Link to previous thread.

And once again, let's keep this good-spirited. Spiteful comments are about as welcome as Fergie at Prince Philip's birthday party!

Thanks for that retrospective @Becles
I liked Everything Meghan wore up until her pregnancy started to show.
Then apart from the Oscar de la Renta & thé Gabriella Hearst, I thought they were ill fitting and I particularly dislike her striped outfits.
I suspect she won’t wear anything too revealing on Xmas day, perhaps a trapeze or a Cape?
As pp said there are going to be so many photographers on Xmas day.
I wonder whether Doria will come or not.
Will she go to Church with the Royals?

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 09/12/2018 09:14

I thought antipodean houses tend to be on one level as there is more land available.
Lots of my friends in France have big open plan houses with all the bedrooms at one end. I like to go upstairs to bed though!

Spudlet · 09/12/2018 09:20

I agree Curly, I think MM has really struggled with dressing her changing figure - which let's face it, is something a lot of us can identify with, without the additional factor of taking on a new role in the public eye. I know I found it easier once I had a proper obvious bump as opposed to feeling just a bit fat - wonder if she will too?

IPromiseIWontBeNaughty · 09/12/2018 09:29

The Queen needs to knock all this gossip on the head & order a joint photo call at some madeup event for the Sussexes & Cambridges.

ViragoKnows · 09/12/2018 09:35

I don't think a photo call would convince anyone at this point.

AhoyDelBoy · 09/12/2018 09:44

Yes Curly two story houses are no way near as common. I’ve never lived in one Grin

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 09/12/2018 09:46

I think Meghan is going to have to go thé Sophie Wessex route.
Head down; do her work.
Once the baby is born, probably April? It will all be forgotten.
We’re all so used to seeing William & Harry as inseparable that a «rift» between them is a shock.
The Sussexes will settle into their new place at a Frogmore then it will be business as usual.
I wonder if Meghan will have the baby at the Lindomwing if she’s in Windsor.
I suspect however Harry will be keen to maintain the link with his mother and have his child be born in the same room as him....

IPromiseIWontBeNaughty · 09/12/2018 09:55

Can’t be pleasant though.

AhoyDelBoy · 09/12/2018 10:37

I’ve just found a new Instagram page I like so thought I would share Smile click here for a nice little slideshow of some of CP Mary’s looks (I’m now a fan of hers thanks to this thread, I never really looked at the European royals before). Also Prince Carl Philip because 🔥 Shock

AhoyDelBoy · 09/12/2018 10:38

I should be joining you all on the Crown thread, just need to sign up to Netflix Smile

Paradyning · 09/12/2018 10:47

@AhoyDelBoy the pelmets, the curtains, the style of fireplace, the fake regency furniture. The dusters around the bottom of the beds. The kitchen handles. I'm getting picky as you asked but overall it is not to my taste! Although if someone gifted me a 2mil house in Chelsea I wouldn't grumble.

ElspethFlashman · 09/12/2018 10:50

I have to say I'd have cut Thomas out too. Dreadful behaviour. However he really needs some contact now, by somebody. Even if it is the most careful and vague letter designed to be utterly inoffensive if shown to the press. "We sincerely hope you are keeping well" sort of thing. Just something to shut him the fuck up.

A Christmas card would be a handy solution.

I literally gasped when he referenced the Nazi costume though. Good god.

AhoyDelBoy · 09/12/2018 10:53

Yes I don’t think many would! I agree with everything you’ve mentioned but that’s mostly furnishings (except both bathrooms are shower over bath which I don’t like) so could be easily changed. At least it doesn’t have garish feature walls Grin

AhoyDelBoy · 09/12/2018 10:54

Which seem very popular on the UK property shows Grin

QueenOfTheAndals · 09/12/2018 11:01

@Paradyning I agree re Kate and Pippa's house. It looks like it belonged to a pair of elderly ladies, not two women in the twenties!

QueenOfTheAndals · 09/12/2018 11:02

*their twenties.

Could I see a link to these photos of the apartment mentioned? I am trying to catch up on the these threads and feeling a bit overwhelmed! Can't find what the references are about.
Agree about the innocuous letter or card needed for Thomas Markle. I think MM and H are thinking he will just go away. He isn't going to, clearly.
The whole thing has been grossly mishandled. Harry should have met his father in law prior to the engagement announcement. He should have shown some respect and tried to get to know him a bit. Thomas should have been brought over well prior to the wedding, not expected to fly in a couple of days before to face meeting the RF for the first time and attend a massive televised event which was going to be highly emotional. Especially since he was in poor health anyway.

They need a really good PR person to help them navigate all this mess. It is getting completely ridiculous. Thomas is obviously angry and hurt. He has behaved badly, but he is the only father she has, and she can't just cut him out without a word. It's just going to get worse and worse.

Clionba · 09/12/2018 11:07

I like that flat. I don't think it looks old lady.
I was reading the latest Thomas Markle saga. He was talking about Meghan's wedding on the beach in Jamaica, and the goodie bag containing marijuana..... How very different from St George's Chapel, Windsor!! Grin

owlshooting · 09/12/2018 11:09

Ah, found it! I like it!

owlshooting · 09/12/2018 11:10

A two million flat though, in your twenties? I presume it was bought for them.

YearOfYouRemember · 09/12/2018 11:17

Probably didn't cost £2million fifteen years ago.

QueenOfTheAndals · 09/12/2018 11:18

Oh of course, it's been well-publicised that Carole and Mike bought the flat for them. I'm not sure Kate has ever had to pay for any big purchases herself!

ViragoKnows · 09/12/2018 11:19

I think i remember it was reported that Mr & Mrs Middleton paid £750k dor it. All three children have lived in it. (Nice work if tou can get it.)

ViragoKnows · 09/12/2018 11:19

I wonder where James M is moving to.

LadyCassandra · 09/12/2018 11:23

owlshooting I disagree. We don’t know why she cut him out. He is probably a toxic parent. Why should Harry have met him if she wasn’t speaking to him? On this forum every day people are encouraged to go NC with toxic parents. Thomas Markle has proven to be toxic in his behaviour since, going to the press at every opportunity to sell another titbit.
MM is probably relieved there is an ocean between them!
