Perfect gin (I have the same sweat btw). It looks just the right level of slouchy without veering into “can’t be arsed today” look and really suits you. I reckon in my neck of the woods you’d be positively overdressed at some of the local pubs in that outfit but I know just what you mean Wink

SoyYo · 28/11/2018 14:19

And thanks gin and melen for the nice comments, Hope it all now makes sense to utah now and if I can carry that skirt off anyone can Smile

dontcallmelen · 28/11/2018 17:49

Hope everyone has been ok with this awful wind, even here in London it’s been very stormy.

twosoups1972 · 28/11/2018 18:02

Hello all,

I am properly ill, very sore throat and temperature. Dd3 had the same, thought she was better so went back to school yesterday but stayed home again today! We've been lying around in PJs feeling sorry for ourselves.

And my stroppy 15 year old dd (who never gets ill), is not pleased that she's escaped the lurgy. Oh no. She wants to be a bit ill so she can have a sofa day Grin

dontcallmelen · 28/11/2018 18:06

two sending sympathy hope you feel better soon.

whiskyremorse · 28/11/2018 19:34

Two at least you have lovely leisure wear to slouch in whilst you're ill. Small mercies

neveradullmoment99 · 28/11/2018 20:37

Lovely outfit for lounging @gin.
Well so glad that I am off tomorrow. Weather is AWFUL. Absolutely pouring and windy. Really horrible. I'm hoping its better tomorrow as I am going out for lunch tomorrow [sporting my leather leggings of course]
Soyo I have that skirt but you look amazing in it. I love the way you have styled it. It looks sooooo good!
@Ella - did you decide on a jumper or is it back to the drawing board?
I still haven't decided on the nibbled one but purely cause I cant see the colour in daylight. Will try tomorrow.
@cherries - Did you decide to keep yours?
@Laska - hope you are ok xx

Laska2Meryls · 28/11/2018 21:05

Just checking in to keep on the thread, will post with photo in the morning, I need an opinion on the Other stories coat

Laska2Meryls · 28/11/2018 21:05

sorry really tired ,

dontcallmelen · 28/11/2018 21:08

Laska maybe an early night, hope you feel better tomorrow.

Laska2Meryls · 28/11/2018 21:21

Thanks Len I think it is all getting to me (so sorry to keep whinging on) , Luckily I have a day 'working' at home tomorrow, so shall do as little as possible, although the house is an utter tip and needs a going through
Friday I am back over to Dads(DSF) (and t again Monday as we are meeting the celebrant ) ... I know he needs me but I am feeling so tired now after the last week and a half .. I dont really know what to think or do .

The Boden Lucille dresses came and were both a disaster, obviously made for someone totally unlike me , really short in the bodice and over long in the skirt . I love the Other Stories coat , but thinking that it is probably too big.. ill post photos tomorrow in the light and you can tell me what you think of it .. I must go to bed now early as it is

dontcallmelen · 28/11/2018 21:27

Aww Laska you are definitely not whinging on, you poor thing you have just lost your Mum, I thinks sometimes this bit leading up to the funeral is very hard, you are emotionally fragile but having to be a support to others, so much to do & yet you have to carry on with normal stuff, tomorrow is another day leave what ever needs doing & see how you feel tomorrow, definitely have an early night 😘

ilovecherries · 28/11/2018 21:31

Hope you have a decent sleep, laska. Don’t feel any need to apologise. xx

neveradullmoment99 · 28/11/2018 21:40

Sorry you are feeling so drained @Laska. I agree with melen. It is so hard when you have to support others and deal with your own grief. Hope after a good nights sleep you feel a bit more rested and better able to cope with this week. Why are you at your work? Surely you should be taking some time off. Remember, family comes first. x

Ellapaella · 28/11/2018 21:46

Look after yourself Laska - be kind to yourself, take it one day at a time. We are all thinking of you here. Will look forward to seeing your stories coat when it arrives.

@neveradullmoment99 I haven't ordered the jumper - am still undecided and been so busy at work today, had to do a ward shift and have only just sat down now after a long busy day with a glass of wine. Going to hold off making any purchases for a week - I have a tendency to buy things as soon as I see them but I'm going to wait a week and if I still have the jumper passion I'll order the grey Anthropologie one.

I have 4 days off now - tomorrow will be running a few errands and then cleaning the house. I'm going to have an eBay clear out over next few days as well I think.

@GinandGingerBeer I love your lounging about outfit. To be honest lounge wear is what I wear 95% of the time!

NotAnActualSheep · 28/11/2018 22:17

I'm loving all the marinas! soy yours looks amazing with the jacket, and Laska I especially like the burgundy one with the orange jumper. It's not a combo I'd have thought would work, but it looks so fresh! ( you style maven you) Grin ( take care and hope you feel a little rested in the morning). Looking forward to seeing the coat too... I seem to have difficulties with Boden dresses. I found an ancient one in a charity shop that fits like a glove, but ones I've bought new from them seem to have the waist in the wrong place. And I'm not that weird a shape...

Gin - Fab lounging outfit. I caved and bought that raglan at the last minute in the sale and two dresses which at least one and hopefully both are going back... which may come tomorrow or poss Fri. The colour really suits you! I know what you mean about lounge-wear out and about. I tried the slate grey harems to dinner when I was away for work a couple of months ago, and felt very self conscious...like I was wearing my pyjamas. ( to be fair, I did then wear them as pyjamas as I'd forgotten to pack any and the hotel room was freezing..so I'm not really helping myself).

soups sorry you're still feeling ill. Nothing worse than the entire family coming down with the same thing at once...

Hope your meeting went well cherries. I think I had basically the same outfit on for my meeting on Tuesday...even down to the heatgen top under the shirt!

NotAnActualSheep · 28/11/2018 22:25

Right. I've done a Bad Thing and I did try that twiggy jumper from JL in L. It's big, but I don't think it's ridiculously so. And it's really cosy. I'm a bit unsure about the neck, which they've "distressed" a little bit much, and I wonder if it may start unravelling and look scruffy quickly. The colours are really nice...it's got a tiny bit of orange in it, which I wasn't expecting.

It is a jumper, though. And, surprise, surprise, I have quite a lot of them... DH did say he'd buy a pink Meryl for me for Christmas, though, and in the sale this was less than 1Meryl... Is this worth going for instead, do you think? Or should I stop buying overpriced oversized jumpers???

Hush Christmas - its a slipper-y slope and a ding dong meryl-y on high :)!
Huffthepuff · 28/11/2018 22:57

@Not I love that on you!! Keep keep keep!
The whole outfit looks great!

neveradullmoment99 · 28/11/2018 23:29

@not, I have the twiggy jumper. My dh is giving it to me for my xmas. I really love it. It looks lovely on you. Thumbs up from me.

ilovecherries · 29/11/2018 07:04

I haven’t decided on the nibbled jumper yet never. I love the colour/style/comfort but I’m still struggling to get my head round deliberately vandalising a luxury item.

neveradullmoment99 · 29/11/2018 08:31

Yes i agree. Although saying that, i really like the shape of it. Its different from the bf cashmere jumpers. They had them back in stock again, after the sale of course. My concern is its reduced greatly in Jan sale. I think they may put it down to about £75.

neveradullmoment99 · 29/11/2018 08:32

Tbh, i think you should keep it as you really suit the colour so much.

dontcallmelen · 29/11/2018 08:33

Not I really like it as well, colours are lovely.

dontcallmelen · 29/11/2018 08:37

Laska I hope you had a good nights rest & feel a little better, big hugs 💐

PorpoisefullyObtuse · 29/11/2018 08:57

I love the nibbed jumper cherries. It’s gorgeous on you but get your concerns about the raw edges. So annoying.

I actually avoided the last Hush launch as I had so many other calls on my purse but having fallen back into this thread I have fallen in love with the Meryl. In pink. It’s Devine! Had a check this morning and there is a small in but I would need an XS. Sigh.

Need to eBay everything to justify it!
