Hi all , can anyone advise on sizing of the emanuelle dress please ? I've got the yasmin in a14 but the top is massive so I'm wondering wether I should size down for the emanuelle as it looks oversized and I'd rather it fitted if that makes sense ?
Thanks

Ellapaella · 09/10/2018 12:54

Had a spare couple of hours this morning in Birmingham and my hotel is right near the Bullring so I popped along to have a look in Cos.
Goodness me.. I could spend a fortune on that shop!
Beautiful fabric, beautifully cut clothes, so simple but hang so well.
Tried a few things on but couldn't buy anything as it's all so £££ this close to Christmas.
The website is so dire I never got what the fuss was about but having been into the store I'm now a believer!

hendricks, it depends on your boob situation. I went up two sizes to a 16 and it still gaped.

Cos is lovely, isn’t it. That website and the £6 delivery charge does them no favours. Are you having a good time, Ella?

Having an even better time now I've managed to do a bit of shopping thanks cherries! 😉

dontcallmelen · 09/10/2018 13:23

That skirt is lovely Ella the cos website always depresses me, the models & styling always makes think they have escaped from something awful, yy though when you see in RL they have some really good stuff, enjoy your conference.

dontcallmelen · 09/10/2018 13:42

Laska I’m going shopping tomorrow & have a local large primark & H&M did you want me to have a look for longline charcoal vests for you?

hendricksy · 09/10/2018 13:47

@ilovecherries I'm a 32 f/g . Did you keep it ? Is it flattering? I'm a size ish 12 hourglass

ilovecherries · 09/10/2018 13:57

hendricks I’m a 32K. I didn’t keep it, it wasn’t wearable for me. Because I had to go big everywhere else, was hard to say if it was flattering or not. It’s a pretty dress though, and if you can get a decent fit, I can see it would be very comfortable.

ella I love that Cos jumper! Which one is it??

Laska5772 · 09/10/2018 19:45

Len thanks . Cherries and Ella had a look but didnt see any so maybe the time is past.. but if one jumps out at you then yes, that would be great . probably a 16 as that's what cherries has, or possibly a 14 would be also fine .

. Does Primark come up small? I have never shopped there.. I do usually get the largest size in Ts in H&M.. (H&M dont have any in s charcoal btw so no need to look especially there) Thanks for offering x

We have all gone a bit quiet for us! .. Are we all shopped out ?

( I have never been to Cos either.. )

dontcallmelen · 09/10/2018 20:07

laska primark sizing can be a bit on the small side, will also have a look in topshop/zara they usually do good vest tops as well.
I haven’t really bought anything for a while, except a cashmere cardigan & Tilly navy jumper from boden in the sale, not exciting enough to post a pic off , I’m off out with dd tomorrow as she would like some new clothes for her birthday on Friday, looking forward to seeing stuff in shops rather than just online for a change.
Also after some smart navy trousers, any ideas of where to look?

Laska5772 · 09/10/2018 20:15

We have Top Shop here len, but thanks, I only really want a charcoal long line one, (and I do have the Hush one ordered on waitlist ) but please dont put yourself out .

Is there a John Lewis where you are going? I liked the Jigsaw trousers but quite £££

Laska5772 · 09/10/2018 20:15

Laura Ashley or Monsoon may also be good .

PorpoisefullyObtuse · 09/10/2018 20:27

Could you do a dye job laska....

dontcallmelen · 09/10/2018 20:28

No John Lewis, have to go into central London which we might do if I have the energy, ooh hadn’t thought of LA or jigsaw will have a look.
Am lusting after your cashmere jumpers you have from JL, hoping they might come my way for my birthday/Christmas.

Laska5772 · 09/10/2018 20:29

Grin Porpoise! sadly if you dyed a while one grey the stitching would still be white ..

PorpoisefullyObtuse · 09/10/2018 20:36

Damn!

ilovecherries · 09/10/2018 20:39

I’ve been quiet as I’ve been trying to sew a copy of the whistles Lola but in a cord fabric. I suspect it is beyond my skills! The air has been blue for 48 hours.

dontcallmelen · 09/10/2018 20:46

I can’t imagine you swearing cherries sadly I’m only capable of button sewing, so no sensible suggestions from me.

ilovecherries · 09/10/2018 20:52

Oh, I can swear with the best of them when I’m frustrated enough Grin. I’m just not a casual swearer really. Apart from ‘bloody’, but I’m not sure if that’s more of a Scottish thing, as loads of people here seem to get confused when I say it. Laska, you won’t need a 16 in the vests from Primark, mine are really too big for me.

Laska5772 · 09/10/2018 21:05

ok Thanks . Len if you do see one please can you get a 14?.. pm me if you do and i can arrange to send over the £ for you x

Laska5772 · 09/10/2018 21:08

I swear like a sailor! ..

I actually said the Bllx word to my boss today Blush ... However he totally agreed with me ..(it was about us having to do doing equality impact assessments on something entirely not relevant ... but such is the way of Local Government .. )
