Would you find white underpants off putting?

...on a man? Not little pants but big tight white boxer shorts. I feel like i'm being unreasonable but I've never encountered this before

They are ok as long as well fitted and still white. Saying that I don’t think DH has any in white. Loose boxer styles are just a big no from me.

It has literally never occurred to me that tight white boxers could be "offputting". They are no more off-putting than tight black boxers to me and in fact I think they perfect in spring/summer on a man with a bit of a tan/darker skin tone.

I'd find the body off-putting before I found the boxers off-putting (in any shade/pattern!) My DH has all sorts of tight boxer pants (Armani, Polo, Calvins etc) in black, white, grey and some patterned (I don't know which brand those ones are. Happy Socks maybe). He looks great in them all and I'd never find any off-putting. But then, we are married so if you were talking first date type scenario maybeeeee I would expect to find darker (or "more evening-y") pants

I don’t like white. I don’t wear white knickers myself; reminds me of schooldays. Likewise I prefer other colours on a man. But providing they were clean and smart it wouldn’t be a deal breaker. Contents more important. Neat and tidy!

Nooo, I dated two extremely sexy men (not at the same time) who always wore white boxers and there was no complaints from me.

DP always wears novelty/pattered boxers and I love them on him

Let’s be honest, if you truly find a guy attractive, especially sexually, you would not care what he wore so long as it was clean.

Mine could wear a frigging nappy and whilst I might laugh, he’d still look delicious.

I don't think I would care too much about white boxers, but as others have said they would have to be pristeen without a hint of grey.

DH insists on wearing those loose non stretch cotton boxers (usually with a checked pattern) from Tesco F&F, which are always sticking out the top of his trousers, and I'm still with him after 15 years, so I guess that means I'm not too bothered about underwear.

I once bought him some tight boxers from Next but they were 'too tight' and he likes to 'hang more loose' apparently. I feel like loose ones would just piss me off trying to tuck them into trousers etc.

DH always wears these, I liked them, though it's been 18 years and I can't honestly remember my initial reaction to them...

DH doesn't like white boxers, and will only buy sets with coloured or patterned ones. I don't mind white, but it's his bum, he gets to choose. DS doesn't like white either, he prefers black or navy.

It's what's underneath that matters

Op I don't think YABU exactly, if they remind you of old men and children that's fair enough, we all have stuff that tweaks memories.

Is there a nice way to say 'Look, this isn't anything to do with you but I have some distracting memories of pants like yours, nothing unpleasant exactly but a bit un-hot. Is it intrusive to ask if you can try something different?' I'd want to know if the fragrance I was wearing was the same as his ex or mum; it doesn't mean anyone is wrong, bad or backward.

I don't think I have a special pants preference, though I do think the skimpy briefs dh wears as his 'summer pants' look comically Speedo-esque. Equally he has suggested that my beige M&S pants which make my bum look like a ship in full sail are rather unappealing. In my defense they're good under clothes and I have various gusset-area issues that mean they are the best choice for me. We accept that undergarments serve multiple purposes and may not always be useful as well as attractive.

That said, if I was trying to seduce him, I'd want to know he didn't find my smalls repulsive no matter how eager he was to unwrap the package.

If dh wore white boxers they’d be scarily close to his skin colour which wouldn’t be a great look plus I’d probably be blinded by the all-over white-light when he took his clothes off

I like tight trunk type boxers

If they were baggy short type then I don't think i'd be a fan of the whiteness
