I'm only wee

5ft 1 and a size 10

I've already done the princess style wedding first time around #doomed

What do you think of this?

I suspect it might swamp me

Would you like to see a bride in a jumpsuit?

I don't like it. But, if you do, go for it.

PeridotCricket · 21/10/2018 11:18

I think there’s other non princess’s style things out there to get married in. Someone linked on here a while ago to a beautiful simple white bride jumpsuit with a cowl back.

The lace and stuff makes it look cheap and a bit Anne summers...

And I think being tall helps with jumpsuits.

Or a tea dress instead or vintage style ....

EvePolastriSorryBaby · 21/10/2018 11:21

I think you should wear whatever you want on your big day!
I think it's gorgeous- wouldn't look too much different from a dress when you're swishing around.

Enjoy!!

BabyLlamasInPyjamas · 21/10/2018 11:35

Oh @PeridotCricket that's lovely

I am quite girly (is that an acceptable term these days ) - but a wee bit alternative too

I'm torn between dress and leather jacket with DMs

Or a jumpsuit

I had the "fairytale" wedding in a castle when I was 20..beautiful day but I was miserable the entire time

DFiance says I can wear jeans and a T-shirt as long as I'm happy - I do want something that lends itself to the traditional wedding idea - ie an ivory dress or jumpsuit or whatever

I love it. I was looking at a dress from that same designer this morning. I think it’s a great choice for a second wedding, different but still weddingy

BabyLlamasInPyjamas · 21/10/2018 11:37

I love these

However whilst I'm alright looking with hair and makeup done, I am not a model 😂

Kaley Cuoco recently wore a beautiful lace jumpsuit for her second wedding, for the evening reception. For the ceremony she had a dress with a cape.

@susurration wow 😍

Jumpsuits aren't special enough for a wedding imo. What about a special dress in not-white?

TigerJae · 21/10/2018 12:09

Someone linked to this website yesterday on another thread.
This dress looks ace with a leather jacket :

IsTheRainEverComingBack · 21/10/2018 12:48

I think a lovely white jumpsuit is much more special and interesting for a wedding than just a nice dress in another colour. White jumpsuit will reallt stand out.

funmummy48 · 21/10/2018 12:58

I love the jumpsuit!

BabyLlamasInPyjamas · 21/10/2018 13:13

I can't do tea length. My legs are about three inches long and I look ridiculous in them

I always feel good in jumpsuits on nights out

They're my go to. If I could get married in a leopard print one I would

I quite like the idea of a jumpsuit, but I don't like the one pictured. And I think it would completely swamp someone 5'1

PalacePalacePalace · 21/10/2018 13:20

You could get married in a leopard print one. Nothing stopping you, if you like it and it suits you. Do what makes you happy

CaseStudyResearch · 21/10/2018 13:38

I was desperate to get married in a cream jumpsuit with a cape. Couldn’t find one anywhere and didn’t get a great reaction from people - DH kept singing ABBA and Elvis songs to me, although said that I would look amazing in it.

Reiss and Asos have some gorgeous ones. I think I also saw one in Pronovias’ latest collection.

RebelWitchFace · 21/10/2018 13:44

What about a short/knee length wedding dress? There are quite a few that are lovely, girly but a bit different too.

RebelWitchFace · 21/10/2018 13:47

However if you really want a jumpsuit, go for it. I'd probably pick something not as flared, but more tailored if I were you though.

Enigmam · 21/10/2018 14:07

I totally get it. I'm looking for a dress for my second wedding, done the big traditional dress and want something simple this time. I love the dress & leather jacket. It's edgy but still beautiful in its simplicity.

TheFaerieQueene · 21/10/2018 14:11

Wear what you like - even leopard print if you want. What ever you wear will be bridal because you will be a bride.

TruffleShuffles · 21/10/2018 15:54

I think a jumpsuit sounds fantastic. I had a Stéphanie Allin dress when I got married but I was so tempted to go for this jumpsuit from the same range but I wasn’t brave enough. If I did it again I’d definitely wear a jumpsuit.

My dw wore a jumpsuit for our wedding and looked stunning. She is only about 5ft 2.
The top was beaded and legs chiffon. As legs are wide so did look like skirt at times.
She also wore a cape for ceremony.

I love the jumpsuit!!! Do it!!

PippilottaLongstocking · 21/10/2018 16:29

Samira Wiley’s wife wore a jumpsuit and cape for their wedding and it was gorgeous! I can’t find a decent photo right now though
