Bea’s man does look dodgy. They haven’t been dating very long, so maybe they will wait a bit longer before getting married. Hope she doesn’t feel like she’s got to get married soon. I think he has a two year old daughter so he’s found someone else pretty quickly imo.

Rhubarbisevil · 08/04/2019 07:07

I’m sure they’ll get married, have a couple of kids and then he’ll move on and clean up. Thanks Bea. I know you feel that you’re on the shelf but it doesn’t have to be like this.

QueenOfTheAndals · 08/04/2019 07:11

I don't know about dodgy - he has a child from a previous relationship but other than that seems a fairly standard rich bloke to me. He can't be any dodgier than Bea's dad!

Thé mother of Edo’s son didn’t know he was dating béa until she read about it in the papers. The Sun.
Story makes me think he had custody, unless both the mother and child had to kip on a friend’ssofa

itswinetime · 08/04/2019 07:41

The article says

She claimed her daughter was forced to leave Edo's swanky London flat and kip on a friend's sofa while looking for a new place to live.

Which is pretty shitty if true but it's the sun so it's possible they haven't provided the whole story.

QueenOfTheAndals · 08/04/2019 07:53

His ex is on Instagram and doesn't exactly seem penniless so am wondering about that. But the quote about sleeping on a friend's sofa comes directly from her mother so maybe he is a bit of a rotter after all. I guess time will tell. Anyway it's the tabloids who are rushing to marry them off, so I take the wedding stories with a pinch of salt!

And another expensive parade around the streets while we all simper over the pair of them?

Laiste · 08/04/2019 07:58

Sorry. Got out of bed on the wrong side today. I enjoy these threads a great deal.

Disfordarkchocolate · 08/04/2019 08:17

Lots of the gutter press are making the Queen out to be some sort of evil dictator. A whole list of what she won't allow has been trotted out since Meghan appeared. At her age, I'm sure she's seen countless fashions, children names, diets etc come and go and no longer gives a flying fig.

The Queen is my favourite royal and I'm sure we'd all know is she'd gone from pampered and not in touch with the real world to evil controlling monster. I need to stop reading gossip.

QueenOfTheAndals · 08/04/2019 08:31

That's what I've said all along @Disfordarkchocolate! HM has seen everything - I hardly think she's going to be bothered by sleeveless dresses and open-toed shoes when she wore more than her fair share of them in the 50s and 60s. People forget she wasn't always a nonagenarian - she was fairly glam as a young woman!

Remember Margaret's post-divorce years @QueenOfTheAndals, surely nothing can shock the Queen after that. She may never have had to clean the loo but all families have challenges, privilege doesn't stop that. Roll on Baby Sussex and some lovely pictures of a baby and its doting parents.

Paradyning · 08/04/2019 08:49

Baby due

Paradyning · 08/04/2019 08:49

Honk?? *think!

Paradyning · 08/04/2019 08:50

Jesus. And I meant I always thought she was about 4 weeks ahead of me.

polarpig · 08/04/2019 09:15

It would be great for the York family to have another wedding next year

I think they might be seeing a baby in the family before another wedding.

FlyMayBe · 08/04/2019 09:18

I have a feeling that the 'rules' are invented by the men in grey suits...

Disfordarkchocolate · 08/04/2019 09:24

And the gutter press.

QueenOfTheAndals · 08/04/2019 09:44

Looks like the gutter press are giving Meghan some time off and going for Beatrice's boyfriend instead this week.

Don’t you think the RF will lose its appeal, once they act like ordinary people? The Rules makes them like no other royal family in the world, these old bygone era dos and don’ts, make them so fascinating to many, even if they were recently implied, maybe HM approves of such rules now in her old age. And please don’t judge me for saying that, but I always got the sense that HM wasn’t this easy going back in the 80s and 90s around the time her sons were married and when these rules were first known of?

Disfordarkchocolate · 08/04/2019 10:50

Having to water tights and pale nail polish etc (if you do) isn't fascinating its just anarchic enough to think they are too removed from real life. So no I think more real life is needed not less.

beachyhead · 08/04/2019 11:38

Water tights Grin

desertgirl · 08/04/2019 11:46

And anarchic enough 😀

I don’t believe these are real rules anyway, but I like the idea of the royal family having anarchic rules.

Disfordarkchocolate · 08/04/2019 11:52

Bloody spellcheck - wear tight!!

Disfordarkchocolate · 08/04/2019 11:55

Well, I defiantly got the wrong word there and I can't remember the one I mean!! I want to blame my current medication but I think its lack of chocolate Smile

polarpig · 08/04/2019 13:22

It'd be refreshing to see Kate or any of the Royals to eschew the work dress code and wear whatever they like, it's never going to happen though is it? I can imagine them both getting into comfy pyjamas the minute they get some.
