Link to previous thread.

And once again, let's keep this good-spirited. Spiteful comments are about as welcome as Fergie at Prince Philip's birthday party!

Sounds like a total bitch

Oh, come on. Go and start yet another 'how dare that foreigner blah blah blah' thread if you want to accuse an absolute stranger of crimes you've made up in your head.

Antigonads · 11/12/2018 18:17

Gosh. I’m surprised that posters are relating conversations from inside the palace. It will be in the Mail tomorrow.

CrookedMe · 11/12/2018 18:18

I agree Year

With the very best will in the world we have no idea that anyone on here is who they say they are or have the insider knowledge they claim.

queenofarles · 11/12/2018 18:32

DoC looks elegant , I like the dress, I like the fact that it's an LK B dress , they need that sort of support,
It's such a nice gesture of them to visit the Evelina , DS and DD both received treatment there, wonderful hospital with excellent staff.
DoC got a lot of training for her role as a member of the RF and it really shows . she is perfect . I wouldn't call her bland , I suspect Carole played a role in guiding her too.
I didn't listen to MM speech till now, the part where she talks about sharing values with the designer is so unnecessary, not against CWK I was a huge fan of her at chloe, no so much at Givenchy, I can't help but think the only reason she was awarded was due to her association with MM wedding dress , the ironic thing is none of the givenchy clothes worked for MM in the past. the one shoulder dress is a first

Paradyning · 11/12/2018 18:45

Oh isn't LK Bennet? I thought it looked like one

Want2bSupermum · 11/12/2018 18:46

anti It's already been reported and has been in the DM. My brother wasn't the only person she spoke to like that.

Bling She needs to learn because the RF have a role and she is expected to conform. It's very important she doesn't have an opinion which is shared publicly because doing so will most probably be seen as political at some point in the future.

Holding her bump, who cares. Sharing an opinion, very shortsighted and goes against how every other member of the RF operates.

UrsulaPandress · 11/12/2018 18:52

Did she share an opinion?

SenecaFalls · 11/12/2018 18:58

Not true. Most of the Givenchy that Meghan has worn has looked very good on her.

PinguDance · 11/12/2018 19:00

Want2bSuperman... so can you explain Prince Phillip with your privileged intel about the going’s on at Kensington Palace? Or that time Prince Harry dressed as a Nazi? Or do you mean ‘how female members of the Royal Family operate’. Prince Charles literally tired to influence policy with his letters to MPs. Really don’t think your comments hold up to much scrutiny.

I like both Kate and Meghan - I think it’s quite exciting that now Harry is married etc they can do their own thing.

Want2bSupermum · 11/12/2018 19:04

ursula when you say you share values you are saying you share the same opinion because values are what shape a persons opinion. It's not something I would expect someone from the RF to say. It was quite short sighted to say it IMO.

Want2bSupermum · 11/12/2018 19:11

That time PH dressed as a Nazi....when going to a fancy dress party where the theme was evil people? That time?

As for Prince Philip, he is 97/98 years old. He is known for his gaffs and no one thought they were appropriate. I thought the letters from prince Charles were supposed to be private letters and they were exposed because he wasn't following protocol and were not appropriate.

Disfordarkchocolate · 11/12/2018 19:14

I much prefer this thread when it focuses on clothes etc and light-hearted gossip.

Hairydilemma · 11/12/2018 19:19

Disfordarkchocolate, me too.

There’s a lovely photo on BBC News where Kate’s really laughing (at something William’s saying, it looks like). They seem to really get on and amuse each other, which is lucky as he seems like the king of the dad jokes - good that she appreciates them!

itswinetime · 11/12/2018 19:19

Two women have different personalities and so wear different styles of clothes hold the front page! Kate has a style it's not all to my taste but it's her the green dress isn't may favourite but as has been said before Kate says a lot through her outfits this was clearly a way of trying to keep attention on the issues as a PP said.

Meghan was at a glamorous award ceremony and drsssed the part. I don't know her and I don't know what is is like to be a royal but I'm sure we can all see that it's an adjustment she needs some time so she can learn what is and isn't ok without every past issues being brought up and gone over constantly. And even then she won't be like Kate same as Princess Margret and the Queen, Charles and Andrew, William and Harry the list goes on.

This👆🏻
Sooo many people in the fashion industry got into so much scrutiny , some even lost their job because of thier opinions or something as silly as sharing an insta story.
, If there to be the slightest association with a member of the RF then it would be blown out proportion.

itswinetime · 11/12/2018 19:24

In other news Eugenie has been out and about. I'm not keen on the leather but i like people trying something different.

One is a reception at BP for the Tate young patrons

The other is a double date with candy Crawford

(Ps sorry if they have already been shared I have been away and so may have misssed some bits)

Puzzledandpissedoff · 11/12/2018 19:25

I agree, Supermum, though it's also true that opinion-giving can depend on the situation

For me it's one thing if a RF member's at a charity event and says such-and-such matters in support of their cause, quite another if they start spouting off on their own behalf

It's a subtle distinction perhaps, and nobody's saying they shouldn't have personal opinions - just that voicing them doesn't always sit well with their unelected role

Want2bSupermum · 11/12/2018 19:29

And yes DofS looked fab in the dress. It was something that really worked for her and the velvet look of the material really added a lot to the style. It somehow softened the harshness of the black. Quite clever really because all black, especially when a matte material, can look harsh.

I liked her hair being pulled back. It really suited her.

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 11/12/2018 19:30

I like Kate’s dress I’m rather partial to a bit of Agatha Christie murder mystery chic! I think that style and era really suits her. However the shoes, oh my eyes! I really dislike them, she must have that style in every colour, they are so dated looking, her toes look squished in them almost like they are too small.

Clionba · 11/12/2018 19:38

I agree BettyBoo, I love Kate's dress and that style, but I agree about the shoes! It would be nice if she varied the shoes a bit. She does love a high court.

Paradyning · 11/12/2018 19:46

Eugenie looks great! Thanks for posting.

There's another tiara do in Sweden tonight!

pallisers · 11/12/2018 19:53

I can't imagine living my life where the people who are there to support me tell stories to their families who then post them on the biggest women's website in the UK. Not sure what post or rank or job Supermum's brother has/had but, frankly, I think my cleaner has a better sense of discretion. Some major failure of training for the job there.

IPromiseIWontBeNaughty · 11/12/2018 19:55

Eugenie is blossoming - if that’s even a word Grin

itswinetime · 11/12/2018 20:03

I think these are tonight's pictures out of Sweden but I maybe wrong
gowns and jewels. Instagram link

Clionba · 11/12/2018 20:18

Great pics itswinetime! Wowsers, CPV looks stunning in that red dress. The cut and colour are amazing. I also love the orange/red/pink combo on Queen Silvia. It's nice to have colour, especially when it's so dark and cold outside!!
