Oh cherries that colour is totally fabulous, go for it.

DavetheCat2001 · 25/11/2018 09:46

Love that colour cherries..go for it.

I've just started a thread actually as I have asked my hairdresser for the attached when I go in next week.

I have ombre hair at the moment, v dark at roots and then lightening into blond at the ends.

My inner-goth/indie kid from the 90's is struggling to rise up again, so thought this might be fun for the Christmas period and it can wash out if I look like a twat.

I don't think my alternative streak will ever really be subdued..even though my mother told me at the age of about 20 that I would forever regret my nose ring/multiple ear piercings and 10hole doc marten boots..I'm still there with a few extra tatts I picked up along the way!

Morning all..
Bit of a hangover today 😖 Catching up on your posts with a cuppa in bed.
Dave I love that hair colour, it'll look fab. I'd love to do something similar myself but my hair has been bleached so much and has so much red undertone that I'm frightened to try anything for fear the colour would turn out completely different. I really love the pink and rose gold look though. Also love the rainbow hair I've seen on people recently.

Soups your Zara dress is lovely.

I've just been browsing another thread and someone has posted a link to the most gorgeous Toast fairisle jumper and now I'm trying to think of all the things I might sacrifice so I can treat myself to it! At £155 though I think I have to accept its out of my league.

DavetheCat2001 · 25/11/2018 10:10

Morning ella!

Sounds like you had a good night! How did the TU dress go down? Bet you looked gorge!

I had a few 🍷yesterday too at my friends house. Had a lovely afternoon with our kids crafting and making cupcakes whilst we caught up and had a few cheeky glasses of vino!

Tired today though as neither if my DC's have been sleeping well recently abd OH has been away this w/e so been flying solo! Looking forward to him getting home later.. i will be firmly handing over the reigns to him! 😃👍

Ellapaella · 25/11/2018 10:41

Ooh your afternoon baking and drinking sounds lovely Dave. I love starting to get into the Christmas spirit with the DC - can't wait to get the decorations up next weekend.
I'm a little worse for wear but more tired than actually ill, I'll blow off the cobwebs by taking the dog out for a long walk.
The TU dress was great, quite a few people were asking about it and couldn't believe it was only £16 (although I am a bit famous amongst my friends for loving a bargain!).
Yesterday in the supermarket 3 random people asked me about my Wallis jumper. I haven't been asked about anything since I first wore my star fray jeans so 3 times in one shopping trip was impressive 😆
Although when one lady asked me how much it was and I told her it was reduced to £30 she said she wouldn't have paid full price for it 😁 which made me giggle.
Have a great Sunday everyone.

Laska2Meryls · 25/11/2018 10:46

There is nothing I actually want from Monsoon but have just picked up this tip from another thread

There is 25% off at Monsoon for Black Friday but code NOVCS20 stacks for a further 20% off.
so enjoy!

Ellapaella · 25/11/2018 11:18

Wow thanks Laska! Off for a browse

enabledlurker · 25/11/2018 11:33

Hi Hushistas,25% off brought me back here, love the photos and advice, thank you all.

Laska.I am so sorry for your lossFlowers.

That hair is fab Cherries

I went mad and ordered loads yesterday including this lovely jacket

Ellapaella · 25/11/2018 12:09

@enabledlurker that is exactly the same colour as my faux fur coat I'm getting for Christmas.
I can't wait to wear it.

FlindersKeepers · 25/11/2018 12:57

Hi, I don't often post on this thread, but seeing as I was in the Mayfair pop-up last Wednesday (and JL Westfield on Thursday), thought that I'd report back.
The pop-up didn't have that much stock left, but the staff were very nice especially as I didn't look very Hush as was in London on a course ha. I'm a good size 12 cough and 165cm/5ft 4. Here goes.
Rock & Roll sweater, this is surprisingly thick and heavy, is about half a size roomy so normal Hush. As I live towards the Alps, we wear big down coats and have insulated, warm buildings, so I couldn't work out when I would wear this. Not bought.
Rosaline jumper fitted neatly in S, has both black and navy stripes so easy to combine. A little boxy. Metallic thread a bit scratchy but will improve with washing. Super overpriced, bought online as discount helped!
Natalya jumpsuit, this was something that I tried for a laugh thinking it would never work. It is exactly something that I'd never buy online due to the international shipping and return costs. Well well well, this thing eats kilos. Length ok with heels. Size 12 fits neatly, skimming the lower body. Can be washed, back pocket only, did not need ironing after flight home. Bought.
Vivian jumpsuit, the store girls offered me this, same size. Cut around bum and stomach much narrower than Natalya, very boxy shape. Did not buy.
Onyx jacket in midnight, are these meant to close or just hang open? Beautiful leather, great dark navy (J Crew, Uniqlo navy), closing issue confused me. Did not buy, maybe sale?
Phoenix top this is quite straight cut, so a bit tent like from my boobs, the green is pretty, but the cut wasn't for me. Did not buy.
JL were telling customers was items were going to be discounted the next day btw, so worth asking if you're in store.
Cheers!

SoyYo · 25/11/2018 13:34

Flinders thank you for the post, I’m actually same shape/height as you (well 1 cm shorter) and have ordered the RocknRoll jumper and waiting for it to arrive (I do actually need a warm jumper). Interesting on the jumpsuit which I really liked but thought would be too long and was put off by having to wear a strapless bra due to the cutaway top, having said that if it “eats pounds” may well be worth a try...
FYI they have online 25% discount online till tomorrow if you had changed your mind about the leather jacket.

laska had a look online at the Monsoon Black Friday offer but trying not to be tempted by yet another coat, dress or more sequins! 😱

NotAnActualSheep · 25/11/2018 13:38

That's a gorgeous colour cherries. I think you should go for that! I was only joking about the mid-life crisis. I've honestly never seen anyone with bright colored hair that I've thought looked anything other than great! Especially in us "older" ones Grin as it is obviously something that fits with our style/ outlook and will have been a really considered decision! I just have this residual thing in my head that if I tried it I would look like I was trying to channel my inner environmental protester and not very professional. Which is stupid, as there is nothing unprofessional about hair fgs!

I love the idea of coloured streaks len - that is the thing I was aiming for, but I was trying to do it without bleaching, so it just took over some highlights...but not all. Dave's rose gold ombre effect looks wonderful too! I think you've all encouraged me to try it again this afternoon and sod the meeting with a QC on Tuesday

Cups of tea and soothing music to ella and Dave Smile. DH was a bit sheepish this morning and is going to do the birthday party run this afternoon...hence why I have time to sit in my pants with hair dye...

I love the stripey Rosalie jumper finders. Not noticed that before...will keep an eye on that maybe in the post Christmas sales. I'm utterly spent out now!

NotAnActualSheep · 25/11/2018 13:40

Sorry. flinders not finders... flipping auto correct...

dontcallmelen · 25/11/2018 15:20

Dave love the hair pic posted, my dd had something very similar looked great, hope you get a rest this afternoon.
Not go for it, my hairdresser paints mine on as well sort of have them underneath & a few round the sides & under the fringe.
Soy & Laska I will now be perusing sequins all afternoon😳
Flinders just goes to show, sometimes definitely worth trying stuff on the jumpsuit sounds like a really good buy.
Ella definitely feet up & tea.

dontcallmelen · 25/11/2018 15:24

enabled fab jacket & lovely colour.

enabledlurker · 25/11/2018 15:55

Len , Ella it is very festive but right out of my comfort zoneSmile

AFingerofFudge · 25/11/2018 16:32

Well I have just got in from work and have collected my John Lewis Hush order from my local Waitrose. I have been very restrained (mostly because I've spent loads of money on Christmas presents) and so I just bought (at 25%iff) the light blue velour sweater and the red coloured raglan top. Am saving myself for the sales!

dontcallmelen · 25/11/2018 16:40

I may have just ordered a sequin jacket from Monsoon & dresses for dgd, oh dear clearly my sparkly addiction is not cured send help😂

NotAnActualSheep · 25/11/2018 16:42

Finally managed to open the hush package of sale thingies. The L/L top and vest are great. Very good quality and I'll get a lot of use out of them. Does anyone who has them know if they ate likely to stretch or shrink over time? I think the S is a better fit overall, but there wouldn't need for there to be much shrinkage over the bum for it to ride up, annoyingly. I think the m is just a bit too big on the shoulders and waist.

The peek a boo top is fine, but nothing particularly special for me. I love the lace on the bottom, but it is quite a short top, so not sure very much would show the lace. And it doesn't really show as much as I was hoping under the Paloma neck. I think it would have to sit further forward to show more lace and I don't have the ballast. Ah well..worth a go.

The Paloma I do like though. It's nice and soft and draped...sort of like a knitted wide top. Worn in the photo with the sainsburys cord skirt Smile. But not really sure I need another jumper... I'll sleep on it I think. ( the decision..not the jumper..they wouldn't take it back then...)

Hair is brewing.

Hush Christmas - its a slipper-y slope and a ding dong meryl-y on high :)!
NotAnActualSheep · 25/11/2018 16:49

Lol len! Maybe we need to start a recovery group. Sparkles Anonymous?! Jacket sounds lovely.

I was very tempted by the red/ wine raglan fudge. Let me know what you think. It is a really good price with the discount. I have a pale blue one I got in the summer sale that is nice, but I didn't wear as much as I thought I would. But I think that is cos it went from being boiling to freezing here without much in between, and the pale colour doesn't feel right in the cold... Deep red, though...

dontcallmelen · 25/11/2018 17:41

Lol Not jumper does look really good on you, hope the hair brews up well.

ilovecherries · 25/11/2018 18:17

not, I’ve worn my raglan l/s tees a lot. They are tee shirt rather than sweatshirt material, but a sweatshirt design, if that makes sense. I’ve found they wash and hold their colour well. I like them with a vest peeking out the bottom.

SoyYo · 25/11/2018 18:54

not the Paloma looks great on you! Looking forward to seeing mine and hope the hair dying is a success. I do like my peekaboo top but it is expensive for what it is really.

melen is it the silver sequin jacket? It does look rather fabulous and shiny shiny Grin

Went to Sainsbury’s and picked this up while there in gray rather than white which with my £9 off weekly shop voucher came to the princely sum of £4 it’s lovely and soft and unusual cut so it’ll be nice for homeworking days Smile

The grey is a really good dark grey too

Ellapaella · 25/11/2018 19:04

Love the paloma sheep and also loving the skirt, lovely combo.

dontcallmelen · 25/11/2018 19:08
