Ella those boots are the same as the ASOS ones I bought (wide fit, supremely comfy), at the time with 20% discount but even at full £60 price I think they’re bargainous and perfect dupes.

Thanks everyone. Will have a massive try on session. If I wear boots, I would rather wear a longer skirt or trousers I think, just because of having to take boots off at security, all that bending. I wish I had the skill of elevating outfits from ‘nice clothes’ to ‘great outfit’. I always look completely presentable, but I never look insouciant like the Instagram Woman.

cherries I remember you a few threads back wearing a fabulous leopard print coat with white jeans/trousers, you could pair that combo with a plain black cashmere jumper and black trainers.
I think white/cream jeans in winter paired with jumpers are even better than in summer feel free to disagree if you think I’m deluded
I just remember that combo looked super cool on you but not sure if you bought or were simply trying on...

cherries if you’re going on the Eurostar to Brussels you won’t need to take boots off or faff about with liquids, just a thought in case you haven’t booked your flight yet

I also thought the insect shirt you posted a few pages back (did you keep) is quirky and on trend, try that with different trousers/trainers and you could use a large wrap/scarf with your coat that then could double up as a warm layer indoors with the insect top (it may not be needed with central heating in any case)

I’m flying from Scotland, Soy. Eurostar adds another two days for me, unfortunately. I do have the coat. And I do have white trousers although they are vacuum packed away now at home. Could retrieve if nec! I also have a fine knit boatneck black cashmere. I did also keep the insect shirt. This is the leopard coat.

never, when you say long cardigan, how long do you mean. Boyfriend down to hip, or Sabrina-type long to knee?

Although I suspect the white trousers are probably on the big side now, I remember when I packed them thinking they’d probably be for ebay in the spring.

Wear that coat!! It’s amazing and all you need to make a statement but underneath the red insect top will be too much so it has to be the black cashmere and a necklace.

But if you decide on the insect top instead with a different coat do consider a big scarf which doubles up as a wrap indoors, I do this a lot unless it’s middle of winter cold, as I find as soon as I’m indoors with the central heating I don’t need more than a couple of light layers. The scarf has to be big enough to double as a wrap though...I’m not sure I’m describing it very well.

If you decide on the fabulous leopard coat with black cashmere only wear a very light vest underneath or you’ll melt indoors

Btw thanks for posting the question as never gave lots of ideas too which I really liked (even if I don’t own a leather skirt) and can use myself for future work trips

Yes, maybe should think about the day clothes rather than the coat for this, as the coat will be in the cloakroom all day and no one will see it.

I don’t normally fret about my clothes to this extent. And this is vanity, pure and simple. And an unbecoming desire to give some people a ‘fuck you’ message. I have no higher motives at all, I’m afraid to say.

cherries and why not? What we wear makes a statement and should make us feel good. If your statement for this particular day is fuck you I’m all for that! 💪

Hello I’ve been lurking for a while as I really didn’t feel the love for new season of Hush so didn’t buy anything after an initial purchase of wide tops and leopard print leggings.

I’ve been looking on eBay lots though and there are a few bits I like (and someone on here is probably selling!). Are Stella jumpers still a good buy? I love them but don’t have £50 to spend on something I won’t wear much. Also the green sweatshirt with the heart on it. I’m sure I remember someone saying how much they liked it about 2000 posts back.

I need jeans too and can’t decide whether to get the dark blue bf which are on BrandAlley or save up and buy some new skinnies as wearing boots more now or the current star print bf ones.

The more I look on Hush the more things I see that I think I might like now I’ve got used to the winter colours but I just can’t make my mind up and the discount finishes tonight

Hi info personally I love the Stella jumpers, I do wear a lot and if you’re into stars imho it’s the best cut in the high street for this type of jumper. Don’t expect it to look great past the winter season though, my old Stella jumpers are now looking a bit tired after a few washes, still okay for everyday but no longer fit for work or more dressy occasions.
But I still think for £ per wear it’s good value.
Don’t forget this is just a flash sale and there’s bound to be a mid season sale in November where a lot more stuff will be vastly reduced

I bought the sale navy blue Stella with gold star btw but will not receive till Monday, can’t comment on how the quality compared with previous seasons versions so keeping fingers crossed it’ll be similar.
On the green heart sweat some people love it. I didn’t and returned, it’s very boxy cut and I’ve got big boobs so it didn’t flatter my shape but quality wise I remember it was thick (brushed cotton on the inside) and good quality cotton.

Cherries I took my lovely black wool coat to my conference, didn't wear it at all. Not even out in evening so I'd agree find coat to match the outfit rather than other way round iyswim.

SoYo the boots are a great price! I may have to relinquish my halo and scratch that itch 😉

ella yy on ASOS boots! And wide fit! See if you can find a discount voucher online, I do love mine. The leather is fine, not too stiff and at the price really good value/on trend style. Let me know if you want me to post a pic of mine so you can decide based on RL rather than online pic
