Picking up my first Hush purchase today on a click and collect :)

@Ellapaella I have last years hush parka .. thr hood is ridiculously huge but I kept it . I've been wearing it loads without the hood and lining and the sleeves rolled up etc as an autumn jacket and it's great . It's beautifully made but very heavy with the hood and lining , plus it adds pounds 😬

@hendricksy it is a lovely coat! Just not for me. I was in love with the lining, couldn't stop stroking it 😁
Was gutted to send back but it just wasn't quite right on me.

They always seem to make parka hoods huge.. I have a brilliant warm and waterproof £££ Musto one ( but picked up for less than a third in TKmaxx a year ago ..) . The trouble is crossing roads in it with the hood up ...

Was wondering if Hush might release anything more now they have finished their mid-term sale?

Home to day and have lots of house jobs to do, wearing gap jeans , blue slub T and currently hush burgundy raglan which has such a bargain in that last sale

I know , it is super soft .. I am a parka type of person though 🤗

There is something about looks like this that keeps drawing me back. I already have the A&G trainers . Do you think it’s workable on a Hush budget (not nec FROM Hush) without buying spendy Me&Em trousers and (very very) silk shirts? It’s just so comfy looking.

cherries I think it’s more than possible, lots of those type of trousers about most of the high street stores have some sort of version, yy the shirt again very dependent on fabric, but definitely doable.

oh shit...... My DM has fallen and broken her hip ..

I've got some lovely smart joggers from h and m . I reckon you could work that look or maybe sew some red material down the side . Also Zara have loads of joggers with stripes like that .

Laska hope you don’t have to wait to long, that’s the worst bit once you know how they can treat her etc, it will hopefully help stop your mind running off at all different tangents.

Laska nooo you are not hijacking I’m really glad you can feel as those you have some support, least that’s something & it’s not to difficult to get to her, sending lots of positive thoughts.

Yes, I am but am fine (well used to it, DH has worked away for most of our 24yr relationship ,!) .. .. DH says he will come home tomorrow if needed.. I expect though ill be going to mainland ..

Have already spoken to boss , who is always v supportive in this sort of thing .. I'm more worried about my DF's mental state , right now , mum is in the right place to get proper help, but he will be distraught .. Luckily my brother is there

Aww Laska I really feel for you, really good your boss is supportive that makes a huge difference & definitely Dm in the right place, totally understand you being worried about DF, it can be very difficult when you are older coping with worry/stressful situations, at least he is not alone & as you say you can be there in the morning.

Take care of yourself Laska at least your DB and DF are with her so she’s not alone. I had a very ill DM years ago on her own, with full time live in care as I was too far away (I’m an only child) to help with practical things and it was a very sad time. Old age ain’t for sissies that’s for sure
You’ll be there in the morning to give support and a break to the others and your DM.
One lesson I learnt at the time is not to think I’m superwoman and accept gratefully all the help (emotional or practical) I was given and it really helped.
I was blown away by so much kindness and prefer to forgive now those who turned their back on my DM knowing the circumstances she found herself in. It was hard on her and me as all I could do is give financial help but had young DC and DH I couldn’t abandon for a long time and she was too ill to come to us.

On fashion news distracting tactic my Hush parcel with navy blue flash sale Stella jumper and drill skirt came. They’re both keepers!
If you want to know more or want to see in RL I can post pics tomorrow when light is better, but as the flash sale is over I won’t bore you otherwise with details.
Very pleasantly surprised and happy that this parcel is a keeper 👍
