In my slimmer days I would wear boots like that with skinny jeans. I think it works perfectly

I think Meghan looked stunning yesterday, glowing and happy...considering the scrutiny she’s under she must be made of sterner stuff to not let it effect her.
Kate looks lovely today too, though I think the jeans a little too tight. Her best feature has to be that beautiful mane of hair....I have proper hair envy!

Inaki Undagarin is 51 today. This pic popped up of the older Spanish Infantas at CP Victoria’s wedding in 2010.
The dresses are so vibrant and I love Elena’s Mini matador jacket. I’ve never thought of her as stylish but that outfit was fab!

Another one who loves Kate’s outfit today, although I prefer her long boots to the ones she wore today.

There's nothing wrong with tight trousers. However those have the unfortunate effect of making her legs look like frog's legs. A slimmer fit would have been more flattering in my opinion.

CP Victoria had a lot of crowned heads at her wedding.
3 of her attendants were future monarchs; Catharine Amalia of the Netherlands; Ingrid Alexandra of Sweden and Christian of Norway.

I didn't like the boots. They were also brand new looking. She should have roughed them up a bit!!

I see - according to Grazia - Meghan's dad is thinking of coming over to try and see her. He must be a total muppet to think that will help the situation. What a nightmare for her. I wonder if her mum can't talk some sense into him

Shame it wasn’t warm enough to open her jacket, the jumper underneath is a gorgeous colour to offset the green.

I had boots in like that with my skinnies today. Long boots can make you feel a bit knock-kneed.

mikado mine are by the bavarian hiking brand Meindl, they are buttery soft but well padded and super supportive. And cute and vintagey. And available on amazon if anyone wants the link. goes and pats hiking boots

Actually come to think of it, I could get my proper walkers out and go full Kate, albeit with a slightly more techno twist (mine are Salomons, they're a bit less vintage-style). I love the traditional looking ones, but I haven't found a pair that my feet love yet!

Kate looks so beautiful and joyful when she is interacting with children. Also I found this picture of Meghan in the purple dress without the coat. I thought I read, but may be mistaken, that we didn’t see the dress without the coat.

I love that jacket. It looks so comfy.

I hate those skinny jeggings. They a) do nothing for her figure as they make her look very narrow, and b) are incredibly inelegant. I don't want to see that much of her arse, tbh. I remember during the 2012 Olympics it was spray on jeggings a go go with Kate and you could practically see what she had for breakfast. I'm a bit disappointed apparently we haven't moved on at all.

How wonderful it would be if someone at one of these things wore a nice pair of wool trousers? I mean if you're going to do the huntin'/shootin'/fishin' look then do it properly.

MM is so beautiful but that dress certainly doesn’t fit. Looks like it last fitted several weeks ago. Oh dear. Can the Givenchy lady not send a fitter over?

@ElspethFlashman I couldn't believe she wore similar wedgie-style ones when she hiked up a mountain in India. They looked uncomfortable and thrush-inducing to me but if she's used to them then maybe it wasn't an issue!

@Harebellmeadow I was wondering the same. If a seamstress has altered the original dress with the empire cut and side split why not sort out the boob fit too!

Curly those pictures of CP Victoria's wedding are beautifully normal looking, if you ignore the tiaras! Seeing all of the royals crammed into one shot - many of them struggling to be seen - made me think of how unusual it must be not to be the focus of a picture for many of them. Would that make a pleasant change? I suppose it's like anyone's wedding, with family coming together, but maybe more jostling over who's crown is shiniest?

It's been yonks since I've seen wool trousers - any decent links? It puts me in mind of good quality corporate workwear.

Agree that the pic of CPV is very normal-with-tiaras- looking. Interesting that they chose the background of the (ginormous) minimalist hallway/corridor rather than a sumptuous salon or ballroom, or other gilted state function room, which adds to the striving for normality. Such a lovely couple, hope they will live happily ever after.
