella oh my goodness what an awful experience, so frightening glad that Dm & nephew are ok, well at least physically if not shaken up mentally💐
Aww that was lovely of your friend, hope all goes well with Df🤞🏻
Yy sciatica pain, awful & so debilitating I’m currently on a cocktail of opioids as my shoulder pain is now tracking to my arm/back & hip making me throughly miserable.

FuzzyPuffling · 09/04/2019 17:53

Cripes ella what a dreadful shock. No wonder you're feeling wobbly. There's all those "what if" thoughts combined with the "thank goodness" ones. Horrible for you. I hope everyone involved feels better very soon, and your dad's kidney biopsy goes off well tomorrow.

dontcallmelen · 09/04/2019 17:58

Fuzzy hope Dh is improving & you are ok as you can be.
