Just wondering what others think of the cape sleeve dress on the hush website. I have been invited out on xmas day and was considering this. Not sure whether the sleeves are naff or elegant Opinions please :) I love it styled with the floral scarf. I also love the bright red wool dress. Worse?, better? crap?
I always feel a bit dowdy when I go to my dh families get togethers so would like to feel comfortable and elegant!!

Ella i meant to comment on the jacket (I saw you'd posted earlier when I was a work and sneaking a look on my phone!). I do like it on you and it looks good. Colour is fab and suits your skin tone I think. . What is the problem with it being not too even? It looks good in the photos.. ,

One thing i do think though , is if you see a fault with something when you first try it on, then you will see that fault forever...

This one Never?.. I love it !! If I had a party to go to I'd buy it .. I do think its elegant, but needs. a scarf (the one it is shown with is great or perhaps the devore leopard one ) , or a lovely pendant ( the diamante double star would look good also )

Yes that's it [Not that I need more dresses!!] Its not too pricey either. I really like it with the floral fringed scarf. My only concern is, it may be too dressy? I would dress it down with my hush ankle boots. I am not going to a party but to someones house for Christmas buffet with quite a few of dh family.

yes boots and opaques would tone it down ..

What else would you wear if you didnt have it? Would the sparkly Ivy from last year be too dressy? or the black/ gold one from this year? if not , then that wont be either IMO

I love the dress Never - it is dressy but in an elegant and very classy way. I'd say it's perfect for the occasion. I don't think you'd need to dress it down.

Laska - I don't think it shows well in the pics but the jacket just seems to hang slightly higher to the left for some reason. I wonder if I am trying to talk myself out of keeping it but truth be told it was a bargain so I'll probably just keep anyway! I'm too fussy.

Yes, I could easily wear the gold ivy as its only sparkly in certain light. I was just pondering over that dress. Thanks for the positive feedback. I may just order it tomorrow. Will sleep on it.

I love that dress never. Was really tempted by it when it first came onto the website, but thought I wouldn't have much opportunity to wear. I live the sleeves ( though may make wearing anything over it a bit tricky). It looks very versatile, though, and will be perfect with opaques/ boots, or dressed up with heels. Definitely worth a try... Having said that, the red one is lovely too and possibly better quality material. But more expensive, obv! #nothelpful. I think either would be perfect, but your sparkly dress would also look lovely I think.

30% off selected Christmas outfits [festive favourites] @Laska, they have the open star necklace. In the end I ordered the felix dress in red. I really love my grey one. Worn it quite a lot. Love the Christmassy red, its wool and warm and I have ordered the constellation earrings [ had my eye on these] that were reduced and the necklace to match. I guess the reason I ordered it over the black dess with the cape sleeves is that total practicality. I will wear it more. Also as @not said, it would be tricky to wear anything over it and I would end up freezing. So my plan is to wear thick black tights, ankle boots, gorgeous red dress earrings and necklace to match - job done!

I also suit that true red colour and will liven up my complexion ha ha...

Also, if anyone is up they have the wide jersey glitter top in a small left and reduced. I was tempted but exercised self control!!

Oh and with regards to the felix dress, I am totally in love with the softness of the fabric. Only bummer is the dry clean issue but have been wearing a very thin tee under my other one and spot cleaning where necessary and then a touch of Febreze.

so they do.. Hush have done more reductions this year havent they? I see that they have the skinny scarf you liked also reduced . Never and the Devore one also

the wide top id just too like last years sparkle Ivy for m to go for but it is nice ( only difference is about 6ins in length.. I might have gone for the gold one but its not in the promotion..

I do like the grey striped lurex jumper , but I quite possibly may have a few too many jumpers now !!

Red Felix is lovely, but dry cleaning would put me off.. I'm sure i'd just end up bunging it in the machine and ruining it !

.. but if that snake cashmere scarf or the grey one had been in the offer it may have been a different outcome .....so lucky for my poor battered finances (Christmas shopping and buying that coat) that they were not!

Yes the dry cleaning is a PITA. Saying that, it is with my leather leggings too. I have been spot cleaning the other grey felix. Maybe when its old I might toss it in the machine or handwash it. Its fine wearing it and airing it and febreezing it. Tbh, I wear a good deodorant and a tee under it, its not really making contact with the skin.

No not gone off it . but I just bought the dandelion Hultquist from the Ros Mari Sale , and tbh not sure if i'd actually wear the diamante one much.

Im really messy ( always seem to be dropping stuff down me ) I need washable clothes !!

I always change out of any good stuff. Habit taken from my gran. She used to wear her nice clothes out and when she came she put all her old stuff on and an apron!!!

Her apron resembled a coat in light material, a bit like a shirt dress, buttoned and straight up and down over her clothes.
