I need a new shampoo and conditioner..

Basically as the title says.. I'm in need of some some shampoo and conditioner!

For the past year or two I've been using bed head products and I've run out of the last lot.

I have recently had my extentions taken out as well so my hair is in need of some TLC.
I'm also booked in for my hair dying and will be going blonder in a few weeks.
I only wash my hair once every 5-7 days so don't want anything that's packed with moisture and will make my hair greasy.

Any recommendations of 'high street' shampoo and conditions from boots/Superdrug etc or should I stay with a salon brand?

I asked my hairdresser and she said to use 'Fanola' which is a silver shampoo and then a Revlon hair mask which they sell at the salon.

I use Aldi's as good as the brands, they have a few options

Dr Organic Aloe is really lovely, as is the Faith in Nature Brave Botinicals range. Neither will weigh your hair down. For more dosh, try Living Proof.

Currently using goldwell dualsenses smooth shampoo, conditioner and 60 second repair. It's the best I've tried in a long time.

JustBeenNosey · 03/03/2019 16:48

@haverhill thanks, how much roughly are the dr organic aloe?

I'm not wanting to spend a fortune that's all 🙈

@MrJellyBean ohh okay, thanks! How much roughly is that one? And where can you buy it?

Oh.. just to add as well, I do suffer from scalp psoriasis so something that could possibly help with that as well would be a bonus😂😄

I am using the tea tree Faith in nature and its been great for my scalp.

JustBeenNosey · 03/03/2019 17:05

@LivingDeadGirlUK okay thanks! Where can you buy this from?

I use Fudge clean blonde violet shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo smells of the original play doh!

You only need. A tiny bit so it might be dearer than some to buy but it lasts forever!

haverhill · 03/03/2019 17:10

Dr Organic is about £6 to £8 from Holland and Barrett.

BiscuitDrama · 03/03/2019 17:12

I also like Faith in Nature. You should find all the sulphate free etc more gentle for psoriasis. I really like Jason, but it’s a bit more expensive. The Faith in Nature in only about £4.
Both, and others are here

LivingDeadGirlUK · 03/03/2019 17:12

So I get it from our local organic shop but amazon sell it too.

JustBeenNosey · 03/03/2019 17:12

@Palominoo ahhh yes I used to use this when I had red hair.. they did the sachets or conditioner to brighten up your hair between colours. I might look into this, thank you!

I love Briogeo - buy it from TK Maxx

clownstotheleft · 03/03/2019 18:07

Another one for faith in nature (I use coconut). Like it so much I invested in a 5l tub of both (with pumps) - it'll last for years Grin

JustBeenNosey · 03/03/2019 18:13

@professionalnomad thank you! I'll take a look!

@clownstotheleft looks like I'm gonna be trying some of the Faith on Nature.. it seems to be a hit!

@BiscuitDrama thank you. That's what I'm thinking, about moving to something more natural and with less chemicals in which should hopefully help with my psoriasis.. I'll take a look at that link 🙂

Check out the OGX range. Available in most supermarkets or boots. About 6.99 each or often on discount for 1/3 off.
Really good!

JuniperBeer · 03/03/2019 18:52

Oh and it’s sulfate free

Samind · 03/03/2019 18:54

The caffiene shampoo is really good! Alpecin I think it's called. I buy the cheapo version from savers though. 😂

Samind · 03/03/2019 18:55

Also there's a serum called no more haircuts just a little bit on the ends after washing and its made lots of difference to my hair (I leave mines to dry though)

JustBeenNosey · 03/03/2019 19:32

@JuniperBeer oh I'll have a look at that as well now, thank you x
