never that's really awful. I'm sure I should feel just as aggrieved as you in that situation. They must all be really embarrassed about it, but it is very poor that no-one has stood in your corner and make a bit of a fuss about why you aren't invited.

On the other side,. weddings are usually very tedious. Spend that "present" money on a bloody great present for yourself and your Dh and sod the lot of 'em! (Hugs)

ilovecherries · 06/04/2019 20:39

And same, it wouldn’t be the lack of invite as much as everyone else’s behaviour round it. Really horrible.

neveradullmoment99 · 06/04/2019 20:41

Thanks @cherries and @ella. My dh doesn't see why I am upset with his family like his mum and his closest sister but it feels as if they all knew and no one said a thing. I will get over it but I wont forget it.

it is very poor that no-one has stood in your corner and make a bit of a fuss about why you aren't invited.

It is exactly that.

neveradullmoment99 · 06/04/2019 20:45

And exactly this.

neveradullmoment99 · 06/04/2019 20:47

Anway way thanks @ella and @fuzzy and @cherries. You have helped me so much.

FuzzyPuffling · 06/04/2019 20:51

Isn't this the loveliest thread? Frocks, shoes and support. And all calorie-free. What better?

FuzzyPuffling · 06/04/2019 20:53

Mind you, I just found a skirt I really liked in Zara and when I checked my size online it came out as XL.

XL????? What the hello would it have been before I lost the 2.5 stone? (Do they have a size called "Bugger Off"?)

neveradullmoment99 · 06/04/2019 20:53

So true @Fuzzy Grin You are all Star

neveradullmoment99 · 06/04/2019 20:53

Keep away from @zara. When I was at my slimmest size 10 I was still a large in their things!

neveradullmoment99 · 06/04/2019 20:54

That and mango...but I think their sizes are much better now.

FuzzyPuffling · 06/04/2019 20:56

I used to go into their shop in London (Long Acre)as it was quite near where I worked. It was a very strange experience. Like a really snobby jumble sale.

neveradullmoment99 · 06/04/2019 20:58

Like mango, all their items are for waifs with no boobs, bum, tummy and hips. Not even my dd who is 11 would be able to wear their unrealistic clothes and she is slim but has a womanly shape.

neveradullmoment99 · 06/04/2019 20:59

Sorry she is actually 12!

Ellapaella · 06/04/2019 21:11

Ooh yes Zara is a bloody mine field... can't be arsed with the weird sizing tbh

You've persuaded me. The skirt (glorious floral thing it is) is OUT!

Laska2Meryls · 06/04/2019 22:21

neverthat is so off, I'd be really pissed of about it - totally shabby.you are q right to be upset
Im staying in a house with totally scary 'alexas' in every room ( I tried to put the one in our room in the drawer, but our hosts found out, and said I couldn't . It can't be unplugged either. I hate these things - surveillance angst rules here) in even too scared about what I may say in my sleep . Anyway my friend had had a few too many Wine and is now ordering it to play Judy Garland.. so I have escaped to bed.. ( ive tried to unplug the thing but can't I'm told.. hasn't anyone under 60 ever read 1984? . ) .. I may be an old farty but Wtf?? This is scary stuff.. Anyway I have just ordered it to send them 4doz green biros.as its linked to their Amazon account,I believe.. I really hope it does !

neveradullmoment99 · 06/04/2019 22:32

Thanks @Laska. My dh wont have any Alexas in the house. Doesn't trust them. Apparently amazon retains all info on them - scary stuff.

Ellapaella · 06/04/2019 22:33

@Laska2Meryls this is hilarious!! Just think what mischief you get up to ordering on Alexa!
Just Garland lol....

Laska2Meryls · 06/04/2019 22:45

( Although not!. Bad laska) .she's singing New York, New York down there now !! I think there will be hangovers in the morning!!

Laska2Meryls · 06/04/2019 22:52

Laska2Meryls · 06/04/2019 22:54
