A better view of Max’s dress from yesterday

Not a fan of those shoes, very Dolcis 1987!

Agree too about the flippy skirts: she's too tall for them and her ultra-thin legs don't look their best with a skirt this length. It's a big gangly and awkward looking.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 16/01/2019 12:32

I posted yesterday because it was the 51st birthday of Inaki Urdangarin the husband of Infanta Cristina of Spain. Today there was a photo of his mother visiting him in prison. I didn’t realise that last year, he was jailed for embezzlement for 5 years and 10 months.
Infanta Cristina asked Felipe to remove her title of Duchess of Palma.
It is also said that Juan Carlos abdication in 2014 was linked thé to corruption scandal. ( The issue of reputation, rather than any wrong doing).
This is the family about 12 years ago. I always thought she had beautiful children.

Personally, I love a flippy skirt, but maybe that's what I don't like on this suit. For me, a flippy skirt should be a bit more fun. Worn with a cute top or in the summer as something casual with sandals. I had a cute one years ago (younger, thinner, funkier) which was white with big black flowers on it and I used to wear it with lovely little white or black silky tops and a jacket for work or something a bit more casual with flip flops for casual wear. I always got compliments. But it was a very different vibe to this.

itswinetime · 16/01/2019 12:32

This is the suit I was thinking of turns out it's not that similar at all Grin

Thread is moving fast today!
However, I really liked @desertgirl’s link to some Princesses I had never heard of. Incredibly glamorous.

Also @bloominglovely, I remember that photo of Diana; was she asleep, or just looking down? ( remember she always looked down, and the press nicknamed her shy Di)...

Paradyning · 16/01/2019 12:38

Those shoes are very Dolcis pp!

QueenOfTheAndals · 16/01/2019 12:42

@CurlyWurlyTwirly Every time I see the Spanish princesses I think of that AbFab quote about them! Those kids are beautiful but also look a bit Midwich Cuckoo...

Not a fan of Kate's shoes, I maybe had a similar pair around 2002/03 and that's where they shall remain. The suit colour suits her but it's quite summery so not sure it looks best with black opaques.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 16/01/2019 12:45

I haven’t heard an abfab quoteabout them... do tell? What is Midwhich?
I presume you are talking about Elena and Cristina and not Leonor and Sofia...?

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 16/01/2019 12:53

Japanese poetry reading ceremony today. It looks like Edwardian England. I do feel like the Japanese Imperial court must be stultifying.

Look at the way the men sit separately from the women. Not noticed that before

QueenOfTheAndals · 16/01/2019 13:18

@CurlyWurlyTwirly It was referring to Felipe's sisters "little potato faces with brillo pad hair"!

The Midwich Cuckoos

The Japanese court is supposed to be the stuffiest in the world. I don't know how Masako can put up with it and I'm not surprised she's had MH issues. For a woman of her education to have to submit herself to that must be so stressful.

I dislike Kate’s suit, especially the colour.

user1457017537 · 16/01/2019 13:58

I much prefer Meghan’s style and I think she just makes everyone else’s style seem a little dated.

TSSDNCOP · 16/01/2019 14:02

Love the colour, the plaques and shoes. Really dislike the suit. Skirt to short and flippy for bracelet length sleeves.

Us tall girls love a bracelet sleeve, but the opposite length must be right.

QueenOfTheAndals · 16/01/2019 14:27

Meghan is back in her favourite neutrals today. She has a bit of a tan so the colours aren't washing her out.

I think the coat and shoes (and possibly the bag) are rewears, the dress is obviously new. I think she looks great - stylish and modern.

It's a good look on Meghan again today we may o my be 16 days in but so far Meghan has been having a great style year Wink

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 16/01/2019 14:50

Thé midwich cuckoos Shock!
Hmm, harsh description from Ab Fab; but can kind of see it about Elena.... Grin

Paradyning · 16/01/2019 14:51

Meg looks fab!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 16/01/2019 14:52

Meghan looks amazing; but not at all what I was expecting for a pet rescue centre! I thought she was going to be getting down on her hands and knees with the animals and was expecting something along the lines of what Kate wore yesterday....

AFifthOfKoolAid · 16/01/2019 14:55

I think it would be a bit mean to expect a heavily pregnant woman to get on her hands and knees with kitty litter or whatever Grin

BuzzLightyearsHoneyBun · 16/01/2019 14:56

Just read her dress is from H&M! I think she looks wonderful, love Meghan in lighter shades.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 16/01/2019 14:57

Camilla is at Aberdeen uni
Love her in lab coat & safety specs.
She and PC must be having an extended break in Scotland.
