Morning all! Come and join the gorgeously-scented chat!

Today I smell of lavender, woodsmoke and cinnamon biscuits, in Another Kiss By The Fireside.

Well I'm looking forward to reading the advent reviews until the end of the month, sadly I won't be contributing. Despite the fact that Tom Ford - neroli Portofino was written very clearly on the top of my Christmas list, the only scented thing I received was an Avon body spray. He did well with the other gifts though so I can't complain (too much).

I'm looking forward to hearing what the rest of you got!

How was everyone's Christmas? I got two perfumes! PG16.1 Bois Naufragé from DH and LIive in Love from DSis which I've not tried yet.

Happy Christmas lovely Perfumista friends!

I hope everyone had a happy and peaceful day. I feel there can be so much pressure and stress around Christmas time, especially the day itself. One of the (very few) benefits of having a life turned upside down through illness is how selfish I have become (okay, bear with me Wink) and now I feel "justified" in concentrating on the few things I feel are really important - without all the guilt! We do see family on Christmas Day and do The Big Meal etc but Boxing Day is sacrosanct (DH's work allowing!) and reserved for PJs, chocolate, left overs and films. I look forward to it more than Christmas Day, tbh! We actually had a lovely day today, I'm very tired though and really looking forward to staying in my nightie tomorrow.

Looking forward to hearing about any interesting scented presents - and reviews of course!

Wolves I feel your pain Grin the PP version of a Neroli Portofino is fab, if you've not tried it? More lavender-y IMO but beautiful.

PS just realised I had spelt cat wrong (how?!Hmm) on my user name so took an opportunity to change it Smile

PPS lots I am in my 40s and so know lots and lots of Daves Smile DH has a huge family and the men that aren't called Dave are called Andy or Peter Grin

Happy Christmas! Have just collapsed in a chair; last lunch guests have just gone. Lovely relaxed day, and a beautiful walk in sunshine earlier.

Brilliant family members tracked down a back edition of Nez magazine (very exciting) and a couple of Halstons Smile. Good times Smile.

We need a new thread soon!

toffee your post made me laugh.

Merry Christmas, fragranced ones. Hope everyone has had lovely, lovely days. I got Byredo Bibliotheque, Chanel 19 Poudre, and Miss Dior (proper). V pleased. Less pleased that (1) I appear to have a completely new cold and (2) I caught cat-face torturing a teeny tiny little mouse outside. DP rescued him and put him in next door’s garden.

floofy one of my students commented the other week that I was very good at saying “no” to things (in this case turfing Pudsey’s ambassadors out without donating) and how much he admired it. One of the great benefits of getting older.

Oh @toffee1000, that was the perfect way to end my Christmas evening shift - it made me laugh out loud (but have deleted it for you anyway!) Merry Christmas all.

ahem BlushSmile glad some found it funny, I should’ve had a clue when the previous poster was talking about their perfumes... HmmGrin

I did get two nice perfumes actually. Japanese Cherry Blossom from Body Shop, and then Lancôme O d’Azur.

See, toffee, you are a fully fledged perfumista. Our language is not always fragrant on this thread, honest.

Merry Christmas! No perfumes under the tree for me (though have been thoroughly spoilt nonetheless). We are doing Christmas with my family in a few days and I'm crossing my fingers that 4160 White Queen might be on the cards.

Happy Boxing Day all. No perfume for me either, but lots of lovely things so I am not complaining. (would rather buy my own anyway as dh does not have a great history in that arena!). Know exactly what you mean Dave Floofy and Judy about having the confidence you say no - we are usually rushing off driving 100 miles on Boxing Day morning to catch up with family, but are staying home this year, seeing some friends and going tomorrow instead. Am greatly looking forward to a lovely relaxed day!

Nice review. Think I have a sample somewhere, I'll need to try it out again.

Visitors and mess in my kitchen beginning to get to me so DH has taken everyone to the park so I can chill and tidy.
