I rebought the hush ones[I sold them then regretted it then the denim ones sold out] which I adore. I have the fat face ones but I like them less.

dontcallmelen · 06/04/2019 15:38

cherries I have a bit of a tum, Csection & various stomach surgery scarring overhang, I always wear high waisted skinny jeans which I think help contain it a bit & don’t wear a close fitting top with skinny’s I don’t tuck tops in either, makes me look shorter than ever, is it maybe because you have become more aware of tummy due to the boob reduction.

neveradullmoment99 · 06/04/2019 15:39

Oh and currently trying to exercise my stomach down. I do about 60 crunches on my exercise machine atm. Also do my cardio on my bike to burn the fat off. its a slow and rather depressing process.

neveradullmoment99 · 06/04/2019 15:39

My tummy looks better than it did but up until I eat :( :(

neveradullmoment99 · 06/04/2019 15:40

I agree with @melen. High waisted skinnies or good pants!!!!

dontcallmelen · 06/04/2019 15:43

Yy longer vest tops, I always do this as well, plus skimming or a slightly floaty top look fine with skinny’s as your bottom half is fitted, when I wear more wide leg bottoms I wear a more fitted top as I think it balances it out your shape.

neveradullmoment99 · 06/04/2019 15:45

I do exactly that too @melen.
With the culottes, I will wear a slight more fitted top. It doesn't mean tight. A hush tee for example is a happy medium or a slim fitting jumper.

dontcallmelen · 06/04/2019 15:47

never yes I think otherwise you end up looking like a square & as I’m 4ft 10 it ain’t a good look😂

Ellapaella · 06/04/2019 15:52

I am pretty flat chested and find my section apron sticks out somewhat, It all really depends on what I wear. High waisted is fine depending on the material and providing tops are tucked in. I prefer tops that skim which is why I love Hush - their clothes are perfect for this dilemma! I can't wear anything skin tight, absolutely not. I also find being quite small of boob emphasises the tops of my arms as well and makes them look bigger.
I probably over worry about this - I expect I am a little too critical when I look in the mirror. I have never had a flat stomach, not even in my teens and pre dc.

I REALLY like this top:

www.whitestuff.com/womens/tops-and-tees/peridot-green-plain-carly-garment-dyed-jersey-tee/

Think it would be one of those happy medium tops that you could wear with a vest under it and skinny jeans or with the culottes. It reminds me of the hush linen ones but its cotton and I love garment washed tops as they bring out my slob like nature.

ilovecherries · 06/04/2019 15:56

Apparently, I am now a true hourglass. Well presumably I always was, I just used to look like a giant pumpkin on legs. Hips and shoulders measure the same. I didn't see it myself, as I think I have a thick waist, but from the back, without all the distractions, I can see the hourglass shape more clearly. What has thrown me with this surgery is the position of my waist. I always thought I had a bizarrely short trunk. I now realise that the reason I thought that was because my boobs came down almost to a level with my belly button. Now they've been lifted to a normal position, I can see that my trunk is actually quite long, and my waist (in clothes), is now at a more normal position, whereas before my boobs hoisted the garment waist incredibly high. I do feel a bit of a tuck gives me more definition though, otherwise I tend to look a bit like two rectangles on top of each other.

ilovecherries · 06/04/2019 16:00

Oh yes, these ARE nice, never. I've worn my linen ones from hush a lot, but the cotton could also be worn alone - which the linen really can't be - well, not by me, anyway.

Ellapaella · 06/04/2019 16:41

Cherries did you do the style by Susie consultation?

ilovecherries · 06/04/2019 19:24

Yes, it came back last Saturday, ella. Apparently I’m a true hourglass with a Parisienne style personality :)

Ellapaella · 06/04/2019 19:44

Is it worth doing do you think? Were you pleased with it? I'm intrigued and thinking of getting it done. I can be quite conservative in my clothes choices and think it might help me think outside the box a bit. If you're on the FB group you might spot me Wink

...and what hurts the most is that everyone knew we weren't invited including my dh sister and never said anything.

That's awful @neveradullmoment99! Gosh I feel really angry in your behalf! It's at best thoughtless but at worst cruel. I can't believe your MIL is talking about it as though nothings happened! I'd have to say something if it were me...
What does your DH think?

Oh, that’s really nasty, never, I’d be upset as well.

Ellapaella · 06/04/2019 20:38

I'm not surprised you're annoyed. It's very tactless.
