Anyone bought any lovely new makeup recently?

Went shopping yesterday and bought a chanel lipstick (my first one) a Bobbi Brown eyeshadow stick and Becca undereye corrector, which I've never had before. Usually use Bobbi Brown but don't love it so going to give this a go. Love buying new makeup and trying out new bits. Anyone bought anything recently that they would recommend (or not)?

Becca powder highlighter in Vanilla Quartz is SO pretty, if you are pale and cool toned! It is not glittery, it just gives you a really nice sheen.
I am also liking A'kin shampoo for my sensitive scalp.

I like the eye pencils and mascara from Chanel. They stay on really well. For the same reason I like the matt lipsticks of MAC. Only the matt ones though.

I tried a becca highlighter (think it was rose quartz) and it was lovely. It's definitely going on my Christmas list.

Kevin Aucoin (so?) foundation because I love it so much

Beauty pie lip oil is amazing. Their foundation, mascara and, nail polish are also good. Can’t comment on eye shadow as I don’t use it but their eyeshadow stick has rave reviews. So do the strobing drops.

Charlotte Tilbury's lipstick, Pillow Talk. It is the best nude shade I have ever worn. Also giving her Youth Glow primer a go. I think hope it makes a difference Grin

I have bought the Kat Von D Tattoo eyeliner which is really good, easy to use and has great staying power. Also bought the ABH Modern Renaissance Palette (late to the game, I know) and I really like using that too. Also Benefit Rollerlash- amazing stuff.

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless filter , initially I thought it was for youngsters only but then found some you tubers who were more mature who recommended so I bought.
It's amazing. I use with on cheekbones and a few other areas to highlight and when I wear it people say things like , oh that colour really suits you cos my skin looks great.

ggirl · 04/11/2018 10:32

I'm going to try mixing it with my moisturiser today and apply all over to see if it works..may be too much but it's Sunday I'll risk it.

I can feel my Christmas list growing by the minute. Love makeup shopping.

I’ve recently bought Becca First light primer & an HD brow pencil loving them both so far 👍 I’ve never tried anything Charlotte Tilbury, the counter scares me lol maybe I’ll need to brave it! What are you fav products?

EraOfTheGrey · 04/11/2018 18:11

Hourglass ambient powders. I bought ethereal light 2 weeks ago and loved it, bought diffused light and mood light this week. I genuinely love all 3. Expensive but all three will last a really long time.

I also bought Nars gaiety blush and DW water nude foundation which I haven’t tried the foundation yet.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 04/11/2018 18:43

The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked. It's an absolutely gorgeous palette and I love all the shades ( unusual for me!)

Laura Mercier caviar eyeshadow sticks are lovely. The Beauty Pie great skin foundation is also excellent.

User5trillion · 04/11/2018 19:21

I have just joined beauty pie and bought a few bits. The mascara is excellent as is the tinted moisturizer and gel eyeliner. The skin care seems really nice but I have only been using it for a few days. I have also bought Bobbi brown bronzer, which is the perfect colour and it was 20% off.

I am updating my entire makeup bag as I have been lost.in a blur of babies and toddlers and most of it is years old.

I am loving beauty pie, someone on here recommended it and all the products have been amazing so far. I am also loathe to spend money, so its high end make up at low prices, which is perfect for me.

TheWombat · 04/11/2018 19:27

Bobbi brown pink quartz shimmer brick! All the other shimmer bricks have been glittery shite on me, but I tried this one on a whim and it’s gorgeous! Sheeny subtle glow over my cheeks.

Also: Charlotte tilbury bitch perfect lipstick, matched with Ibiza nights lip gloss. Crazy expensive for what it is, but gives a gorgeous plumping effect.

TheFaerieQueene · 04/11/2018 19:29

Stilla Glitter and Glow liquid eyeshadow

PastaRedWine · 04/11/2018 19:56

Anymore (dark brown) mascara recommendations? I was sighing away at mine earlier 😆

Ledkr · 04/11/2018 20:03

The Laura Geller baked foundation is just amazing for my skin. It goes on it a few seconds and co ears all my mark and scars, it isn't drying but equally doesn't leave me looking sweaty or greasy I love it and everyone e who sees me out it on has bought it even my hairdresser who is a slave to higher end brands.

user1499173618 · 04/11/2018 20:05

Sisley. Their lipsticks are a revelation. Hugely expensive but they last for ages.

user1499173618 · 04/11/2018 20:05

Sisley dark brown mascara also very good!

Workreturner · 04/11/2018 20:08

Nars liquid blush in orgasm

Wonderful

Haircutdilemma · 04/11/2018 20:11

I have got the Urban Decay Cherry palette which I am loving and the ABH Sultry palette.

Also bought some Becca stuff from QVC the first light primer I love, the lip and cheek tint is nice and the highlight. Wasn't so fond of the foundation but that's my own fault for buying luminous foundation for my oily skin.

Hourglass Ambient powder in Dim Light, and Benefit Rollerlash. Both game changers.
