Here we go again, and as always say what you like about the clothes but keep it civil re the wearers of said clothes!

Signing bananas... I don't know. It this what i's all come to? Why does she need designer outfits to go out and sign bananas? It' ridiculous.

Paradyning · 01/02/2019 18:28

Can't see the earrings in this one though. But they're red dangly ones.

QueenOfTheAndals · 01/02/2019 18:28

@Paradyning I quite liked that red McQueen but it's not the season for it right now. The red pumps don't look right either, dresses with a boho vibe need sandals.

It's understandable that Kate would be guided by Camilla, as Kate will be stepping into Camilla's shoes eventually. Also, Camilla rarely puts a foot wrong in elegant appropriate presentation.

I can't think why Kate would be expected to follow Meghan for style advice, as Kate has been in the public eye for years already, and she and Meghan's final roles will be very different.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 01/02/2019 18:33

I think Kate looks smart but tired.
Although I feel really sorry for her being papped. How on earth did they find out?
Reminds me of her pre marriage days. Surely those are her ppos in front of her.

itswinetime · 01/02/2019 18:42

Great charity shame all the buzz is going to be about Meghan signing Bananas not the charity but at least they are trying. Heres hoping some of the benefactors of the parcels do sell them, on the money is probably more useful than the message. Side note I would love to get Anne's take on Banana signing Grin

I think with Kate's dress she is obviously trying to just get inside and looks very uncomfortable so the dress is sitting all wrong not off the shoulders ect because here it looks good agree the sandals work better than the red pumps.

Think that red dress is an incredibly odd choice for a winter evening party. And teaming it with a full shoe and black jacket - ConfusedShock

DobbyTheHouseElk · 01/02/2019 19:05

The dresses don’t look the same imo.

Laniakea · 01/02/2019 19:08

DM says that there was a tropical theme. Think the papping is pretty awful - but I clicked on the link so I'm the problem!

itswinetime · 01/02/2019 19:12

I think the Bardot style top is just sitting to high because of the coat. I imagine ones it was off and everything back in place it would have looked the same. It is an odd choice though In winter I would have thought she'd have better choices.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 01/02/2019 19:17

Why is she walking along the street. Those awful paps.

Hairydilemma · 01/02/2019 19:49

Those pics of Kate are dreadful (and I know, I clicked on them so I am perpetuating the problem) - they remind me of video of Diana in an airport where she was trying to cover her face with a tennis racquet.

I know they have a lot of advantages in life, but I’d hate to face that when I walked down the street.

hopeishere · 01/02/2019 19:54

Why is she walking along the street??What's she supposed to do? Teleport? Tunnel into the house.

She looks fine for a family party / private engagement. As long a she had a nice night. Love she has her bag of pressies with her. Her close family is a great role model for her own family.

itswinetime · 01/02/2019 20:06

Why is she walking along the street.

I would guess dammed if you do dammed if you don't. Block of outside the house so she can arrive at a non royal event she's going to get criticised plus I imagine those things take permits and organising which risk more people finding out?

I guess it's the lesser of 2 evils. It's photos like that that make you see why William and Harry have such a difficult relationship with the press!

beanaseireann · 01/02/2019 20:25

Kate looks lovely on her way to her Mums party. I like the shoes and dress.
Her hair is so lovely and swishy.

LaurenOrdering · 01/02/2019 20:28

It's actually a bit off for the press to be laying in wait as Kate goes to a private event, it's her Mum's birthday ffs! No wonder she looks a bit flustered. And yes I'm suppose we're part of the problem by clicking on the link.
Regarding Meghan, yes the sheer expense of her clothing is eye watering in the context of only wearing it once. However for all we know she maybe wears her 'engagement clothes' off duty & could also be hanging on to them to wear in future.
I would have no problem if Meghan was being given freebies to wear as long as it was made transparent said items were free or borrowed. Though allegedly taking cash to wear the clothes isn't right for a member of the Royal Family unless it's disclosed that a Royal is working for said designer as a muse. Wasn't it Lady Helen Windsor who worked as a brand ambassador or muse for Armani (a long time ago.)
I agree Meghan should wear more British labels as a boost to the British Fashion industry & economy.
Pre Harry Meghan has worn lots of outfits that have suited her & looked great. I presume she was styling herself then? If so Meghan should trust her own sense of style & should certainly bin Jessica Mulrooney as a fashion advisor. Don't mix pleasure with business.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 01/02/2019 20:30

Sorry I asked that. I’m not meaning why is she walking in the street, I mean, where is she going?

itswinetime · 01/02/2019 20:36

Sorry @DobbyTheHouseElk totally misunderstood the question 😳. As I'm sure you have now gathered to her mums birthday party. A completely non royal event. Which I'm guessing is why William didn't go try to keep the fuss to a minimum.

QueenOfTheAndals · 01/02/2019 20:37

To Pippa's house @DobbyTheHouseElk

OP posts:
DobbyTheHouseElk · 01/02/2019 20:38

That’s ok, I wasn’t explaining myself properly. Is it at a posh hotel. I thought they lived rurally.

Totally bad form to be hanging around at a private non royal event.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 01/02/2019 20:39

Oh, I see. Pippas house. Oh yes that makes sense.

WhitherShallIWander · 01/02/2019 20:45

You have to feel for the Middletons - thrust into the spotlight just because of ego their daughter fell in love with.

Quantumblue · 01/02/2019 20:50

Disappointed with Meghan's tone deaf outfit choices. Too expensive, not British and not well fitting. This detracts from the actual worthwhile effort of visiting the charity.
She would get so much credit for wearing some local High Street stuff. It wouldn't fit any worse either.

FlyMayBe · 01/02/2019 20:57

Quite sad that Meghan is taking such a bashing on this thread. Did a PP really describe her as short and dumpy???

Not nice.
