Is this dress ok for a wedding?

My friend doesn't think I can wear this to her wedding.
Opinions?
It will be in winter so I was thinking of adding some kind of shrug type thing over the top during the service then on the night removing it

Is this dress ok for a wedding?

It's ok. Looks a bit tight! Why doesn't she want you to wear it?

CottonSock · 18/10/2018 20:57

It's her wedding, so I would probably go with her opinion to keep the peace. It's a bit more night out I think

Northernmum100 · 18/10/2018 20:58

That is a gorgeous dress and you look great in it. That isn't the problem is it? She is worried it might be a show stealer...?

Also have bedroom envy here.....

MyAuntyBadger · 18/10/2018 20:59

Where is your bed from? It's lovely.

Roystonv · 18/10/2018 21:00

Sorry but it's a no from me, just too tight/bright and bosomy for daytime.

SleepingStandingUp · 18/10/2018 21:00

You look gorgoeus and you clearly have an AMAZING figure which the dress shows off

However is her wedding the place where you want to look hot

What kind of wedding is it ie church, wild beach party, middle of a field?
What are chef objections?

Cherries101 · 18/10/2018 21:00

It’s your friend’s wedding. If she says it’s out then it’s out.

simplysally4 · 18/10/2018 21:00

Unfortunately this is the pic of the model wearing it ha ha
I love the dress and the colour and thought red with it being a December wedding.

spanishwife · 18/10/2018 21:01

If you asked the bride and she said no, then respectfully don't wear it. It's very sexy, so probably better for a party and not a wedding.

MyAuntyBadger · 18/10/2018 21:01

Oh sorry, I wouldn't wear the dress to a wedding. It's lovely for a night out though.

SleepingStandingUp · 18/10/2018 21:01

Also just clicked on to look at the bed they're going on about. Is that nipple? Really not wedding classy is it.

simplysally4 · 18/10/2018 21:01

She just said her family wouldn't approve

OP posts:
GinIsIn · 18/10/2018 21:02

It looks very nightclubby

SleepingStandingUp · 18/10/2018 21:02

Oh sorry OP, model needs a bra.

OK so still gorgeous dress but still no.

What is brides objection?

simplysally4 · 18/10/2018 21:03

I would deffo wear a bra with it and a shrug for daytime.

OP posts:
rainbowtrain · 18/10/2018 21:03

Regardless of the dress (lovely bed by the way) I think if she has expressed a dislike would you be happy/ comfortable wearing it?
Or just curious about why she won't like it.

I am foreign and that dress would not be very well received if it was a church wedding

SleepingStandingUp · 18/10/2018 21:03

Church wedding?

Whisky2014 · 18/10/2018 21:03

It's not weddingy, its a going out drinking dress you can see the girls nipples...

No I'd not wear that to a wedding.

rainbowtrain · 18/10/2018 21:04

@SleepingStandingUp if you think the model needs a bra you should se my post pregnancy boobs 😂😂

simplysally4 · 18/10/2018 21:04

This over the top

Is this dress ok for a wedding?
OP posts:
simplysally4 · 18/10/2018 21:05

No it's not a church wedding.
It's a hotel (a nice hotel )

OP posts:
rainbowtrain · 18/10/2018 21:05

@simplysally4 a bit too Mrs Klaus 🧐🎄

simplysally4 · 18/10/2018 21:06

I have no idea when it comes to weddings.
I've only been to 1 wedding and I was the bridesmaid.

OP posts:
Whisky2014 · 18/10/2018 21:06

Nah looks too cheap imo

SleepingStandingUp · 18/10/2018 21:07

rainbowtrain yes but you're not selling hot hot dresses with nipples on show lol

OP I think you need a short Cape, jacket etc but something that stays closed over the top, not one you have to hold.
I'd respect my friends wishes though and find something else.
