It seems to be Frogmore cottage as opposed to Frogmore House. A mere 10 bedroom cottage.

IPromiseIWontBeNaughty · 24/11/2018 07:12

I hope there isn’t a rift. Fingers crossed it’s just the Suns way of pointing the finger at Meghan. She’s the new one so must be her. I’m sure K & W want Harry to be happy & he’s glowing since he met her.

WipsGlitter · 24/11/2018 07:20

The thing is, in reality how many 30 year old brothers live right beside each other?

It's normal for them to want some space particularly as they "work" in the same company.

At the end of the day Harry is the Andrew to William - second in line, no real job lined up. His kids will be the Beatrice and Eugenie of the family. He needs to think carefully about where he's going and what's he's doing.

owlshooting · 24/11/2018 07:28

Honest to God. First it's KP and a huge, expensive refurbishment. Then Soho House, now Frogmore. I thought there was another house mentioned too... I wonder if it's all speculation really.

As for this 'split' ,I am sure it's nothing of the kind.

QueenOfTheAndals · 24/11/2018 07:36

The kitchen hasn't got links to terrorists, some terror suspects attended the mosque there. That's like saying the hall attached to the local parish church that an IRA bomber might've attended had "terror connections".

That Sun article really scrapes the bottom of the barrel - just one throwaway sentence to say that there's no evidence to suggest the mosque condoned the terrorists' activities. They're trying to appeal to the thick racists among their readers and it's a disgraceful attempt to discredit not only Meghan, but those poor women who run the kitchen and are doing some really good work.

Re the Frogmore story, once again "a source" has been quoted but KP declined to comment Hmm I think we should know by now that unless they can pinpoint the source, the Sun is even less reliable than the Mail.

I agree Queen but this seems a little suspicious

Oh! Interesting.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 24/11/2018 07:56

Frogmore cottage would make perfect sense. Half an hour from London, in Windsor Great Park; all the security is established.
Lots of green spaces to push the baby in the pram!
It’s already on the M4 so getting out to the Cotswolds at the weekends would be so fast.
So they’re going to keep Nottingham cottage as a pied à terre. And they’ve been gifted York Cottage on the Sandringham Estate. I guess they’ll just go there for Christmas.
Harry will probably inherit HighGrove at some point.

The number of homes is ridiculous !

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 24/11/2018 08:05

A lot of analysis of Beatrice’s new boyfriend

DM link.
Pretty thorough though; it’s Richard Kay & Geoffrey Lévy. They’re usually pretty accurate

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 24/11/2018 08:09

Queen Victoria’s photo album for sale
I can’t believe it will go into the hands of another private collector. The Royal Collection should buy it back. It’s only £6000. I wonder if it had been stolen...

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 24/11/2018 08:18

Sophie had a second engagement yesterday with Angelina Jolie

Sophie is keeping her dressing really low key these days.
She’s only bringing out the frocks for the big occasions.

Excellent points WipsGlitter and QueenOfTheAndals.
About the homes - the very large apartment at KP, formerly of the Gloucesters, has been renovated from the public purse, now similarly Frogmore "Cottage".
They have extensive properties, the upkeep of which seems to frequently fall to us.

ElspethFlashman · 24/11/2018 08:28

I don't think York Cottage has been confirmed though. I've always doubted that one, apparently its a bit shit inside. Pokey and dark and old fashioned.

AhoyDelBoy · 24/11/2018 08:30

This sounds perfect. When can I move in? Grin

QueenOfTheAndals · 24/11/2018 08:31

That is indeed a lot of analysis for someone she's only been dating since September!

How old is Sophie W? Early 50s? She looks fab!

AhoyDelBoy · 24/11/2018 08:39

I think they should buy the photo album back too Curly. Apparently they had it till the 70’s and then sold it presumably? Some wonderful shots in the article.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 24/11/2018 08:41

@ahoydelboy
Why on Earth someone would sell photos of Queen Victoria; for what must have been peanuts back in the 70s... Confused

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 24/11/2018 08:46

Sophie on an engagement earlier this week.

She is such a brick. Yes I think she is about early 50s.
She’s the next generation of head down, hard working Royals.
But there appears to be no one else. Andrew just does projects which seem to be commensurate with his perceived «status».
He & Beatrice were in Australia this week. Theoretically Beatrice was there for work but she would have probably gone at tax payers expense. I think we should definitely have a bit more transparency about where the York’s get their money from....

I like that they seemingly want to be in Windsor - they married in those grounds so it will hold lots of happy memories.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 24/11/2018 08:49

Andrew & Béatrice in Australia

IPromiseIWontBeNaughty · 24/11/2018 08:52

I love the way Sophie just gets on with it. No fanfare. Head down. Job done.

youngestisapsycho · 24/11/2018 09:06

Windsor will be nicer to live in then central London.

itswinetime · 24/11/2018 09:19

WipsGlitter and others I totally agree the rift idea is fabricated by the media how many people live next door to their family? I also think it might be part of the next step obviously when the Queen does Charles get BP will William and Kate move to Clarence House? Or somewhere else as next in line. Even if they don't move then eventually the brothers have different roles and will have different households. Makes sense to me for Harry and Meghan to settle now so it can be a family home.
