Ipromise Anyone else notice Catherine is wearing cream?

I guess they are the type of wedding where you can be fairly confident the bride won't be in a cream slip dress so you can wear white/cream and be fairly confident that no one will "mistake you for the bride". This ho ha about wearing cream seems to be a fairly resent thing. I guess it more of a worry to brides who aren't in traditional gowns. I always worry slightly that one day I will turn up in the same dress as the bridesmaids as it very rare for them to be in traditional gowns these days.

AhoyDelBoy · 19/11/2018 09:57

@GrumbleBumble I always worry slightly that one day I will turn up in the same dress as the bridesmaid has reminded me of this Grin unrelated to the thread but worth a look for a laugh!

VanillaSugary · 19/11/2018 10:23

Is that link safe?

Alwayscheerful · 19/11/2018 10:32

The link does not work but at least I have found you all again.

Clionba · 19/11/2018 11:08

It's not about bring mistaken for the bride. It's out of courtesy to her as white or cream are the bridal colours. Plenty of other lovely colours and patterns to choose from.

Clionba · 19/11/2018 11:09

I notice that the Charles and Louis picture is a headline image in the DM. Also odds have been cut on Kate having baby no 4!

AhoyDelBoy · 19/11/2018 11:11

Safe? As in safe to open at work or around kids? Yes, it’s just a link to a news article Smile

AhoyDelBoy · 19/11/2018 11:12

Sorry Clionba you must have missed the news broken by the Australian New Idea magazine today. Kate is pregnant with no. 4 and it’s a GIRL! Grin

Clionba · 19/11/2018 11:13

Could you send the link again, Ahoy? It doesn't work and now I'm intrigued!

Clionba · 19/11/2018 11:13

Ahoy really??!! I love the way they're certain of the gender!!

AhoyDelBoy · 19/11/2018 11:17

I know it cracks me up the gender thing! She’d have to be what 20 weeks pregnant or so!? Something tells me Kate is not halfway through a pregnancy Grin

YearOfYouRemember · 19/11/2018 11:23

I love the photo of baby Louis reaching out to touch Charles' face.

Ahoy you can tell through blood tests or fetal selection much earlier - but given that they didn't reveal the sex of 1-3 why would they let it be known this time?

Alwayscheerful · 19/11/2018 12:03

Sorry, Is this Baby no 4 news real?

ajandjjmum · 19/11/2018 12:09

I wouldn't think so - the first we heard for the first three was that Kate was having to pull out of engagements with HG - she'd be very lucky to dodge that for her fourth pregnancy.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 19/11/2018 12:12

I think it’s highly unlikely.
However Kate rarely shows till she is about 5 months pregnant.
It would be a great way to take the heat off her but just not announcing it.
If Kate didn’t have the hyperemisis thing. I’m sure she could have got away with announcing at about 4 months for each child.

GrumbleBumble · 19/11/2018 12:13

Always no it's fake news.

itswinetime · 19/11/2018 12:19

The baby thing is a ridiculous rumour with her last 3 pregnancies Kate has been bed bound/ hospitalised with Hyperemesis gravidarum. She missed George's first day at school she was so sick.

Yet we have seen her lots in the last few weeks so either she's into her second trimester when I think she was feeling better in previous pregnancies or she's not pregnant. She doesn't look like she's in her second trimester to me!

There will be speculation about a 4th child till they either have one of the papers decide she is to old to have one.

In the documentary from a while ago one of the journalists interviewed said the papers want a story they don't care what it is but royals sell papers. As William and Kate don't give the press stories I think we can expect a lot of speculation articles in the future unfortunately.

owlshooting · 19/11/2018 12:23

Honestly, the papers these days think they can just make all sorts of ludicrous stories up and publish what they like. I sometimes wonder if W and K sit at the breakfast table cracking up at some of the ridiculous stuff they read.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 19/11/2018 12:29

Charles just basically lives the bachelor life and Camilla and the children & grandchildren are just wheeled out to show he is a family man

I suspect this is as close to the truth as we'll ever get, but then why "marry" her at all? It's not as if there's a lack of other family he can publish pretty pictures with

And how does the "supporting him in his work" thing stack up, given what happened in Australia? As said before, it will be interesting to see how that works out, when a post-coronation tour of the Commonwealth is more or less expected ...

Alwayscheerful · 19/11/2018 12:30

Thank you, yes I assumed Fake news but for some reason needed to check. I imagine Kate & William were giggling at the breakfast table.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 19/11/2018 12:32

the papers these days think they can just make all sorts of ludicrous stories up

Not just these days ... there's a wonderful story about Anne meeting the press in Paris, not long after her first marriage

"Am I" she asked "divorced yet?" Grin

AhoyDelBoy · 19/11/2018 12:36

@Alwayscheerful I very much doubt it (I’m always on instagram or here so would have seen some kind of announcement Grin). The New Idea magazine announces that ‘Kate is pregnant!’ at least every second week!
