Tbh you have to pity people who are so full of hatred over exaggerated and often completely made up bollocks about someone they don't even know. They must be really miserable in their own lives.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 09/04/2019 10:10

vegetable plot planned for Frogmore

I love the concept of Farm to table. Apparently Meghan did a lot of gardening in California. I’d like her to promote a Michelle Obama gardening and healthy eating campaign. ( god knows, especially in the case of a no deal Brexit, we’ll need to be self sufficient...)

QueenOfTheAndals · 09/04/2019 10:53

That's some hilarious Photoshop by the Mail!

We really are starved of British royal fashion atm. No word on any engagements for Kate though I assume they'll ramp up again after the school holidays. And maybe we'll see a few royals out and about for the service on Easter Sunday.

Where does the queen spend Easter? Sandringham?
Might get a glimpse of Kate....

Will William be back from nz in time for louis’ first birthday?

QueenOfTheAndals · 09/04/2019 11:51

I thought Sandringham but apparently it's Windsor.

Isn't William going to NZ at the end of the month? I presumed that'd be after Louis' birthday.

Not totally related but I had a woman tell us a group of us last week (I'm mixed race btw so it's not like she wasn't aware) that 'did you know black people can't swim? they just sink to the bottom like a stone, amazing'. I gave her VERY short shrift but just pointing out that the hatred for Meghan is probably very race related and they're still horrified that the Royal family has been tainted and worse, is about to have a non white royal child. I'm saddened by it all but not surprised.

QueenOfTheAndals · 09/04/2019 11:59

That is shocking @TipseyTorvey!

Oh jesus Tipsey. That's horrifying.

SwimmingInTheDeepBlueSea · 09/04/2019 12:24

tipsy Shock I cannot get my head around how people can even think such things let alone say them out loud.

Tbh I had no idea how much rasicm still persisted and all this stuff with Megan has been an eye opener.

SlipperOrchid · 09/04/2019 12:50

I’d say Chelsy Davy is breathing a HUGE sigh of relief that she escaped the clutches of the RF and British public. Cressida Bonas would have fared better by virtue of her nationality but again must be very relieved.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 09/04/2019 12:50

Yes, William is due to go late april

Louis’ Birthday is 23rd April and Charlotte’s is 2nd May, so maybe he will squeeze the trip into the gap.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 09/04/2019 12:52

I think Chelsea would have been ok, but she is way too intelligent and would have found it stifling.

I think Cressida would have pleased the traditionalists.

SlipperOrchid · 09/04/2019 13:13

Chelsy is probably intelligent but privileged and used to a life of luxury without boundaries. I follow her on Istagram and she goes from one ‘travel experience’ to the next, interrupted only by holidays! I am very envious of her lifestyle!

TipseyTorvey · 09/04/2019 13:16

I don't think Chelsea would have coped well at all. She always struck me as a fun and super intelligent but I suspect her background from a private gated life in South Africa to guilded public cage might have been too much.

Calloway · 09/04/2019 13:18

Chelsy probably just wasn't that into him. When the person you're ditching is a prince it's much easier (as if I'd know!) to do the ditching as you can let them down gently with a 'it's not you, darling, it's the life of duty and the fame...'

Calloway · 09/04/2019 13:24

I've just had a peek at her instagram. She's a jewellery designer now. Ideal profession for someone whose life is 68% exotic holidays Grin

Jewellery designer
Photographer
Gallery assistant

Those seem to be the go to jobs for posh gals.

Can't imagine any of them wanting to be a nursery nurse like Diana!

QueenOfTheAndals · 09/04/2019 13:27

She's a jewellery designer now but she used to be a solicitor and worked at a London law firm for a few years.

OP posts:
Calloway · 09/04/2019 13:30

Pretty short career though. 30 days annual leave aren't really compatible with her kind of lifestyle.

BlingLoving · 09/04/2019 13:35

I know she was studying law and got a job at a fancy law firm blah blah, but I can't help wondering if she was really that smart? And while I know a LOT of people who have gone to work for city law firms and decided it was time to move on after a while, it usually takes more than just a couple of years. She never looked that smart to me. Ditto Cressida. It's one of the reasons I like Meghan as she clearly IS smart. I think it's brilliant that harry found someone who is smart and also who actively wants the kind of platform that allows her to be high profile and raise the profile of issues that are close to her heart. I mean, quite franklyly, that's the perfect partner for a senior royal because let's face it, if you're not genuinely interested in charity work and diplomacy, you're going to be miserable as sin.

Calloway · 09/04/2019 13:43

Chelsy reminds me of Camilla. Loves a fag and a laugh and a spot of sunbathing.

queenofarles · 09/04/2019 13:44

she never looked that smart to me
really unfair to say that bling , unless you have met Chelsea?
Its like all these people saying Meghan looks smug and calculative . Equally unfair .

SlipperOrchid · 09/04/2019 13:47

I find it difficult to figure out what she sees in Harry tbh. I say that as a Meghan ‘supporter’ rather than a fan as I am not a ‘fan’ of any member of the RF. Harry seems a perfectly nice guy but with all the fuss, ceremony and restrictions marrying into the RF brings, I can’t fathom why someone who is clearly intelligent would willingly join it.

Kate is suited to it, I think she grew up being a ‘Royalist’ and was suitably humble and grateful but that was in no small part due to the UK class system. Meghan did not have to go down this route. Was she swept up in the whirlwind romance or the somewhat naive idea of ‘doing good works’. I don’t understand it but I sincerely wish her well and hope that Kate publicly supports her but sadly I have little faith Kate will do anything that might bring her less favour.

queenofarles · 09/04/2019 13:49

calloway god I hope she won’t be another Camilla, but yes she seems like a bubbly fun person.

Calloway · 09/04/2019 13:50

She may have been in part swept up in the celebrity of it all. I'd imagine going from being a B list TV actress to being one of the most famous women in the world could be quite intoxicating for some.

QueenOfTheAndals · 09/04/2019 13:51

A novel idea - maybe she loves him! And he can give the work she wants to do a bigger platform that she could've ever hoped for by herself.
