There's a very interesting article in yesterday's Times Comment www.thetimes.co.uk/past-six-days/2019-03-31/comment/tread-carefully-meghan-otherwise-kate-the-vaporiser-in-chief-will-disappear-you-nv6x587xz about Kate being known as 'vaporiser-In-chief, freezing out various friends over a period of time (Ben Fogle, Tom Inskip, Guy Pelly) and Meghan being in line too for ostracism.
Apparently Kate's a stickler for pecking order and precedence and Meghan must always curtesy to her.
If this article is anything to be believed then it shows a very different side to smiley, chatty Kate, more like steely, chilly Kate. It's not helped by Meghan not believing in 'toeing the line' too.

haven't read the story yet, but clicked on link and see it's Camilla Long. Almost everything she writes is so batshit crazy and ridiculous, I'm prepared to find this article really silly. The Sunday Times loves batshit commentators like her and Rod Liddle. It's offensive.

Yup - bollocks piece. I love the reference to Guy Pelly not being talked about anymore... but acknowledging he's Louis's Godparent. FFS, it's been pretty well established that anyone who talks about them gets axed. So the chances are that Guy Pelly taking a low profile approach to life, while still being godfather, means its more likely he really is still part of the inner circle.

I hate hate hate the bitchiness. Not least because, while I've met many annoying obnoxious women in my time, I've never met anyone who is as evil/ focused on success etc as the way they're portrayed in the media. It's so f*ing two dimensional.

That Camilla Long article is crazy. She tries to blame Kate for freezing out Tom Inskip (who I thought was more of a friend of Harry and then not invited to the whole of Harry's wedding) and Guy Pelly who is Louis' godfather.

She also intimates it is MM spreading the anti-Kate rumours but ultimately she just wants to bitch about them both.

Camilla wants to bitch about both Kate and Meghan I meant.

Aaah - okay. But Richard is not pro Meghan. And loves to take offence when he's challenged on the way the Express treats her. I quite like following him on Twitter (refuse to read the Express) but I do find his bleating about how mean people are to him hard to take. So I was confused re your comments. Welcome @Insecure123! You can start at the begging but it may take you a while to get through all the threads.

There's a Diana memorial playground in Kensington Gardens, it's very well-equipped but gets extremely crowded.

Someone mentioned William not doing much for the last couple of weeks - he's been doing quite a few investitures at the Palace, most likely because Charles has been off in the Caribbean. Usually they share them, so just because he hasn't been out, doesn't mean he hasn't been doing stuff (not that I think he's overworked in any way, just that sometimes they are all doing stuff we don't see, but it's still part of the job!)

It's a shame that it has been derailed so completely by all this pointless speculation - it's gone from feeling so nice and friendly to just being gossipy. It's not the light-hearted distraction thread that I used to enjoy.

This is another battle Kate will obviously win, because no one wins against Kate, not even William, who caved, let us never forget, after 10 years of her PR onslaught. Do you know how much steel it takes to casually pretend you’re not bothered for nearly a decade?

Which seems in keeping with Harry and Meghan and more then Edward and Sophie or even Charles and Camillia who seem to do lots of separate visits just for context.

Also agree with pp both William and Harry seen to have been doing as many engagements as Meghan abs Kate but they get very little attention when the are on there own Prince Willian was at the world economic conference in January you barely heard about it. Although I do agree there is definitely a long way to go before they are over worked.

I don't like the Camillia article it reads as bitchy and nasty. And I'm not sure why if he has been playing around she needs to direct that at Kate? But I don't k is anything about her to know if there is likely to be anything in what she is saying.

Personally I would rather have the thread do nothing for a few days, rather than wade through pages of gossip to find the next fashion-related post.

I just think it's a shame that this thread has changed in tone so much over the last few days, that's all.

I hope it's all just mindless gossip but I suspect it's true. Entitled man who wants for nothing, with a doting wife at home. How many times have we all read threads on here about such men who then want to have their cake and eat it? It won't be confirmed in the press through, we'll either never know or won't know for years and years to come. Wouldn't be surprised to see another Cambridge baby now though....

And yes these threads are primarily about fashion, but there's no fashion to talk about and this is current, headline news. The person who starts the threads seems happy enough for a bit of gossip to go on so let's not start getting all bickery about it. If you don't like it, scroll past! I personally find the deviations from fashion quite interesting and sometimes informative, aside from gossip there's been a lot of actual proper history from people with far more knowledge than me on these threads that I've not been aware of.

I think William is an utter fool is he's been playing around. Anyway, I saw this on IG yesterday, a montage of Meghan's pregnant wardrobe and it's really interesting seeing the outfits together like this, it really highlights the hits and misses although I still have a soft spot for the pom pom dress
