Haha Laska must admit it’s not my favourite place to spend a Sunday, thanks will look that up, I like a good dectective saga especially if not gory.

dontcallmelen · 02/12/2018 21:27

never tomorrow another day, Put your feet up☕️

neveradullmoment99 · 02/12/2018 21:36

If only @melen - work tomorrow sadly. Still, I work for my Thursday Fridays!!!

dontcallmelen · 02/12/2018 21:38

never I know what you mean, couple of years before I had to give up work I dropped down to Mon-Thurs best thing I ever did.

AFingerofFudge · 03/12/2018 07:36

First Hush purchase for ages just completed!! I was faffing on the John Lewis site this morning and up popped a pink Meryl size small!!! Not 100% the size will fit but I've bought it and will collect tomorrow. Report back tomorrow!!

Laska2Meryls · 03/12/2018 08:42

Oooo Fudge .. they do come up oversizedbut hopefully it will look good on youSmile. I don't think that there is anything else I want from AW . Think Santa is bringing me the zebra scarf. And not sure even if theres anything that might go in the sale ( unless they were to reduce the cashmere polo or bf jumpers to something really bargainous ) so now I want a SS19 preview !!

dontcallmelen · 03/12/2018 09:05

Fudge ooh exciting.
Laska hope all goes well today💐

twosoups1972 · 03/12/2018 12:25

twosoups1972 · 03/12/2018 12:26

fudge my Meryl is XS and it is huge! Not sure if it’s worth £110 through.

Ellapaella · 03/12/2018 12:52

You know @twosoups1972 I prefer the second jumper - the jigsaw one. It's a super colour and I just think it's got more about it. Both are lovely but the second has the edge for me so I vote for that one.
Which do you prefer? If you can afford to keep both they are both very nice.

twosoups1972 · 03/12/2018 12:58

Thank you @ellapaella I think I will return the Meryl, it's just too loose and baggy for me. At the price it needs to be perfect.

I do like the Jigsaw one, that colour was reduced from £130 to £89 but they only had a XS left which is in the photo. It's a tad too small unfortunately. I might return it and keep an eye out for a S.

In the meantime, I might get another Boden Heidi jumper in same pink as the Meryl, I already have one in turquoise and I really like it.

AFingerofFudge · 03/12/2018 13:05

Yep the Meryl is very pricey and it's only because I sold a few bits on eBay that I bought it. But yes it's going to have to be totally perfect to be a keeper!! Will report back with photos obvs Grin
Hmm, I like them both, although the Meryl would have

AFingerofFudge · 03/12/2018 13:06

Sorry posted too soon, - the Meryl would have the edge because I don't like the sleeves on the other, even though the colour is gorgeous!

twosoups1972 · 03/12/2018 13:10

Looking forward to seeing what you think of the Meryl fudge Smile

twosoups1972 · 03/12/2018 13:13

I also really like this Boden jumper in grey:

www.boden.co.uk/en-gb/womens-knitwear/jumpers/k0165-slv/womens-silver-melange-amy-jumper

I think I look better in more fitted jumpers, maybe that's why I'm not sure about the Meryl on me.

WaterLilyThursday · 03/12/2018 14:08

Oh they are both gorgeous @twosoups!! Hard decision! I agree with Ella regarding the colour of the jigsaw one - it is just beautiful!! But, as a Meryl owner (but not wearer yet since it's a Christmas present) I know how comfy and soft and gorgeous it feels ... they are pretty huge though. I think I will be always tucking mine in a bit because otherwise it just swamps me (not 100% tucked in obv but a bit like the way @Ella described before for @Utah). Anyway, they are both fab!! Can you find somebody to gift you one of them for Christmas?!! Sorry - that's not particularly helpful I know!

Hope your day is going well @Laska Flowers

Loved reading about your boys being back home @Soy - from what I "know" of you from this thread - they are very lucky to have such a cool, warm and kind and FUN Mum!

Miserable day over here in France - not wearing any Hush but I am wearing my Dune Oreon star boots (black suede boots that have stars on them!) with an otherwise all-black outfit.

Back to work ...

WaterLilyThursday · 03/12/2018 14:10

ps @twosoups: both of the Boden jumpers that you mentioned are just beautiful. How is the sizing on the Heidi? I see it's sold out in the dark green. Would have liked to give that a go.

NotAnActualSheep · 03/12/2018 16:40

I do love both of those jumpers on you soups - but I see what you mean about the meryl being a bit too swamping! Definitely needs to be perfect at that price. The jigsaw one is a lovely colour too - but I do like the length of the meryl - which makes it a bit different, to me (that, and the cowl-style neck). Though having said that - the Boden Heidi is gorgeous - and I hadn't thought of that when I was on my pink jumper hunt! It is almost the same colour as the meryl... (I have the turquoise Heidi, and the "seaweed" Hmm one which are both lovely so I really don't need a third... plus, I am jumpered out now... ). I find the sizing of those much more reasonable waterlily...I have an M which is fine for me (loose, but not oversized)- so you would probably need an XS - or maybe a S if you want it a bit looser?

Well done on the meryl-catching though fudge! look forward to seeing how it works for you!

soy - how lovely that your DS is back - though its a pity Brighton wasn't working for him. It'll be really nice to have you all together in the run-up to Christmas, even if its not going to be a long-term thing.

len FlowersBrewWine for the IKEA experience. Urk. On a Sunday a few weeks before Christmas too...I'm feeling a bit queasy at the thought... (The last time we went we hadn't realised it was the weekend before freshers week, and I needed a stiff drink waaaaayyyy before the end).

Hope today is going OK for you laska, and glad you had a more relaxing weekend than the past few weeks. Did your second OS coat(s) arrive? And hope you are a bit less tired today never (despite work) and that porpose's DS has recovered... Energising and relaxing vibes to all...

dontcallmelen · 03/12/2018 17:35

twosoups yy a hard decision, but I think the jigsaw one edges it I’m with you, I don’t feel comfortable if something is a bit to swampy, but that’s I think mainly being short & the length/arms feel a bit much.
I really like boden knitwear as well & those jumpers are lovely.

SoyYo · 03/12/2018 17:36

Hello 👋 I’m catching up with you all.
DS has done his first official homeworking day today from the dining room table, the study is strictly for my homeworking as I’m on a lot of daily conference calls Grin it was nice to have lunch together and he seems to adapt to the new environment well though I’ve warned him not to get cabin fever and go out for a swim or a walk with his brother after work. He’s still got his room in a shared Brighton flat till end of Jan. He does like Brighton the issue is he finished his degree this summer so nearly all his old uni mates have moved away now and he’s been a bit low as he’s just taken this job to save up to go to Canada in 2019 where his girlfriend lives. But on a low wage he wasn’t saving a lot in Brighton which kind of defeated the object if that makes sense and he got into a negative cycle of self doubt.
So yes at the moment he’s lucky he can carry on working from home and it’ll be very easy to save for his Canadian adventure ( he already has the working visa, he now needs to save a few grand to ensure he can survive the first few months there).
Thank you waterlily for your comments! He is a musician and completed a degree in music production/sound engineering and hopes to find a job in the industry once in Canada, but in the meantime needs must to save up.
He is a really great kid and very creative, fingers crossed for him!

twosoups1972 · 03/12/2018 17:37

@WaterLilyThursday re the Boden Heidi jumper - comes up quite generous, I am normally a 12 on top and a S is fine on me.

SoyYo · 03/12/2018 17:38

soups I think I like the way the Jigsaw fits you better than the Meryl. Shame the Meryl was too big Angry it’s such a fabulous colour!

dontcallmelen · 03/12/2018 17:44

Soy glad Ds seems to be adjusting & hopefully he can save a bit quicker & realise his goals, it’s so tough when they get bogged down with life & then doubt themselves.

SoyYo · 03/12/2018 17:54

Yes melen I think the world is much more complex now compared to when we were their age.
How’s Phil Mitchell? (Aka Dgd) Grin

dontcallmelen · 03/12/2018 18:10

So true Soy now we know definitely getting old, the world did indeed seem so much simpler & less complicated.
😂 Phil Mitchell is on the mend, so much less ‘Allo Pat’ was so funny as she is so dinky to hear this really really deep voice.
