Here we go again!

And by popular demand, here are the previous threads:

Special edition: Eugenie wedding thread

Harry and Meghan have 2 days more in NZ before they head back to London and, if I was her, I'd put on pyjamas, get Netflix fired up, and not leave my bed for several days! William and Kate will be out for a sporty engagement in Essex tomorrow and I'm sure we'll start to see them more as she's now officially back from maternity leave..

No idea what the continental royals are up to but New My Royals (does that title even make sense?) is my go-to link for them!

Thanks Queen agree that's gorgeous. Really suits her.

Gosh is Kate in JP. It really reminds me of her last McQueen

FogCutter · 31/10/2018 16:13

Gosh, Kate looks very very slim there. I hope she's not unwell as she seems to have lost weight.

Gorgeous dress!

PennyMordauntsLadyBrain · 31/10/2018 16:15

DoC’s hair looks great though. So glad she had it cut, it makes her look much younger

7salmonswimming · 31/10/2018 16:31

Her hips aren’t slender so much as narrow (well, they’re both). She has proportionate shoulders to her height and head, but her hips and waist are very narrow. Makes her look very girlish, imo.

Helpmepleasenow48 · 31/10/2018 16:32

She's too thin, that's why she looks much older than her age (and lifestyle) would suggest. The dress is lovely - but the DoW was wrong 'you CAN be too thin'.

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 31/10/2018 16:35

She definitely looks thinner today in the same dress. Maybe she's feeding though - I know that was the only time I was ever able to squeeze myself into a pair of size 6 jeans.

DontCallMeCharlotte · 31/10/2018 16:38

I've missed a few days on here and can't keep up!

I think Kate knows what suits her and she very rarely makes a mistake. Ironically, I think the only time she goes into zzzzz territory is at weddings but, as has been said before, she absolutely doesn't want to upstage any brides.

I really like Meghan and, even if she's "acting" her role, she's doing a good job so far. But she hasn't settled into her royal wardrobe groove yet (and a pregnancy is only going to muddy the sartorial waters even more for her, poor love). She's had a few hits on this tour but rather a lot of misses. I think, given her size and height, she would do well to look to Queen Letizia for inspiration *, especially when it comes to fit and length of skirt etc.

(* DISCLAIMER: Apart from the red skirt and blouse she wore these week. A rare mistake.)

SilentIsla · 31/10/2018 16:52

Kate’s neck looks sinewy. She is too thin.

TSSDNCOP · 31/10/2018 17:01

The blue is a lovely colour for Katherine. I love that she wears things more than once, taking some tips from Princess Anne in that respect. Also temporarily diverting critics away from abolishing the monarchy
and subjecting her kids to more "what will you do with your lives now" questions.

Complex agree that she goes snooze at weddings, but it must be a double-edged sword for a bride; kudos for having the Cambridges on your guest list vs. two years planning on your show stopping dress going straight out the window.

LOVE Megan's big pants! If the worlds press are going to see your drawers, be channelling a 50's siren when they do.

Moononthehill28 · 31/10/2018 17:05

I think K looks far better with a fuller face and a bit more weight. She is far too thin and it’s ageing. My guess is both she and Pippa don’t eat carbs and consequently look quite lined as a result. No woman is that size without a lot of work she’s naturally slim and athletic but she verges on gaunt now.

QueenOfTheAndals · 31/10/2018 17:08

Aha I found two of my favourite Kate looks - Gucci and Chanel. I prefer it when she goes slightly quirky/unusual, as opposed to the inevitable Sarah Burton coatdress!

I wouldn’t blame a low carb diet. Low carb AND low fat, however? That’s probably more like it.

Pupsiecola · 31/10/2018 17:21

I don't think Kate is too thin. She still has boobs, very shapely legs, and arm muscles for example. She is slim with a low body fat percentage for sure. I read a book once (The Beck Diet Solution) which is sort of CBT relating to weight loss rather than an actual diet book. It made the point that if you observe "naturally" thin people, they actually have specific habits; most of them aren't naturally thin by chance. For example, they will eat with moderation and they will eat a bigger meal for say a special occasion, have a dessert etc but what you don't see is that they will make allowances for that on the day and possible the days around it by reducing their calorie intake. They don't binge. They do enjoy their food but then stop when they're full etc. I also suspect she is very clued up on the sort of exercise that keeps you fit and strong. It's a complete phallacy and very outdate mode of thought that you need to exercise for hours every day. She probably does 20 to 30 minute HIIT sessions, a bit of running, a bit of weight training, perhaps Pilates. I don't think she's a slave to it at all. She does look slimmer than she has before, but I suspect she is rather ragged at the moment with 3 under 6s (nanny or no nanny, I bet she's very hands on and I think she probably likes to cook etc. too).

YearOfYouRemember · 31/10/2018 17:32

Apparently Meghan's pants weren't showing through her skirt but an optical illusion.

Minimammoth · 31/10/2018 17:37

That’s no optical illusion. Sorry, that is a pant line.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 31/10/2018 17:38

I said on a another thread that I thought Meghan might be having the baby in March.
But on the other hand it could be twins?

user1457017537 · 31/10/2018 17:46

I have heard that the Royals never eat any food that hasn’t been prepared by their own chefs. There is too much potential risk re food poisoning etc. They are incredibly cautious and don’t take any chances.

OrcinusOrca · 31/10/2018 17:47

Going to have to properly wade in on here, I lurk so much anyway! I love Kate's style I think she's got it nailed and it's rare I dislike a look of hers. I am not a fan of most of what Meghan wears. I don't feel like she dresses well for her body shape, but maybe I'm just used to Kate's sharp lines and tailored clothing?

I am sure Meghan is lovely but there is just something about Kate that draws me in.

user1457017537 · 31/10/2018 17:48

I think Kate is looking too thin and drawn. I think it is aging and doesn’t suit her. It is far too easy to slip into eating disorder territory.

owlshooting · 31/10/2018 17:48

Tracy - I wondered that actually. They would know from the scan though wouldn't they?

YearOfYouRemember · 31/10/2018 17:51

I've thought Harry and Meghan are having twins from very early on and I suspect they'll tell no one. Until the birth

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 31/10/2018 17:58

Yes Owl the scan would normally show twins unless one is hiding behind the other!

owlshooting · 31/10/2018 18:02

Year - what made you suspect that?

CoachBombay · 31/10/2018 18:34

I don't think twins run in either parents families though do they?

I also think standing on the lido steps with 2 squishy babies instead of one would be the best surprise ever though!! I love babies 😁

Tell that to the Queen Mum when she choked on a fish bone.
