Is this dress ok for a wedding?

My friend doesn't think I can wear this to her wedding.
Opinions?
It will be in winter so I was thinking of adding some kind of shrug type thing over the top during the service then on the night removing it

It's on the actual website so I doubt it's a black dildo

The last thing you want to do is offend the family. Find another dress.
I don't see anything wrong with red but agree that putting white fur with red at Christmas is a bit too Santa Claus.

I really like it. My Sisters wore similar to my wedding and I was 8 months pregnant and feeling horrible Didn't bother me in the slightest. They looked stunning.

Ohyesiam · 19/10/2018 09:57

As the bride has warned you that it wouldn’t go down well with her family, you can’t really wear it.

simplysally4 · 19/10/2018 11:39

I've found this dress and really like it .
What do you think?
She's turned around and said the bows on the chairs are this colour tho so she would prefer a different colour

That is gorgeous!!!
Ok I was with her before but the bows thing is silly
I love it OP

CottonSock · 19/10/2018 13:29

It looks like it will fall off..

SundayGirls · 19/10/2018 18:09

That's gorgeous. I think she probably thinks it's a bit too light-coloured (i.e. bridal) but has blamed it on the bows instead (which is silly, and it'd be your choice whether or not you toned in with the chair bows).

It is a touch pale but my (quite sensitive) bride-o-meter of fairness says it falls in the right side of OK. (I am usually always on the bride side as you only have one day as a bride - except chair bows excuse is ridiculous). It is definitely pale blue not "icy blue nearly white".

I would go for that if you love it, or the orange if you love that better but pick your favourite. You'll be in it all day!

NorthernRunner · 19/10/2018 19:24

The chair bows excuse is excessive. I agree the other dress wasn’t suitable but I think she is being a bit OTT. Perhaps just to save falling out I would go orange but then I don’t ever stick up for myself Blush

PasteSandwiches · 19/10/2018 19:44

I'm not adverse to either dress at all but both seem to be showing a fair bit of breast/cleavage. I suspect that's the brides issue with them (and I'm not saying it's in any way right for her to be like that). If you know her and trust her to be looking out for you, change the dress. If she's a prima donna, bridezilla with bust envy, change the dress to avoid a drama and fizzle out the friendship asap.

MoltonSilver · 19/10/2018 19:48

Its lovely. Get another colour as she's expressed a preference but I think it's time to stop asking her opinion as she's going too far.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 19/10/2018 19:58

No, it's a bit much, to be honest, sorry.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 19/10/2018 20:02

Ooh, loving the second one, beautiful !
