Holy Grail Lip Balm?

I'm pretty picky about my lip balms and wondering if anyone here is the same. I go through a lip balm every week/week and a half, which is a bit appaling I know, but I'm obsessed with my lips getting too dry.

I noticed that the ones I was getting were drying out my lips a lot though too so I switched to organic lip balms. Much better now. I got mine off Amazon I think they were just under a tenner for 6 of them. (Sky Organics, Organic beeswax lip balms). Just ran out today though so I just got some Burts Bees lip balms until I order some more (also very good, but comparatively I think the 6 pack is better value). Would Like to try a different brand though, just of curiosity.

Do you have a favourite lip balm/balms? Would like to hear about them Smile

Glossier's Balm Dotcom is my go-to for everything. The menthol one is lush.

Superdrug Vitamin E Superbalm

Dd and I made lip balm last week and it's gorgeous. Beeswax, cocoa butter, sweet almond oil, strawberry food flavouring and edible glitter (last two were dd's picks Grin).

@MotherForkinShirtBalls Really like your username. I love 'The Good Place' 😊.

I've thought about making my own lip balm actually. Usually I prefer them in the twist tubes but then i could make a really kick ass lip balm with all my favourite ingredients. All I need to do now is find a good lip balm recipe, well and ingredients.

Thank you everybody above that comment by the way. I'm listing them all!

We used this recipe. I got all the ingredients from a local supplier, enough to make a load of lotion bars too Wink. Apparently it's easy to pour into the tubes, lots of other recipes online talk about filling them.

www.boots.com/okeeffes-lip-repair-unscented-10237718 This for day to day use.

www.amazon.co.uk/Blistex-MedPlus-Repair-Round-Protection/dp/B00HVEHIAS?th=1&tag=mumsnetforum-21 this when the weather changes and my lips get ridiculously chapped. Peels all the chapped skin off and sorts them out in a day. Miracle stuff.

www.boots.com/blistex-intensive-moisturiser-hydrating-lip-cream-spf10-5g-10003619 and this for overnight.

@MotherForkinShirtBalls Thanks for the recipe, saves me from having to go look for it. Much appreciated 😊.

@LittleLlamaontheduskyroad I used to live blistex stuff, especially the intensive moisturiser and the cold sore cream (I never really get cold sores but they just transform your lips overnight). The intensive moisturiser hasn't been nearly as helpful this time around. Maybe the cold sore cream will work. I remember it being a miracle worker for dry lips. I've been thinking of getting the ones you've listed but have been hesitant. Maybe they will be good since I've tried them before.
