Harry & Meghan have arrived in Sydney.
The purple folders coordinating with her coat will not slow down speculation...

Ah I only read a quote that sort of implied otherwise.

The ANZAC photo - why do women stand duck-toed?

i experimented yesterday with walking down the street, holding on to DH the way Meghan clings on to Harry (i.e. with both hands). It felt very unnatural and as though I was escorting him to our destination!

Definitely prefer Kate's wardrobe.

I wish that there was a Royal who was truly pear shaped (i.e. small bosom and large hips and bottom ) as I would love to see some style tips! I would count the Yorks as hourglass due to the bosom.

I saw that article about the female bodyguard and it REALLY bugged me that she wears stiletto heels - you can't run in stilettos as quickly as you can run in flats. I don't know why she would put her image before the ability to do the job to the best of her ability!

SenecaFalls · 20/10/2018 12:44

I guess people do go by their middle names sometimes for whatever reason.

I do because my middle name is what my parents chose to call me. Same with my husband and my son.

LimpyLampy · 20/10/2018 12:47

She is obviously a very tactile person. DH is tactile and tries to hold my hand all the time. I’m not a tactile person. He thinks it is natural. It makes me feel like I’m a child likely to run off. We are all different.

Yes, so many potential reasons as detailed above. Can’t say I’ve given it much thought with regards to the DoS 🤷🏼‍♀️

QueenOfTheAndals · 20/10/2018 13:26

I did a google and found one yearbook photo where she's Rachel and a later one where she's Meghan. So it isn't an acting thing. Also, Doria calls her "Meg" which indicates that she started calling herself that a long time ago.

Laiste · 20/10/2018 13:29

I thought exactly the same about the body guard in heels. It's just odd.

Clionba · 20/10/2018 13:31

I wouldn't want a bodyguard of mine to be in high heels!

QueenOfTheAndals · 20/10/2018 13:36

He is starting to look more like Charles but I think he's more handsome - Charles was never a looker, even in his youth. If anything he also resembles the DoE, who definitely WAS a looker!

TipseyTorvey · 20/10/2018 13:38

Okay even I'm starting to get bored of the black and navy now. I say that dressed head to toe in blue jeans and a navy jumper myself but for work I have a range of bright coloured shirts and jackets. Hoping for some lighter outfits soon.

Clionba · 20/10/2018 13:41

I think Harry resembles Philip. Philip was very handsome back in the day!

GrumbleBumble · 20/10/2018 13:48

Clionba me too I used to think he looked like Charles Spencer when younger but he is the double of a young DofE now.

Clionba · 20/10/2018 15:37

Yes, Harry has the distinctive Battenberg nose. Just like Charles, it has that bump in the middle.

QueenOfTheAndals · 20/10/2018 15:48

This photo should be compulsory viewing for anyone who says Harry is Hewitt's!

GrumbleBumble · 20/10/2018 15:58

Queen that and the fact that Diana and James Hewitt didn't meet until after Harry was born!

QueenOfTheAndals · 20/10/2018 15:58

Well yes, that goes without saying!

ajandjjmum · 20/10/2018 16:07

Quite a lot of people seem to think that small fact doesn't matter! Grin

evilharpy · 20/10/2018 17:56

Meghan is in Gillian Anderson for the opening of the Invictus Games. Yes, THAT Gillian Anderson.

Harry's speech is here. Made me a bit teary, it's a lovely speech. I wonder if he wrote it himself or whether he has help with that sort of thing.

Clionba · 20/10/2018 17:58

It was a lovely speech. No notes, natural, it sounded from the heart. He has a great smile!

WipsGlitter · 20/10/2018 18:37

Um I think he was using an autocue!

LimpyLampy · 20/10/2018 18:53

Of course they do not write their own speeches. I imagine if they are passionate about a cause they deliver it better though.

LimpyLampy · 20/10/2018 18:55

The RF don’t actually do anything except support causes. Some might argue that if their living expenses were spent in the actual causes, more good might be achieved.

QueenOfTheAndals · 20/10/2018 18:55

I doubt he wrote the whole speech but he probably had a lot of input into it. Invictus is his passion, there's no way he'd leave the writing entirely up to someone else.

owlshooting · 20/10/2018 19:20

Wow! What a great speech.
