Oh it did! Strange.

neveradullmoment99 · 29/03/2019 13:56

I was right getting a size up. No give at all.

NotAnActualSheep · 29/03/2019 14:09

Sad to have missed all the talk and photos Grin (and drink... mmmm...aperol spritz...). Though soy - you and your DH look brilliant - so happy together! (Can't do heart emojis, but I would if I could Grin ). Talking of people looking like other people, in fact, your DH really looks like one of our clients! I seem to remember you saying he's Scottish - but he doesn't happen to have a brother or something doing something in oil/ gas?! Also going back a few pages re the Paris job - it sounds as if you are thinking no, and given what you have said, that does seem sensible. It doesn't sound as if it is something you would love/ thrive on, and you do seem to have a good "deal" at the moment with home working away from the office - albeit with lots of travel and stress . The change sounds like it may just not have enough pros to balance out the cons - and keeping a sensible work/life balance is so important, even if you could sit out on a Parisian terrace with some vin in your spare time Smile

laska -the chinos are great on you - really lovely, and the dress too! I love both jumpers, but the yellow is probably more unusual and yy a lovely contrast with the trousers (though the blue also works really well with them). Though I think last year there were loads of linen jumpers left at sale time, so you would probably be safe leaving one for now. Good haul!

offred - I know it was a few pages back, but that dress looks great on you - it really suits you! And I love the necklace you have with it.

Also lol @ the leather jacket enabling! Well done len - you've been inspiring in your longevity on The Bench - and if you do keep the jacket it is definitely a "classic" thing that it's worth spending on, so definitely not something to feel you've fallen off for some frippery!

soups - I really hope your DD is better today. Envy (not envy...)

I hope you had a good breakfast never! Sounds like a lovely day and your haul sounds promising too..hope the jeans work as well as laska's chinos. And cherries - hope your hunt for a bra is successful Grin .

NotAnActualSheep · 29/03/2019 14:14

Odd - I'm sure your post wasn't there when I started mine never! Anyway, that looks lovely. Envy at your legs. (actual envy this time...!) I love the print..does it look really camo-y, or is it more of a green leopard print? (I thought it was the latter from the website, but it is described as camo!) I don't think it's too short worn like that at all - it looks fab. Though I agree that i wouldn't wear with bare legs at that length - which may be a problem if you were after something for better weather?

neveradullmoment99 · 29/03/2019 15:21

Thanks @not. Here are the crops.

Hushistas spring/summer Vol 2! Planning for the sunshine this way..
neveradullmoment99 · 29/03/2019 15:42

Definitely keeping crops.

Laska2Meryls · 29/03/2019 15:53

Crops are nice, never are you keeping them? Camo skirt is lovely , - great styled with the socks!! but yes if no give possibly best to size up ( it looks fine though but only you know if it is comfortable).

BTW the Chaminox are stretchy and quite loose on the waist ( which tbh is a good thing atm) but this is why I want to try a size down also.

Not That's a v good point about the linen jumpers. I do love the yellow one a lot but its definitely to thin to wear right now .. .. Hmm , what to do ?

I'm ordering the smaller dress (i think the dress will look great with gold necklace and sandals) and navy crops later and may go fo rthe Moritz also ! Never did yo get a 10 or 12 in the Moritz? -we are usually about the same size I think ,(but I may be a bit bigger atm ).

It was 16c here earlier, Im in crop jeans ( not Hush ones) , the navy saltwaters I dug out earlier to try on with the Chaminox and my yellow Love Sweat from last year (no vest top underneath ) ! Although my feet did get cold walking around Sainsburys just now ..

Laska2Meryls · 29/03/2019 15:57

Oh I see, Never you already sized Up! Keep, it looks great on you !

NotAnActualSheep · 29/03/2019 16:35

Oh yes - they look great never. They'll look lovely with sandals like in laska's photos!

I think if you will kick yourself if the yellow sells out I would keep it, laska - then you'll be ready for if when the good weather comes Grin . Same for the blue to be honest, but if you only really want one now, you could probably get the other at a better discount in a couple of months. I wore my green one the other day with a long vest underneath (though did have an emergency jacket), so I don't think its beyond the realms of possibility you'll be able to wear it soon...in the Tropical South definitely. Especially if you're already at one-layer weather! I would probably want to have a vest on underneath anyway for mine, as it is a bit see-through - though IMO not nearly as bad as the ones from last summer which went straight back.

The dress will look lovely with a gold necklace Smile . Its a lovely shade of green and the shape looks good on you - but yes, a smaller size may be better.

Ellapaella · 29/03/2019 18:00

Love the skirt and the jeans Never - both look really good.

twosoups1972 · 29/03/2019 18:25

Will catch up properly over the weekend, just off to see oldest dd at her boarding school for her dance show. Little dd is improved and should be ok to dance tmw in her show fingers crossed. Have a lovely weekend lovely people Smile

neveradullmoment99 · 29/03/2019 18:29

I think the trousers and jumpers look perfect on you @Laska. The denim ones look longer than the Chamonix and are very comfy. I have a round tum and they feel good. I wouldn't say they are really stretchy but they have a bit going on.
Thanks for all the positive comments with the skirt and jeans.

SoyYo · 29/03/2019 20:16

Had another totally crazy 12 hour work day Angry so just catching up but totally brain dead...
@laska really love the yellow jumper and culottes combo. The blue is good too but if you have to choose go with yellow and yes I reckon size down in the dress. Fab!
@never adore the skirt on you super cute! But not so sure on the jeans. They actually look good on you it’s just me not convinced that I like that jean shape...

Thanks @cherries and @soup and @not for your kind comments on photos...no time to ask MN to delete yet Blush
@not DH indeed had a brother who worked in the gas rigs off the Aberdeen coast but he passed away a decade ago now 😢 so I guess he’s just got the “Scots” look

I have 3 yes 3 unopened parcels!! 😱 too shattered to do now but will report back

Laska2Meryls · 29/03/2019 20:27

soy ooh parcels!!!! Looking forward to seeing the contents on you , Thanks , I love the yellow and DH does too and also the chinos so they are keepers . He says keep the pale rose t as well .. so I probably will,. I will get the dress smaller (i havent shown him that as I do think its too big on me ) , and also try the smaller size chinos.. Hopefully Boden parcel will arrive tomorrow, But i may order the Moritz anyway before the discount ends on Sunday

BTW the Mumsnet Moderator commented ( when they deleted my 'drunk with Dd' photo ) that I looked like I had had a really good time that night ! Blush

SoyYo · 29/03/2019 20:38

Indeed @laska you did look super happy in that photo 😍
Where do I look to contact MN to get pics deleted? Told you I was brain dead 🤣
Yes I’ll leave opening parcels till tomorrow when I’m less tired and can look forward to it in the morning

Ellapaella · 29/03/2019 20:42

GrinWineLaksa - you did look very jolly (in a good way).
I loved seeing the pics, you are all very lovely looking people.

My DH has been working late on various different things every night this week and is again not home until midnight tonight. I'm absolutely shattered having done everything here on my own all week - 3 kids and a boisterous lab that needs at least an hour exercise every night are hard work on your own. Also having the period from hell - on blood thinners so I am so heavy I had to set an alarm to change every three hours last night 😥. Just feeling a bit 'Meh'.
Having a glass of wine tonight (haven't really been drinking much at all since January) and going to catch up with 'The Bay' on TV.
Then tomorrow i will finally get a bit of a break. Having my hair done - going to have balayage rather than just foils and then we are out tomorrow evening so I'm looking forward to getting a bit dressed up.

Soups - sending good luck vibes for your DD's dances.

Looking forward to seeing some photos tomorrow Soyo.

Just got in, crikey it’s been a very long day.
Love all your pics & agree it all looks good on both never & Laska I love the yellow jumper especially.
Not 😂 definite enabling going on yesterday, but am determined if the jacket is not totally perfect it’s going back, I have justified as yy it’s a classic, I have put myself back on the bench until the end of May as by then I will actually need some summer stuff, for my holidays in June & July

Laska2Meryls · 29/03/2019 20:47

You just click on the post you want to delete and report it .. and on the form just ask them to delete it Soy

Ive been thinking , we really should have a meet up! its hard to find somewhere we can all get to easily but how about a Hushistas city break?

Dublin perhaps? I had a great weekend in Dublin with friends a few years ago

dontcallmelen · 29/03/2019 20:49

@FuzzyPuffling I really hope Dh is feeling a bit better & that you are ok💐

Laska2Meryls · 29/03/2019 20:50

or Edinburgh is also good (great for flying to for those of us southerners also )

Ellapaella · 29/03/2019 20:51

Ask I second Edinburgh... that would be fantastic, and great shopping too!
I'd definitely be up for it.. let's do it!

OP posts:
Ellapaella · 29/03/2019 20:52

Not ask, I mean I second Edinburg!

OP posts:
Laska2Meryls · 29/03/2019 20:54

I know a great Edinburgh hotel..have stayed here before

dontcallmelen · 29/03/2019 20:55

Soups yes good luck for dd dance exams/show.
Aww Ella that’s tough when you have to do everything by self when periods are so heavy, especially when blood thinners are involved as well, hairdo & a nice evening out sounds like just what you need.
Ooh Laska I love Dublin, we went a couple of years ago as Dh baby brother was ordained a Priest in a parish about ten minutes from the city centre had a fantastic time.

NotAnActualSheep · 29/03/2019 20:56

Oh no soy - I'm sorry to hear that Sad. And sorry to be tactless... but I did think the likeness was uncanny! Though as you say, there may just be a "look" that lots of people share! (People always say I remind them of others...so I must have that kind of face too!!). Hope you have a good evening, and looking forward to hearing about your boxes when you're less knackered.

Laska - your DH sounds lovely! Wish mine expressed any kind of opinion on clothes (well, actually, only favourable opinions welcomed..or at least useful opinions). Lol @ the moderator Grin . They must get so fed up of having to remove posts that are nasty or advertising or something, it's probably a bit of light relief to deal with accidental drunk photos Grin . Sorry I missed it...
