...on a man? Not little pants but big tight white boxer shorts. I feel like i'm being unreasonable but I've never encountered this before Grin

Can’t imagine they’d stay white very long tbh, so yes..

topcat2014 · 13/01/2019 08:42

As opposed to what?

asking for a friend

areyoubeingserviced · 13/01/2019 08:43

I refuse to buy my dh white boxer shorts

rankoutsider · 13/01/2019 08:45

I don't know why it's bothering me so much. It was a shockShock

I think a nice dark colour is more usual

Like this? Not off putting.

MsJaneAusten · 13/01/2019 08:52

Oh, did my picture not post?

not offputting

Hedgehogblues · 13/01/2019 08:53

I refuse to buy my dh white boxer shorts

So do I. He's a grown up, he chooses and buys his own underwear

GobblersKnob · 13/01/2019 08:53

White Calvins used to be all the thing.

rankoutsider · 13/01/2019 08:56

@GobblersKnob. Yes it seems very 90's

If he looked like David Beckham, I wouldn't be offput by 70s style beige y-fronts with contrast piping. Back in the world of ordinary middle-aged men of the type likely to sleep with me, (it's a small pool), new, clean, sharp white and well-fitting would be fine, but any hint of sag, greying, or any other indication that he doesn't take absolute care of himself and his grundies, would be a bit ardour-dampening. Black underwear is more forgiving.

rankoutsider · 13/01/2019 08:57

@MsJaneAusten. Not really comparable Grin

Ive just thrown away DPs Tommy Hilfiger tighty-whiteys while he is away for a couple of days......... Controlling - yes, but the eye-bleach was no longer working Smile

Auntiepatricia · 13/01/2019 08:58

I love a pair of white y fronts! So weird.

rankoutsider · 13/01/2019 09:00

Thankyou @ASqueakingInTheShrubbery. You said it better than me.

ShatnersBassoon · 13/01/2019 09:04

Seriously, I wouldn't care as long as they were clean and didn't have his name tape stitched into them.

rankoutsider · 13/01/2019 09:09

Yes, I think they remind me of children or very elderly men.

OP posts:
ourkidmolly · 13/01/2019 09:11

Really? Think they look good skin tight. Not big billowing shorts but yes especially with dark skin. Sexy.

fiorentina · 13/01/2019 09:41

As long as they were still v white I guess I wouldn’t care. Greying or even worse, stained would be totally off-putting!

rankoutsider · 13/01/2019 10:13

Maybe I am being too fussy?

OP posts:
LooksBetterWithAFilter · 13/01/2019 10:39

I am very 90’s Grin but I think dh looks really hot in right white boxers. He only has one or two pairs the rest are mostly black. He is very slim and physically fit though so it helps but they don’t remind me of children in the slightest in fact I don’t think either of my sons own or have particularly owned white boxers or pants they have all been colours or character ones and teen ds prefers black now.

MaryLennoxsScowl · 13/01/2019 10:39

Be fussy! It’s a sign that you’re not that into him, or you’d have looked past it.

AllPizzasGreatAndSmall · 13/01/2019 11:09

Can you post a picture of the offending style as I am struggling with what is wrong aesthetically with white boxers.

I've always steered away/discouraged them from buying white for my sons for practical reasons, but I never would have thought to warn them that they would be seen as unattractive.

The only thing I can think of is if they are cheap, thin and too small so everything is very visible?

AllPizzasGreatAndSmall · 13/01/2019 11:10

I don't think it is very 90s - what do you think young men currently wear?

TornFromTheInside · 13/01/2019 11:17

I will stick with my Star Wars Y-fronts. Keeping women at bay since 1977.
