they are definitely a ginger tan but will look great with bare legs and denim shorts I reckon (even my white pins)

ilovecherries · 04/02/2019 15:33

Ah, I’m sorry about that, soy.

I ordered the Chesters yesterday, laska so they should be here tomorrow. I don’t have much luck with Hush shoes, and I sometimes need a 42 anyway, but at that price, def worth a look. Glad you like them.

I had a meeting this morning, wore the Hobbs purple jacket (from laska), black frances trousers and a charcoal grey fine knit jumper from Uniqlo. Back in my striped Amies and navy hoodie though!

Also ordered the raglan sweat top in Caribbean blue. All the summery colours I bought last spring are too big, and I really wore them a lot. Hope they do more colours this year. I loved both the french blue and the aqua. I’ve still got the burgundy (which I like and still fits but is more a winter colour) and the emerald green, which fits but not sure about the colour.

Thank you for the kind words.
I like the trainers laska and I got the sweatshirt in Caribbean in the sale (should have waited for the xtra 10% off) and it’s a lovely turquoise shade perfect for S/S I’m sure you’ll like it and a bargain.

SoyYo · 04/02/2019 16:20

My bargainous £24 heels that fit me so well and no flesh bursting out of them...a bit high compared to my usual flats and I did consider returning purely because I only wear heels occasionally but couldn’t bear to part with Wink

Soy love love the boots.
Laska the chester trainers are lovely, do they come wide?

dontcallmelen · 04/02/2019 17:00

Soy they actually look really comfy, love them as well.

trader21c · 04/02/2019 17:02

I have to say had a quick look on Ebay don’t really recognise anything from the sample sale ...

Ellapaella · 04/02/2019 17:10

@SoyYo lush boots ❤️😍
Sorry to hear you've had a difficult weekend. Sending positive vibes your way Thanks

Laska2Meryls · 04/02/2019 17:11

Chester trainers do come up fairly wide Len Am i going to enable you to break your no spend run? Wink

dontcallmelen · 04/02/2019 17:26

Laska I nearly caved 😂 but if they come up a bit wide they will be to big on me phew.

FuzzyPuffling · 04/02/2019 17:50

Love the Chester trainers but I have long narrow feet so anything wide will be like boats on me. (Personal pet hate... feet do not always get wider as they get longer. Shoe manufacturers please take note)

Laska2Meryls · 04/02/2019 17:57

in the interest of 'helping' Len and fuzzy my feet are size 5 and at the widest point (big toe joint straight across to top of small toe )are 4" . I think that is quite wide but not the full kipper !! I always wear a standard width D in Clarks .

(my Dm always bought us Clarks or Startrite when we were little . She was a stickler of looking after growing feet )

Laska2Meryls · 04/02/2019 17:58

bit I can rarely get into pretty little Italian shoes ..

dontcallmelen · 04/02/2019 18:04

Fuzzy I have tiny narrow feet, it’s a pain trying to find footwear that fits, I think like clothes sizing shoes etc are getting bigger as well.

dontcallmelen · 04/02/2019 18:07

Ooh Laska scuttles off to measure feet, my dm was the same do you remember the leather t bar sandals, my dm made me wear them when all my friends were wearing little heels.

twosoups1972 · 04/02/2019 18:09

Soy sorry to hear about your difficult weekend, hope things are a bit better today Flowers

dontcallmelen · 04/02/2019 18:09

Mine measure a few notches under three inches.

twosoups1972 · 04/02/2019 18:10

laska lovely trainers, they look great. I MUST NOT buy any more trainers!

soy the heels are so pretty

Laska2Meryls · 04/02/2019 18:11

yes! my mum even bought me some for my first term at Grammar school, I think I wore them once.. First day day I realised none of the other girls were wearing shoes like that .. She was so cross with me, but I refused and ended up buying cheap shoes out of my own pocket money ..

Laska2Meryls · 04/02/2019 18:14

ooh tiny feet Len , mine probably are the full Kipper then!!

but i have quite a big frame ( a gurt fine big Hampshire girl ) I bet I'd look like a giant next to you !! i've always wanted to be dainty

twosoups1972 · 04/02/2019 18:15

I spent most of today driving dd back up to school. There is only 2 weeks till half term so it's going to be a trial period to see how she copes. She's on medication now, sleeping/eating are better and she was keen to go back.

Just need to decide how her education is going to pan out. She's doing a BTEC AND 3 A Levels which does sound like an awfully lot of work, but the BTEC is mostly practical (dance), it's the A Levels that cause her most stress. Unfortunately her (tiny) school have said they can't offer two of her A Levels next year as there is no-one in the current Year 12 doing those subjects. There are many different options but dh and I both think she should finish the BTEC this year (which was why she went to this school in the first place) and ONE A Level. Then she might have to come back home and find another school to do the other two A Levels. It's a bit of a mess and dd is upset that things are difficult but it will work out I'm sure.
